Gorgeous bike mate, with some nice little mods. I had ruled these out as I thought they might be too cramped for me - I'm 6'1 and not too flexible. But I see I might be able to get the footpegs lowered a bit with those plates. Hopefully this will be all I need to do to be comfortable on one. Not sat on one yet.
Looking to buy my very first Super Sport bike and I'm stuck between this and the 2015 Suzuki GSXR-750.. One of the main reason why I like this 600rr is the muffler under the seat. It gives the bike such a clean look and besides, I now drive a Honda Accord Coupe V6 6Speed (MT) which is amazingly fast and looks great as well. Would be nice to have this bike as well :) So my main draw back for not getting this bike is that I'm a big guy 6'ft 235lbs but in shape I must add lol... Hmmmm, decisions decisions, any ideas anyone?
+Ahmed Abdul It was, the first time I rode it back from the dealer. The only big bike I had ridden up to that point was a Honda Hornet 500cc. I had only ridden that bike four times - for the practical tests. After a couple of days though you get used to the increased power.
mrnobelnigel Cheers. Going to make an update video soon with all of my upgrades. Yeah it's comfortable around town, I've ridden a Fireblade and that put more pressure on my wrists. Maybe I'm just used to my bike. I will say the seat was very uncomfortable for the first couple of weeks. If you're thinking about one go and book a test ride.
Great idea with the stickers in the "boot". Aside from staying legible, the bike looks cleaner. Btw, nice, clean looking bike with simple, tasteful mods. Sounds awesome too..
That really is a lovely bike, and I like the changes you've made as well, very nice. You must be very pleased with it ! Btw, my mate ( the one who binned his CBRR) has just bought a new bike ( after driving the local bike dealers nuts with test rides for a month ). A green and black Kwak Z 800. Now he has the joy of having to run it in, lol.
Nice one. I'm going to be making a separate video with all of my current modifications as I am constantly looking for motorbike videos where people have modded their bikes.
Awesome bike brother! I have a question, where would I be able to purchase the R&G protectors? Im from Canada, any website I can go to? I have the 2015 model but i heard not much difference from 2013 to lastest
Adrian Badillo Hi, thanks for your comment. You should be able to order direct from their website: www.rg-racing.com/default.aspx?pageid=4 The usual shipping and charges will apply. If I were you I would purchase the more expensive non-drill protectors. I'm glad I did when I found out each fairing is roughly $700! The 2015 model is the 2013 model but with a 2015 registration plate. There are zero differences between the 2013, 2014 & 2015 models, just the colours, in case anyone asks you out and about. Have fun and Ride safe.
im sorry for asking this but can you actually get 56.5 mpg on that bike?? i've been thinking of getting one but everyone, (people who have one) keep telling that they can't go above 40 mpg... Cause if you can actually get that mpg i need no more thinking i'll buy one!
She really is a lovely machine :) I've sat on a 600rr and being a short dude, they really aren't too good for sorties but it cant be said enough, it is an EPIC machine lol Looks great and performs fantastic :) Hope this incoming season is full of great rides :) Stay safe bro and keep the rubber side down :)
Yeah I can't speak for shorties but I'm about 6ft so this bike must be just right for me. Never get a crouched feeling from it. Thanks for your support Luke.
***** I'm 5ft 6 with a short-ass inside leg (30 inches?). I used to comfortably get on my 2009 CBR6. I could flat foot it, but only on one side. Two sides required not quite, but almost tip-toes. Really nice sized bike (for short arses like me!).
***** You're welcome. I can't wait to get mine although as it's just a starter machine as I've not passed my test yet, I'll just get something cheap until I'm more experienced.
Zooumberg All bikes are expensive for what you get imo, however a 125's value does not depreciate very much. I did not lose much money on mine even after a winter and 3K miles. My mate has a CBF125, of which I will be reviewing soon and it only cost £2K. He has done over 5K miles and I think he would agree the road experience has been worth the money alone. Advanced lessons might help but if you haven't any road craft what could they be helping you improve on? You would get more benefit from advanced riding lessons if you already had some miles behind you. Over here for example advanced rider courses are for riders that already have a fair amount of road craft so they can improve on their key weaknesses. Whether it be overtaking, cornering, slow speeds. If you're a novice however you will be quickly trying to become competent at all of these things from a base level, if that makes sense. The truth is there is just no quick way of improving your road craft other than getting mileage behind you. The more mileage, the more experiences you gain and the more prepared you are for when you hop on other bikes. Just my thoughts on the subject. Hope it goes well for you.
