    This is a wonderful tutorial with clear instructions. I tried this a couple days ago and all my steamers turned out perfectly. I used small, medium and large sized silicone molds. The few attempts I’ve made with bath bombs in the past were not successful ones, so I was hesitant to use a whole ounce of menthol crystals in this project.
    Thank you for sharing this recipe.

    Hi there!! Love love your videos! I’m about to make these and so excited for them. I’ve got two questions.
    1. Can I substitute corn starch for the clay?
    2. I live in a very humid climate, should I make any adjustments to the wet or dry ingredients to account for the humidity?
    Thank you so much :)

    Thank your for making this video.
    Quick questions,
    1. why did you use KC
    2. What did you use Poly 80 for?
    3. Is there a rule of thumb for how much mental crystal to use?
    Thanks!

    Hi! I love this video, very helpful. I made my first batch but noticed the scent started to fade after 1-2 weeks. Is this normal? Perhaps it's best not to make them ahead of time?

    I wanted to let you know that I made my first batch and I love them! I will be crediting U on my channel in my video. So that if they want the recipe they will have to go to hours, I only think that's fair. Th so much, however, I still wanted to know why the kaylin clay? What does that do? Do some people add tar tar? I would love to know for my own use, thanks again😍

    something so interesting happened for me! in mixing the wet ingredients (with menthol crystals), my mixture started to thicken like a lotion! i wonder if it was the polysorbate 80-i was mixing it with a whisk while in the hot bath instead of shaking.

    What is the purpose of the poly 80? Trying to make a recipe without unnecessary ingredients. Does it by chance help bind the dissolved menthol so it doesn’t recrystallize? Thanks!

    Great video! I'm wondering if the shower steamers can be used as bath bombs too? I have family that only use the shower and some who would soak in the tub and I'd like to only make one product that hopefully both could use.

    • @UntidyArtist
      @UntidyArtist  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question! You can absolutely use these as bath bombs as long as you take into consideration these two important things...
      1. Make sure the mica you are using is skin-safe for the bath. Each supplier should list which micas are skin-safe for bath bombs. Nurture Soap and Mad Micas both have links on their websites for micas that are safe.
      2. Test for allergies with all essential oils and menthol and keep in mind menthol can be irritating to the skin.*** Be sure you double check when using with children. Thanks for watching! :)

    Hello Emily. I made the steamers and they are drying now. but to my surprise they begin to rise and tear. what could i have done wrong?

    • @UntidyArtist
      @UntidyArtist  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Martine, How frustrating! I experience this when I add too much of the rubbing alcohol. They start to rise and tear because the baking soda and citric acid are starting to react. Hope this helps!

    Can you use witch hazel instead of alcohol

    • @UntidyArtist
      @UntidyArtist  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have never substituted witch hazel for the alcohol in this recipe. I know some people prefer to use it over the alcohol. I use the alcohol because it evaporates giving you a solid shower steamer. If you decide to use witch hazel I would suggest not using the full amount called for in the recipe at first, and then add more if needed when you are mixing it together. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching!
