The sin of lust is slowly destroying me and I keep on trying to stop it but every week I fall into it at least once and it’s killing me.I’m really trying to stop I’ve been trying since beginning of 2023 and if anyone sees this please pray for me🙏🙏
I know how you feel. Lust has been a terrible enemy of mine as well. Everyday is a battle, but you must never lose faith. The main purpose of the enemy's attacks is to destroy your faith. This is a war and in a war many battles are fought. Keep your focus on God and pray often for the Lord's strength. DO NOT GIVE UP. The Lord is with you, and you can defeat this.
🙏🙏🙏 Our Father Who Art in Heaven. Please Help this fellow Christian fight off the demonic influences of this world that try to make this fellow Christian brother or sister fall into sin 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I’ve definitely had this thought dealing with porn addiction/lust. His mercies are new every morning but it’s hard to still feel like you even deserve them when you’re stuck in a cycle of temptation to weakness to guilt and shame. This video came at the exact right time, God never misses His mark 🙏🔥💪
Make sure to get rid of all sources of pornography that you have access to. We have to do our part in defeating that sin. Don’t be alone and stay busy. Listen to worship music all the time. Fill your mind with holy things, and develop a strong fear of the Lord above.
Can I just ask. Have you put this under the blood? I mean that sincerely. Why burden yourself with guilt over something your flesh overpowered you with? Get up, try again to kick the habit. You're fighting and you obviously hate the sin. Put yourself under the blood, the sacrifice was ENOUGH, you will never be enough, and your flesh will never be satiated with 'enough'. You're already free. Use that freedom to honor God! Accept your freedom and live it UNDER THE BLOOD. Realise that Christs redemptive act was enough and always will be! Ignore those who say you must work and make yourself holy! No, not you! Look at CHRIST. Put on Christ and use the power of the blood! Plead it over yourself and your sin, walk away from this sin knowing there is no condemnation toward you. You're free brother and Christ gave you that freedom. What is pyrography but the filling of a silly lust that returns in hours anyway!? Put this off! This isn't who you are! Keep a date calender of days and each day write a reminder about why you're quitting. Not because YOU want to be holy, but because by accepting Christs gift, his holiness will save you and has saved you. If you keep down this path dangerous things will happen and God will chastise you! Be careful. Don't lose all your rewards. As for.your salvation, if you've trusted ths blood of Christ, truly, don't sweat it. He is mighty to save! I 100% know you are free. Use that freedom to honour Christ brother. You can also download angel eyes, which shares your screen at random with someone you love. That's accountability helps.
@@arpitjoseph9168 Hating the sin is the proof of the holy spirit convicting you. Without that you're just blowing smoke! You'll be okay, walk in your freedom and let the hate bury itself. The Lord doesn't want us to constantly beat ourselves up, but being broken by sin is the first step towards true sanctification because brokenness IS the right response to sin.
@@ForHeShallSave I've heard this kind of response before. I would encourage everyone to listen to exactly what John Piper says. The "don't sweat it approach" is DANGEROUS.

@@user12383 I've been reading or listening to the Bible being read almost everyday, I try not to miss a day but I have. And I pray multiple times a day , the Lord's Prayer ... I am hoping I get more mature in my prayers as I go. But I listen to Paul Washer, Voddie Baucham, John MacArthur and others who have helped me understand parts of the Bible that I don't understand.. I'm currently looking for a church where the Gospel doctrines are practiced and a church that also practices church discipline, the Lord's Supper , and one that does not compromise with world culture .
@@TriciaRP Well that's a start. We are to recognize the fact that we are sinners and we have broken every one of God's laws we are not worthy of anything but his wrath and judgment. That is the first step no matter where you are in your life even if you have walked away as I also did early in my life. But the good news is that God's grace and mercy has been delivered to us through Jesus. Believe in him get to know Jesus. Because the question will be does Jesus know you? And the way he knows us is for us to obey him and to hate what God hates and love what God loves. Believe in the Resurrection that he rose in 3 days and that he is who he says he is. Repent daily, you don't just repent one time and that's it it's not a flu shot Lol. For we all fall short there's not one on earth who is righteous not one. Only Jesus was perfect. God knows that we could not possibly fulfill his law. He is strongest in our weakness. We go to him we pray to him we say the Lord's Prayer and in everything we do is to glorify God everything that he has done has been in order for us to glorify him even in our jobs and our day-to-day life and everything that we do. You will come to hate sin as he hates sin. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life.