Thanks man. It's was my commuting bike all of last year. I try and take care of all of my possessions but I do love my bike. I don't baby her though. Use her every day. She's done almost 7K miles in the past 8 months.
Hello! Amazing bike with amazing exhaust! One question about Licence Plate holder with led turn light. Where i can find this Plate holder kit ? And brand name?
Love the review man! I will be picking one up soon! How much of a role does ABS play in your daily ride/commuting. I'm in NY and have an option of buying it without ABS (Black) with ABS (Red). There is a price difference of a grand... Which I could use to upgrade my gear and slip-on pipe... Thanks. PS. 2015 Model
+Kaha K Thanks man appreciate that. ABS is automatically on after about 5mph or so. If you have to use it then you've been going too fast or have not anticipated the situation well enough. It's nice that it is there and certainly makes the difference in stopping distance and stopping power, also means your wheel won't lock up and you won't skid down the road like you see many riders doing on fail videos. Most newer bikes like S1000RR, Gixxer 1000, R1 and ZX-10R all have ABS as standard. If you are able to sink the money on a 2015 model a grand should be neither here nor there. Imo it should come as standard on a bike this powerful. Yes you could spend the money on new gear or a new pipe but that money could get totally wasted if you were to, for instance, fail to stop in time. You're also in NY where the weather is very cold at present so even more or a reason to go for ABS rather than a slighter better sounding bike. Yes it does sound fantastic with an Akra etc but you can always get that later down the line, ABS you can't. You also won't look cool in your new gear if you're laid on your side on a road, scratch that maybe you would haha. Hope that helps, good luck with your decision.
John Hudson Probably not, if you want to ride a bike like Saiyan's 600RR then have a look at something like the Kawasaki Ninja 300 as your first bike, or even the CBR 125 depending on your height, hope that helps.
John Hudson You should be fine with either, I can just flat foot a CBR 125 and I'm 5'7, inseam 30 inch so it looks like a normal/big sized bike when I'm on mine, I'd sit on one if I were you, my 6 foot friend at work made the bike look quite small! Haha, either way make sure your happy with the ergonomics before buying, hope that helps.
I didn't get bored as such. I had planned to take my big test soon after the CBT but I wanted to get some road craft. If we're talking specifics then I bought the 125 in November 2013 then passed my test and bought the 600 the same day in May 2014. I rode 3,000 miles on the 125. Hope that helps.
Hi there.Ive got the same bike and was wondering do the front indicators stay on as running lights and or have you removed this and if so how do you do it?thanks
Hi. You're correct the front two stock indicators do stay on as running lights. I got the dealer to swap them out after a few months with Rizoma indicators and that stopped them being running lights. Hope that helps.
Hey man just wondering if you are still around. When you applied for insurance what did they quote you and what was your insurance for the first year?. The reason I ask I am 30 years old pretty much the same deal with you, I started on a cbr125r still riding it right now and have a 600rr waiting for when I pass. So just wondering about insurance because they are being a pain in the arse at the moment. Thanks again
Sup3rSaiy3n well they won't insure me so I may have to start with MCE first quote was £480 2 weeks later it was £850 which still seems OK ish but again not sure what you got. I live up in Scotland place called Elgin. Nice and quiet.
+Leo Rosado I went from a 125 to this and was fine but it's not really a beginner's bike. I would say a CBR500 is a beginner's bike. The 600RR has double the power of a 500 so you probably might not be used to it. It all depends what you are comfortable with. I would book a test ride to see if it is comfortable for you. Not all bikes ride the same.
+Daniel Vásquez Yes it's a comfortable bike for someone who doesn't get wrist or back pain when riding. You will also get to your destination quicker and safer.
+Jack Heaton If your older than 24 you can go straight to an A licence to ride any CC. CBT lets you get the 125, then Theory and mod1 & mod2 for the full A licence if your 24+.
+Jack Heaton Only just seen your comment. If you're older than 24 you can take your CBT, theory then straight to A licence, made up of mod 1 and mod 2 parts. Hope that helps.
