- Camper special My Favorite no matter if its a chevy or a ford www.1ownercargu... and this is a Super clean 1 or 2 Owner Pickup Truck W/ Slide in Camper Rv Caravan. This Truck is CLEAN and so is the Slide in part Make sure and call me anytime This is a Very Heavy Duty Truck has the big REAL 9.50 X 16.5 75 PSI tires so it doesent even feel like you have a load on the truck you would Never Know there was a big ole camper on it. This truck brings back some good memories of when I was a kid. We never needed to stay at a motel when we traveled.
Geezzzz I was so excited to see the interior of the camper.....I got dizzy.
Bro, my dream for a first car is a first truck, since I'm only 2 and a half more years until my drivers license, I've been surfing Craigslist and I found a white 1977 Chevy C20 Costume Deluxe with a pop up camper included already on it! I love the idea of making a hangout in this camper and I can't wait till I get this beautiful truck and a camper!
Got to say this guy doesn't miss a thing. Yes, the video has a lot of unnecessary talking points but he's thorough. He shows you everything...the good, the bad, the ugly. So if he's not talking on an issue you give much of a crap about, remember...TH-cam does offer a "skipping" feature. You can place your cursor over the progress bar and skip to any point in the video. People are interested in different points...ie, I don't care about what the engine or undercarriage looks like, only the body and interior. I care about interior, features and if everything works. I saw this 1974 and I went batshit crazy. I was 14 when this camper came out and wanted one ever since. And even though it doesn't have a bathroom, it has a pretty big closet that can be converted to one. But there is far too much water damage inside to even make it a consideration. Anytime you find a truck camper or other RV with front windows, you're going to have leakage at some point. This one was let go on too far. And the ceiling around the vent has it too which means the previous owner didn't take care of this too well. He should have removed the wood, sealed the windows and the roof way back when he first noticed a leak but he obviously didn't. But this guy is showing you this. How many used car dealers are going to show you a problem that's going to cost thousands to repair? I think some of you just need to stfu, seriously. Everyone bitches and whines like little girls because the salesman wasn't honest and make "used car salesmen" jokes...but when you find a salesman who's showing you every damned thing, good or bad, you STILL bitch and whine like little girls. Wtf do you people want, anyway?

Chevy & GMC made those generation fullsize pickups from '73 through '87 "only on the 1/2 ton & 3/4 ton regular cabs", but some of the 1 ton regular cabs on the other hand were still being produced up through '89 as classics when the production of the next generation regular cab pickups started in '88. All of the crew cab pickups, Suburbans, K5 Blazers, & Jimmys were still being produced up through '91.
I remember when these first came out. Thought they were swell trucks then, and I still have mine, a 73 GMC C25. But they do rust pretty bad if you didn't order rust-proofing.
This is now mine & making its way over to the UK on a boat very,very soon!!
I wish I could find one of those now my favorite year I had a 73 8 ft step side gorgeous truck and I love it even more with the camper
@Joel Tucker, yea these are nice trucks. When I was a kid we had one like this a bit different paint etc., but it was actually our work truck in the horticulture nursery I was working at then. Used to load up various supplies, plants and herbicide. We drove it around the property with a huge water tank and then filled our backpack sprayers. We also used it just to get around the property as a team. The place was at least 40 acres. Of course sometimes during rainy weather we'd also have some fun with it in the "muddy" areas.

my truck looks exactly like this one! it's a 77 c20 with some aluminum wheels on it., same exact paint and trim so awesome looking.

Those levelers or something similar are part of the Camper Special package on the 70's CK series. There's supposed to be a pair in the bed too.
I've never seen a complete set.

we stayed in Walmart parking los with out rv usually a fair way from the building. they never seem to mind especially if you buy something. sometimes there is quite a few rvs/in them 1 time I think almost 20 were there for the night perhaps some together not really sure. but they often even have security there too and they will kind of take care of us too and best part is its free
***** We were asked to move 1 time by police. there was some sort of emergency close by and it was also residents in the area that were asked to leave the residents I think had buses for those that had not transport. and the small group of rvs there was moved about 2 miles away. it was a fire or gas leak that was the reason for evacuation. not really sure just remember seeing several fire trucks police and medical vehicles around as well as about 5 city buses lined up.
I'd love to have one of these in 4x4. I was looking to get a Toyota Dolphin but I like exploring entirely too much to settle for a ecocamper. lol.
These are way better than any Japanese truck, as this a 3/4 ton, and 1 tonners are also available, (C30). The Japanese are only 1/2 tons in full-size trucks. If you want a 3/4 ton or a 1 tonner, you have to settle for a compact, which means a small engine that will struggle to move that much weight.

Need to replace the hvac blower motor. Most likely mice built nests inside it over the years and it wont spin
btw if you did not know this and maybe I told you? but this is a camper. now you may of seen some with no piece that goes over the cab. looks a bit like a somewhat odd looking canopy. that is a camperette
Here in Britain these kinds of campers with the over cab bit are quite common, crackin truck but doesn't seem to have a toilet so pardon the French but, unless it has one a them porta potty things, how'd you go fur a pish in the woods?

back when i lived in canada a few years ago my father in law had a rig like this ( though not as good ) so he decides to sell the camper part that goes on the pickup , he gets a buyer , and im not kidding when i say that a microsecond before the guy handed him the money the whole thing tipped over on its side and smashed to pieces , the buyer just turned and walked away ,personally i think it was karma getting him back for giving me the if you ever upset my daughter speech he he

That thing on the ceiling of the camper is not an AC (no big unit), it is probably just a fan (you can probably tell whether it pushes the air in or out.

You need brush up on your editing skills by leaving unnecessary content out like what the lawn guy did. Should have panned out in the camper more cause it was hard to tell what it really looked like inside. You videos are way to long and will just get people bored and switch to another ad. Not bad for a 40 year old truck camper.

centerfold refers to high quality? is that correct? yes I agree and the older style coloured units I like too an campers 5th Wheels and trailers they used to be colours lie green blue red and yellow and even some other colours. were mostly white too .than for a while it seemed lik many looked so alike white with not much colour added on the side. now at least with some of those huge motorhomes they got some rather wild paintjobs again. I [refer the colurs like this one and our green 1978 Wilderness 5th wheel

that truck is not original by no means... it not a custom deluxe. custom deluxe didn't have any of the options in that truck. unless ordered, has Cheyenne on the dash-now called silverado... witch would explain the wood grain, ac,door pockets, oil, amp,water gauge, trim package, ...the list goes on.. A lovely truck absolutely! but not correct and has been poorly restored. also the Camper Special/Custom Deluxe/ Cheyenne is a dead indication something isn't right...
+kent kirkpatrick Agreed, it's definitely not factory original or a custom deluxe, ( Base model) . But it is a very well maintained one. Underneath, exhaust, fuel tanks, frame etc. look fantastic. I have a '78 that was Zeibarted 2nd owner in the mid-west, that looks like a turd next to this one. He does state that its probably been painted (obviously). Should have spent the extra money on the emblems. I would have. Like you said Lovely truck.

Before 78, the Custom Deluxe was a mid grade trim. Sometimes year end models got extras to help sell them. Pre 78 Custom Deluxe did have wood trim, the Custom did not.