This is something I needed to hear. I'm struggling with porn, lust addiction. I'm scared that when I die God will tell me that he never knew me. That is my greatest fear...
God wants you. Not because you deserve it but he's just that good. Keep a repentant heart, let him know your sin, confess at the foot of the cross and ask him to do his good work in your heart. Your strength alone will fail, trust and ask of the lord, especially at your lowest.
I almost got addicted to porn but God delivered me from it. One must pray to God for deliverance, but you must also be willing to quit the habit. This means you make a deliberate effort to avoid watching porn, reading erotic literature, entertaining sexual fantasies, etc. Replace such things with the word of God, prayer, spiritual songs and even other non-erotic things. Always resist the urge to open a porn site. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.(James 4:7)
I never understood the armor of Christ until i after being stuck in a pornaddiction for years and i repented and asked Jesus to save me, and started reading the bible every day. it is truly an amazing armor. the more i read the bible, the more i want to read the bible and less and less i get cought in temptation. God really gave me a new heart that loves rightousness and hates sin. Jesus saved me! i Love him and i want to keep his commandments, i was without hope, but now im saved!

I have one sin that I’ve struggled with for 20+ years and that is lust. I feel so disgusted and ashamed afterwards. It makes me question my salvation every time. Please pray for me.
You are in a battle for your soul and it has to be won in your mind. Ask God to help you stay focused on right thoughts. But don't get distracted. You need to keep your mind on living in a way that pleases God in every way, from your thoughts to your actions. You must be willing to see what it feels like to say "No" to sin when you are being tempted and see how the temptation goes away (James 1:12-15). God will be with you in all those moments if your focus is on loving and pleasing God above all and you trust that He will deliver you. God will lead you to overcome sin/addictions and any challenges according to your faith / your willingness to obey Him (do his will). Hebrews 5:9 And having been made perfect, He [Jesus] became the author of eternal *salvation to all those who obey Him* James 1:21-22 21 Therefore, putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness [that's repentance], receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. 22 But be doers of the word [that's faith/obedience], and not only hearers, deluding your own selves. James 4:7-8 7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. *Resist the devil and he will flee from you.* 8 Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Make sure that you approach God the way He expects you to, presenting to Him a heart that is ready to obey Him in all. That needs to be your attitude if you believe God and love Him. 1 John 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome. Psalm 119:11 I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. Peace to you!
Our Lord chose Apostles, instructed them. founded His Church, the Roman Catholic Church, on Peter as its head (Matt 16:18), and sent them to baptize and teach all nations to observe ALL that He has commanded (Matt 28:20), so that they may believe in Him through their words (John 17:20) and thus may have eternal life (John 3:16). Our Lord said, "Whoever listens to you, listens to Me. Whoever rejects you, rejects Me and rejects the One who sent Me (Luke 10:16; John 13:20; Matt 10:40)," and "He that believes shall be saved and he that believes not shall be condemned (Mark 16: 15-16)." Whoever rejects Me and does not accept My Words has something to judge him; the word that I spoke, it will condemn him on the last day (John 12:48). If anyone loves Me, he will keep My words (John 14:15,21,23), he that loves Me not, keeps not My words (John 14:24)."
Protestant churches reject Our Lord by rejecting teachings of His Church whom He heads and saves (Eph 5:23). People following protestant churches do not realize that they are following wolves in sheep's clothing and, thereby, walking on the broad way to perdition. They say, "Lord, Lord", with insincere hearts, but, at judgement, will hear "I never knew you, depart from Me, you evil doers (Matt 7:23)." Open your eyes, brothers and sisters, and understand the Truth; and save yourselves by returning to His Church where He awaits you with open arms! As we are now living through the tribulations in the end times, time is urgent! When you come to the Catholic Church and are baptized into a member, your sins will be completely forgiven. And you will be strengthened spiritually by receiving Sacraments through which Our Lord gives His merits and graces so that you may become worthy for His Kingdom in Heaven.