Thank you. When you say 250 are you talking about a 250cc street bike, sports or super moto? I would go for the bike you most like the look of overall. I started on a 125cc before I took my test and moved from that to this. I think I would have been happy on a 500cc such as a CBR500 or even a CB500 but not as happy as this bike. I think if you have done your big bike licence and start off on a 250 you will miss the power if you know what I mean.
+Sup3rSaiy3n Not questioning the quality of your knowledge, and you have an awesome channel but if have to formally disagree. I believe choosing a bike based in the one you like the look of is a terrible piece of advice. Definitely do some research on the bike which offers the friendliest riding position, or the bike that is most forgiving for example. If you chose solely based on looks a lot of people would end up on Ducati's. Awesome channel and review though!
@@Sup3rSaiy3n cool thanks im just about to get one, yeah I'm well over 24 now but don't have any no claims which is annoying as didn't keep my 125s consecutive to get them so sure it al be fine thanks for the reply
I have 2 things, its not great for tall riders, because the windscreen sets low, and if its the standard colors, the fairings looks really dull and plain.
Yes obviously but Ive heard that you block the wind directly behind you and the exhaust can get on you so im just asking if you have ever had that problem? *****
+Thomas Alexiou I'm messing with ya haha. I've never heard of the blocking wind thing, interesting. No I've never had that problem. The exhaust still has a cat so the gases are minimal, would be interesting to see the results with a full system. I can also say that my boots have never had that problem when I've been on Fireblades and S1000RRs too.
Ok cool thanks bro, the reason i was asking was because i love your bike but i have to go to school so i dont want to smell like exhaust. Thanks!! (: *****
+Thomas Alexiou That's fine. No you won't smell. It's a petrol with a cat and emissions are quite low. Can you filter where you live because depending on traffic there would be more chance of you smelling of other vehicles on the road - especially on your gloves.
LOL Thank god your English and one of my clan :) I had a CBR 600 ULTIMA LIGHT 2000 model, silly me carb`s model:) and coming from a VFR 400RR I was not happy with the BUZZ through the handlebars and dull performance below 7000rpm. I know your post is over 3 yrs old(what are you riding now.sir) and do you think a CBR 750 should be out by now!!
Went into my local Honda centre this week. Something to do with new euro4 emisions and being too expensive to develope a new 600cc engine to conform to them.
Ooh interesting. Those damn Euro emissions have resulted in larger cats and uglier bottoms imo. Might be worth waiting for the new Fireblade? Unless you prefer the look of the 600.
Sup3rSaiy3n it's been in all the magazines. Quite a few bikes will be killed off because of it, and when the Euro 5 is out in 2020 the rules will be more strict.

VtecHondaGuy If you’re spending this kind of money I would test ride them both for an hour. That should help you decide.
@@Sup3rSaiy3n
Much thanks. I think this is a great idea and I'm going to take it and do just that... Thanks again.
Was it difficult or at the least quite strange, transitioning from a 125 to a 600cc bike?
+Ahmed Abdul It was, the first time I rode it back from the dealer. The only big bike I had ridden up to that point was a Honda Hornet 500cc. I had only ridden that bike four times - for the practical tests. After a couple of days though you get used to the increased power.
Great review, great bike. Thinking very seriously about one of these. How comfortable is it around town (weight on the forearms particularly)?
mrnobelnigel Cheers.
Better looking cowl headlights than 1000rr,Bmw 1000,gsxr.Nice video pal:)
what year is the bike? and Love you're review best review ever man.
Andrew Rubinstein 2014 and thanks.
Great idea with the stickers in the "boot". Aside from staying legible, the bike looks cleaner. Btw, nice, clean looking bike with simple, tasteful mods. Sounds awesome too..
+Avi Mistry Thank you for your kind words.
No worries. Stay safe out there. Cheers!
Beautiful bike! i have the same key chain for my 250r repsol. Im on the same boat, i want to upgrade soon. I want this bike!
+Manny Santellan Thank you and I like your taste. I actually had the keychain for my 125r repsol before the 600.
I love my Repsol CBR....i can't ever see myself selling it. I've just ridden 14000km round Europe on it.
Have fun and Ride safe.
what kind of heated grips are those?
