Hey, Jumpin! Nice build as always, but I believe you need to switch the position of your Axe and Spear in order for you to benefit from passives that say "having spear equipped as your main weapon" otherwise there is no point. I tested this with my Katana build in my first playthrough and I lost all the Ki and HP bonuses when I switched the position on my weapons.

I have been using warrior of the east for a lot of builds myself. its just super easy to swap out gloves and a weapon to get a dmg bonus for a skill set bonus. plus with strength as the second 99 stat you can easily switch to something other than spear and have a variety of weapons to choose from and not have to change out every armor piece to use something different. Might not be min maxed for dmg or def, but the versatility that warrior of the east brings far outweighs the dmg/def gains of other sets imo. We'll see if that holds up in higher difficulties when DLC drops though.

I like this game alot and spear is one of my absolute favorites. For me, I put reckless slice on flying money because you can't pulse anyways so it's a free 10% damage. Plus, it already hits hard. It's amazing.
That would prevent you from ki pulsing after Cull the Herd. I usually put it on spear flourish.

Quick question: Where are you finding the “twisting spear” stats you’ve soul matched to your armor? I just finished dots and haven’t seen it on any armor yet ( or seen it to temper on it). Thanks for the vid

Apparently the community did some testing and while it appears to do so visually, Shuten Doji defence buff does NOT stack with Tengen's mid stance buff.
I found this out from my testing too. Onryoki is a better choice and cheaper

yo jumpin would u say that Nioh 1 and 2 are better or more fun to play than sekiro? ive played bloodborne and all the darksouls several times but never got around to these games or sekiro so im debating on which ide rather play. Figured ude have good insight on this??
Both are good, play sekiro if you want an action game, get nioh if you want a rpg

I was sporting a similar build a week ago but using the Child of the Sun set for luck based damage and additional option to use twin blades. Also Matazas for triple threat and twisting spear on gauntlet. Very optimized for Insane damage+range.
Dual blades and spear go really well together
I heard spear is great to start with as it scales of VIT. I'm either starting with Spear or Axe, not decided yet.
Also started with spear as new player, its been really nice to me so far. Simple combos, the Spear rush is very useful for "cheesing" human opponents too. Rush into them and they will start to block only after the 3-4th hit, so you can get some damage in very safely.
How is this build holding up with Dream of the Demon difficulty? Is it still viable or did you have to change alot? I'm trying to find a workable set since my odachi op build got my massacred
It should be fine, I run an axe and switchglaive, neither weapon goes together. I wear a tatenashi set, I have no star effects or special graces. Any build as long as your weapon and gear is leveled should be fine.

Ive a little question about Nioh 2 axe builds. If you ve to compare a 69 % B Agillity with a 75 % C Agillity (both in Todo, Same Build ,just other Weight) how big is the difference in percent (high Attack & high stance)?
I am in Todo also, I wonder what it is too. But I dont think c agility is the most viable for playing. I stay at 69 with my full tatenashi set.

I was going to run the Mataza two piece like you mentioned, but I can't get a toshii's ababus, I did have purple one, but accidentally sold it and I farmed the abduction side mission accessory spot for hours and never could get another toshii's abacus.
What difficulty are you playing on here?
How are you able to wear heavy armor in the green? I have 50 stamina and my equip load is still like 77.4.
Always forge ur armor yourself because dropped armor from enemies has high stats whats why it eats ur stats points . Remember forge ur armor if u have smithing text . Suppose forged armor will demand 7 constitution .. 8 stamina . Dropped armor from enemies will have 15 stamina and 14 constitution demand .. so thats why ur agility is yellow . Not green because u equipted droped armor not forged one.
@@GAMESTRANDINGZONE I don't see how stat requirements effect the weight of the gear though. If I meet the stat requirements it should weigh the same regardless of if it was forged or dropped.
Does grapple damage affect merciless barrage? I assumed not since you have to replace the grapple move to use it...
Its still a grapple so yes

How is this faring in Dream of the Demon? The difficulty jump is quite something. It rendered my "ninja king" build totally useless.
Tried this on NG++ and it is "okay" for the mobs but bosses will take a while to go down. Still good for tanking some hits but the damage output is nothing short of mediocre sadly.
Run with stamina and tank armor and protect tailsmans. So far so good for me and I have nothing fancy and my damage output doesn't one shot or even close to that.

Where does it say that yamanba gives attack bonus ? I've heard another channel mention this but no where does it say that
it doesn't actually say it - lol - but when you do the animation and summon her, and she appears and stabs forward at the enemy, you will automatically get a huge Attack Buff for a short time. But like many things in Nioh, they don't exactly state it, straight up -- we kind of have to Test a lot of things ourselves, and crunch the numbers to see what does what ;-)

Am sure you know this, but equipping your spear as the main weapon has a lot of skills coming with it.. So I wonder why are you equipping the axe as your main ?

No, no one can bc u can't drop loot sadly
@@yoshilee1632 they meant "drop" as in equip it and then go die to spawn a red grave with that inheritable in it, wich is absolutely possible, getting an orange inheritable on a armourpiece low enough to be dropable is very difficult

im wondering the same lol
At first I was disappointed by the lack of environmental/enemy variety, but about 30% of the way in, my opinion changed. If you like souls games, this will be an amazing experience. It compensates for the singular japanese theme by introducing a good depth of fighting and build mechanics that feels nice in action.
there are times where the game will feel more unfair then the souls games. But its a great game.
Just leave 90% of your souls experience at the door. This game has levels that follow the structure of soulsborne but thats about it. Deffinately worth it the game is amazing probs my fav game up there with the first nioh. Reccomend watching guides tho otherwise you may be confused by all the mechanics and features
