E-CVT. planetary gears, NOT a conventional CVT with belts & cones. At least he mentioned the ‘transaxle’ which is Toyotas power split device. It is this setup that gives the class leading fuel economy and allows the system to merge petrol & electric power sources. You can’t do that as well with a Dual Clutch which was suggested as an improvement by Jonathan
eCVT has no belt rather two electric motors with planetary gearset in between them. Acts like a cvt but definitely no belts involved. Quite a hilarious mistake from big publication.
Those CVT transmissions are bulletproof, they last 500k miles without an oil change. No one wants the dual clutch crap. People these days are wanting reliability more and more.
A vehicle that has a hybrid setup is certainly not my bag!! I currently drive a fully electric car, a Renault Zoe, with which I’m very pleased. I DO NOT want to have anything to do with liquid powered vehicles!!
Clear well spoken English, excellent content. Very good outcome!

I wish Suzuki stuck a more Suzuki-like face to this car to at least make it more Suzuki looking. But I guess it’s ok. Great review!

They have been saying belt driven CVT on their reviews for years. Drives me mad.
This guy is the best at car reviews in my opinion.

And ?
Well, I’m sure you’re thankful the power plants use the fossil fuels for you so you can have their electricity for your EV.😁
How are you with liquid gas powered and coal fired power stations though? As that’s where all the electricity is coming from.