+maomaniarocks They're Honda's official heated grips, about £300 with fitting.
Ayyy I’m up in Norwich and looking at getting one of these beauties
Any need for re-mapping with the after market slip on?
great bike. massive leap in bikes from a cbr 125 to a cbr 600 rr but a good bike to get big bike experience on.
im sorry for asking this but can you actually get 56.5 mpg on that bike?? i've been thinking of getting one but everyone, (people who have one) keep telling that they can't go above 40 mpg...
That is one beautiful machine, well done in getting it.
Zooumberg Thank you.
***** You're welcome. I can't wait to get mine although as it's just a starter machine as I've not passed my test yet, I'll just get something cheap until I'm more experienced.
Yeah I had a 125 before this and rode a few thousand miles. It really helped my road craft and I would recommend building up experience before hand.
*****
The trouble with 125's is they're expensive for what you get. I was thinking of getting the 600 and doing some advanced lessons.
Hope it goes well for you.
do you smell after riding because of the rear tail exhaust? +Sup3rSaiy3n
Man im gonna say your bike is very clean, seems like you love you bike so much!!!
Thanks man. It's was my commuting bike all of last year. I try and take care of all of my possessions but I do love my bike. I don't baby her though. Use her every day. She's done almost 7K miles in the past 8 months.
Wow!!
Hello! Amazing bike with amazing exhaust!
One question about Licence Plate holder with led turn light.
Where i can find this Plate holder kit ? And brand name?
Андрей Шишмарев Hi. Thank you. Licence plate holder is by R & G.
Thank you, mate!
Your 125 what model was it
Year? It was a 2014 year
Cool I want get whan how das it handel
James Brown It was my first bike. Very light and reliable. Lovely seating position. Excellent bike.
Thanks I appreciate keep ap the good work
at the beginning it looks like you were missing somespokes
***** On both wheels?
Thanks
Well laid out and presented review. Good job! Beautiful and awesome bike man.
Frejborg Thank you.
This bike looks sooooooo awesome! I want one! But i've never ridden a motorcycle before... :(
I owned the 96 model CBR900RR. Was a great bike.
but was it your first bike?
John Hudson Probably not, if you want to ride a bike like Saiyan's 600RR then have a look at something like the Kawasaki Ninja 300 as your first bike, or even the CBR 125 depending on your height, hope that helps.
FuryRC i'm 5'9" with a 32"-34" inseam
John Hudson You should be fine with either, I can just flat foot a CBR 125 and I'm 5'7, inseam 30 inch so it looks like a normal/big sized bike when I'm on mine, I'd sit on one if I were you, my 6 foot friend at work made the bike look quite small! Haha, either way make sure your happy with the ergonomics before buying, hope that helps.
Lovely bike! Do you still have it?
how long did you take to ride on the 125 before getting bored and moving up to the 600?
I didn't get bored as such. I had planned to take my big test soon after the CBT but I wanted to get some road craft. If we're talking specifics then I bought the 125 in November 2013 then passed my test and bought the 600 the same day in May 2014. I rode 3,000 miles on the 125. Hope that helps.
Did you install the r&g frames sliders yourself if so ill like to see how you do the installation
No I had them pre-installed before I purchased the bike. They are the ones that connect to the engine too so take a bit of time.
Sup3rSaiy3n i see i couldn't install mine the bar that holds the abs control needs a bolt there to hold it in its place.
hi... great upgrades... can you please list them down??
+Nawaaz IcemAn Hi. I've got one better, allow me to show you...th-cam.com/video/ZqW5zQH7O6U/w-d-xo.html
Soooo you still got the bike?
No riding :( also, MPG value is assumed it is ridden in a 'good' manner on high gears
did you sell this bike back to CJ Ball?
Alec Wilson no worries Alec. Thanks for your question. How much are they quoting you and which area do you live (do not write your address).
Sup3rSaiy3n well they won't insure me so I may have to start with MCE first quote was £480 2 weeks later it was £850 which still seems OK ish but again not sure what you got. I live up in Scotland place called Elgin. Nice and quiet.
What year is she
im thinking about purchasing a honda cbr 600rr 599cc as a begginers bike u think its a good bike for a begginer??
