I am a christian simply because of Who God is and not just because of what He can do.

Other than all this creation on earth and the universe, I have actually ,while conscious , witnessed the supernatural. I am a true believer. Nothing can ever change my mind!!!!!!I just need to keep trying not to sin,and ask Jesus for forgiveness when I do. And pray for those lost souls who don't believe .

If the God of other religions people belive in changes them, heals them, and gives them the same reasons on believing in their God as we do. How do we know as Christians that our God is doing that in our lives or Is it the same as the other religions just chance? Who is healing them, changing their lives? Making them a better person if their God does not exist

1 Peter 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

My pastor always told me god wanted me to have a family... My church shunned me when I got a girlfriend. They waited till we was broken up to punish me... Cause god can't do it himself... Guess god isn't omnipotent...

Sounds like your church was really toxic. God bless and I pray you find a better church

Could be your church was toxic as Bram said. I went to a Baptist church with my girlfriend because its where her parents went. I felt nothing but contempt from the pastor. At the time i felt very unwelcome and it left me with a negative opinion of the church and pastor. As a believer I now believe the pastor was displeased because he knew me and the girl were living in sin. I think he could have had a greater effect on my life and my path to Christ by mentoring me. Maybe your church was displeased because they were not pleased to see you sin. As one of my mentors once told me. Don't let other "Christians" stand in the way of your relationship with Christ. It is a personal relationship and their actions should have no bearing on your relationship with Christ. At the same time, they may mean well and be doing the best they can to help you be the best person you can. Don't loose faith based on a negative experience, but not all negative experiences are what they first appear to be.
