I watched this while eating a delicious pepperoni pizza. The base was thin and crispy yet delightfully chewy. The cheese, a blend of tangy cheddar and stringy mozzarella, melted just to the point where it was starting to brown. The pepperoni... meaty and peppery as one could hope for. Half clad ladies in grass skirts... bah, who needs them!

Now picture pepperoni pizza being served to you by half-clad ladies in grass skirts. The pizza suddenly tasted even better, right?

I count myself as one of the many who are fascinated by the story of the Mutiny on the Bounty right from the connection between Bligh and Captain Cook to the fateful mission of the Pandora and discovery of John Adams, the last of the Mutineers on Pitcairn Island. As you show, much has changed since then but it still looks like a special place to be privileged to visit.

Tahiti was my first landfall back in the 70's. The scent of the jacaranda blossom carried 50 miles out to sea. A beautiful place to visit and experience and been a number of times since. But oh Barry, you need a second mortgage - one of the most expensive places in the world to visit and enjoy. Notable that Admiralty charts still bear the name of Capt. James Cook for doing the original survey upon which the charts are based. Bligh's voyage across the Pacific, over 4,000 miles in an open boat due the mutiny, is nothing short of incredible. Enjoy Barry and a great job with the video 👍 Try to visit Suwarrow if you can where Tom Neale spent over a decade on his paradise island and don't forget Tonga.....awesome stuff to come.................

Captain Bligh was set adrift in a 23 foot open long boat with 18 men 150 lbs biscuits and some more stores. He sailed 3600 to Timor in Indonesia. I think he only lost one man to an attack on an island where they where collecting fresh water. Bligh was a badass

Svend Billesbølle (born October 1, 1923 in Fredericia, died July 26, 2013 in Holbæk) was a Danish author and long-distance sailor.
Billesbølle has written three books on his two land tours in the boats "Stormy" and "Stormy II". Both boats were a bit smaller than the ones usually used for ground crossings, at 23 and 18 feet respectively, which has made Billesbølle known among long distance sailors.
The first land crossing was in the boat "Stormy," a 23-foot Leasure 23 from the English Cobramold, from 1982 to 1986.
The second roundabout was with "Stormy II", an 18 foot Lynæs Senior dinghy, which is today on display at the Museum of pleasure sailing on the Frederiksøen lake in Svendborg. The land crossing was from 1988 to 1995.

Great episode, many thanks for all the background information. Looking at the coastline on Google, it really is densely protected with many reef's, you did well with your cautious approach to the locations you chose. Looking forward to more from you now that you have the new "professional" video camera, you did say is was customary to "borrow" items you wanted! All the best.

Bazza, OZ then onward, guess final destination is Plymouth. I don’t see you seeing your days out in a 2/3 bed semi tending your lawn. More like a new boat and back around the world BUT this time the wrong way round, new islands new clothes. Take the big EASY with you he’ll need something to do. Can’t wait for your next adventure thought this int finished yet. ⛵️⛵️🛶👍👍

A replica of The Bounty was built in Whangarei, New Zealand to make the movie (late 70's - early 80's). Dino di Laurentis (not sure about the correct spelling) was the owner. I thnk they still have a Centre there for this, which may well be worth visiting

In 1986, Svend Billesbølle returned to Denmark after spending four years sailing the Earth in the little "Stormy" at 23 feet. The plan was to stay on land and enjoy retirement in Denmark.
But the oceans called, and two years later Svend Billesbølle was on his way again - this time in an even smaller boat, "Stormy II" at only 18 feet.
The small boat recovered incredibly and managed through several storms and a hurricane in the Pacific. As a 67-year-old, Svend Billesbølle was able to land in New Zealand after two and a half years of incredible travel experiences.