+Leo Rosado I went from a 125 to this and was fine but it's not really a beginner's bike. I would say a CBR500 is a beginner's bike. The 600RR has double the power of a 500 so you probably might not be used to it. It all depends what you are comfortable with. I would book a test ride to see if it is comfortable for you. Not all bikes ride the same.
What is the NOS for?
I wish people put year of bike in description.
2014 model
what year?
Dude, this bike can be used for long travels?. The cbr 600rr it´s a comfortable bike compared to the cbr 125?
+Daniel Vásquez Yes it's a comfortable bike for someone who doesn't get wrist or back pain when riding. You will also get to your destination quicker and safer.
How did you make the jump from a 125 to a 600? I though you had to get your A2 license - for a 125. A1 - for a 395 and A to ride anything
+Sup3rSaiy3n
+Jack Heaton If your older than 24 you can go straight to an A licence to ride any CC. CBT lets you get the 125, then Theory and mod1 & mod2 for the full A licence if your 24+.
+Jack Heaton Only just seen your comment. If you're older than 24 you can take your CBT, theory then straight to A licence, made up of mod 1 and mod 2 parts. Hope that helps.
Nice bike and is a 600rr good for a first time bike or a 250
Oh sorry I mean a cbr250 sports bike
Jann If it's your first ever bike then a cbr250 would be a great choice although I would recommend getting a cbr300 if you can stretch the money.
Thanks :) ill think about it.
Would you mind saying how much your insurance was and if you had any no claims and possible age thanks
Insurance was about £30 I think, plenty of no claims and you need to be 24yrs old for the big bikes. I was older when I bought her but still.
@@Sup3rSaiy3n cool thanks im just about to get one, yeah I'm well over 24 now but don't have any no claims which is annoying as didn't keep my 125s consecutive to get them so sure it al be fine thanks for the reply
@@QuazzaBlenks no worries. It won’t be high because of the model year. Also no way near the top band of the Fireblades and S1000s
I have 2 things, its not great for tall riders, because the windscreen sets low, and if its the standard colors, the fairings looks really dull and plain.
Where did you get your fairings drop website?
They came with the bike
do you smell after riding because of the rear tail exhaust?
+Thomas Alexiou You do understand which direction motorbikes travel in right?
What would be a good height for this bike ?
Greets!
Between 5ft 9 - 6ft 2 maybe?
I"m 5foot7 without my boots on and I'm about to buy one.
But i dont think it would be that bad.
thanks for your respond
что за музыка?
Is it more comfortable then other 600s?
Jack Taylor I’ve never had other 600s so I can’t say but it was uncomfortable for the first 100 miles or so then got used to it for the next 16,000.
Sup3rSaiy3n cool. A really helpful review btw, thanks.
Whats with the crocs man?!!
lordsloan Apologies, never again haha!
What brand and model are those heated grips?
Daniel Sanchez Honda heated grips.
Thanks
you need "hello and welcome" in the intro
LOL Thank god your English and one of my clan :)
I had a CBR 600 ULTIMA LIGHT 2000 model, silly me carb`s model:) and coming from a VFR 400RR I was not happy with the BUZZ through the handlebars and dull performance below 7000rpm.
I know your post is over 3 yrs old(what are you riding now.sir) and do you think a CBR 750 should be out by now!!
I'm riding a BMW S1000R
im completely in love with this bike...some day ill buy it :D
great review. cant wait to get a 600rr
Great video. I'm looking at getting one too. I here they are going to stop making them .😔
Thank you. Where'd you hear that mate?
Went into my local Honda centre this week. Something to do with new euro4 emisions and being too expensive to develope a new 600cc engine to conform to them.
Ooh interesting. Those damn Euro emissions have resulted in larger cats and uglier bottoms imo. Might be worth waiting for the new Fireblade? Unless you prefer the look of the 600.
Sup3rSaiy3n it's been in all the magazines. Quite a few bikes will be killed off because of it, and when the Euro 5 is out in 2020 the rules will be more strict.
The picture quality & clarity is superb, great job, maybe try to speak up a little bit more.
Jimmy G Thank you, I appreciate your feedback.
A beautiful bike. Very throughout review man :)
I don't get how everyone seems to be able to afford these things tho! haha! I've wanted one for years
Congrats man! Hondas are f*ing beautiful!
I totally want one too!
I'll let you know when I'm selling mine then ;)
