    The Grand Seiko is probably the most useful tool watch for any medical professionals. The fact that it could be worn by an interventional radiologist every day (extreme high magnetism environment), most patients don’t know what a Grand Seiko is (it isn’t like a patient seeing a Rolex on your wrist), and the fact that it is quartz for measuring heart bpm is huge - it’s essentially a doctor’s Milgauss with a deadbeat seconds complication.

    • @KB-vf4gz
      @KB-vf4gz ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Do you have any experience working in a hospital wearing any number of different brands in an “ extreme high magnetism environment “ ? Bc if you do I can tell u I work physically close to these “ environments “ and cannot tell any difference at all in performance with many brands I wear in a rotation the magnetism environment topic is very overblown…🙄🙄🙄

    • @Mister_Anders0n
      @Mister_Anders0n ปีที่แล้ว +7

      @@KB-vf4gzi do have that kind of experience. Since i work in MRI i jumped on this video thinking "hell yeah, maybe a watch that doesn't lose time after a shift in MRI". But with a magnetic field of AT LEAST 0,2 T [2000 gauss] every watch on this list won't do the job. Best advice: go to work, leave your watch in the car, earn your pay, turn back, wear the watch again.

      @Yoshikaable ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Mister_Anders0n adding to your point, the MRI I had was 3T, which I just learned is 30,000 Gauss. I wonder if repeated exposure still magnetizes a 30000 Gauss rated watch

    I found the Damasko DS30 thanks to Teddy’s videos and opted to buy one as my first luxury watch over the Sinn 556. Can honestly say I’ve never looked back and it brings me so much joy.
    Completely agree with the Milgauss appeal as I wear my DS30 in the labs working as a microbiologist. I know it can handle anything I throw at it, and it hasn’t shown a single scratch in the year I’ve worn it daily. So thanks for your part in that Teddy! And glad it’s getting more recognition!

    Hey Teddy. Do you think that the hype of "who can go deeper" will wane over time? We've already had Omega and Rolex effectively go as deep as we can go underwater, meaning that pieces used to show technological and engineering prowess in the pursuit for deeper depths and not actual practical use (Deepsea and Planet Ocean lines) could potentially fade into the background like the Milgauss did? The Deepsea challenge most certainly wont last long, but the Sea Dweller Deepsea certainly cant last much longer, can it? A dive option for a brand (Submariner in this case) as well as a piece capable of greater depths (Sea-Dweller) is certainly all a brand needs and the Deepsea line was just part of the pursuit to show off the brands capabilities more so than create a piece of practical use?