The objections you wrote are all false accusations by those who follow protestant churches to justify their existence. Our Lord wants the Unity (John 10:16). The division started by Luther was against God's will, but was caused by Satan's instigation. In John 10:16, Our Lord said the other sheep, I MUST bring to My Sheepfold. I also believe that Paul preached to the Gentiles as he became the Apostle to the Gentiles. I struggle with the question more of, ' How can I stop sinning? ' And truth be told, it never stops completely until the God comes and takes us unto Himself. We try to not sin. And as long as we have that, God knows we need Him even more. We gain more power to fight against sin by having more of God in us.
J Mill It is not about what you do, it’s about what Jesus has already done. He paid for your sins already, past present and future. Accept that and ask to be filled with the Holy Spirit. All churches preach false doctrine to keep you thinking you’ll always just be a sinner. When the Holy Spirit enters you, you are reborn. Such as tobacco and then lust for someone you shouldn't be lusting after, or pornography, bitterness, resentment, anger, unforgiveness, heartbreak, food addiction, alcohol, drugs, etc.. But I don't believe that multiple fasts are necessary for one specific bondage. I am a living testimony to being set free from 25 years of slavery to smoking cigarettes after I comitted myself to a 7 day fasting and prayer. The first day for me was the hardest. Full blown spiritual warfare from hell, but the next morning on day 2 when I woke it was over. Total peace. I continued my fast for the next 6 days because I comitted to it and I wanted to be sure it would stick. And it has, bless God. Laziness and idleness is my BIGGEST STRUGGLES atm. Before it was cursing and anger. I struggle with those to for MONTHS. I prayed and begged God daily to help me conquer these sins....... up until a month ago I found victory. Not total victory but it went from consistent sin to occasional or rarely ever sinning. I believe and hope I will find victory over laziness and idleness. I'm sure I will find my next 2 that I struggle with that will bother my heart everyday. But 2 is mangable. Anymore then 2 sins taken care of at a time is to overwhelming for me. I'm sure it's the same for you my Christian brother/sister. Tackle 2 at a time. You'll start knocking them out 2 by 2. Victories so far: Masterbating Pornography Alcoholism Smoking Fits of rage Cursing Impatience Idol worship Gossiping Spiritual adultery (against god) And more. Yall got this.
Laziness & idleness occurs when you are not fulfilling your calling. I was lazy & idle until God called me to counsel & disciple & intercede for those around me. But God will give you the desire & power & love to do what it is He called you to do. If you don’t know what that is, then seek Him until you know. Not just passively but CRYING out to Him in desperation to reveal your calling. Obey the voice of Jesus.

So true, as a 14 year old addicted to pornography I’ve been in a constant battle with both kinds of sins, thank you for this, I will 100 percent keep this in my heart.
If you tell a man that God is demanding no good works of him whatsoever, no religious observances or church ordinances, that God is not asking him to undertake any duties at all, but that God invites him to believe a glad message that his sins have already been dealt with at the Cross, and that God expects him to believe this good news and be exceedingly happy about it. If you tell an unsaved man such a story at this, he is astonished and overwhelmed-yet this is the Gospel! Our Apostle, Paul, reveals the following great doctrines; 1. The unrighteousness before God of all men. 2. The impossibility of justification by works before God- that is, of any man’s attaining a standing of righteousness before God by anything done by him. Do what a man may, he is a condemned sinner still. 3. The fact and the Scripturalness of righteousness on the free gift principle-that is, of Divine righteousness, separate from all man’s doings, conferred upon man as a free gift from God. 4. Propitiation-that satisfaction of God’s Holy Nature and law for man’s sins rendered by Christ’s blood. 5. Reconciliation-the removal by Christ’s death for man of that obstacle to righteousness which man’s sin had set up between God and man. 6. The plan of the actual conferring of the gift of righteousness upon all who believe, without any distinction. This change of a sinner’s standing before God, from one of condemnation to one of righteousness, is called Justification. Negatively, it is deliverance from guilt on account of Christ’s shed blood and deliverance out of the old creation by identification in death with Christ on the Cross. Positively, it is a new standing in the risen Christ before God. 7. Redemption-the buying back of the soul through the blood of Christ from sin; from the curse of the law-even death, involving exclusion from God under penalty; from the "power of death," which involves the hand of the enemy; and from all iniquity. 8. Forgiveness-the going forth of Divine tenderness in remitting the penalty for sin in view of the blood of Christ trusted in, and in complacency and fellowship to creatures who before were necessarily under Divine judgment. 9. Remission of sins-that is, the actual removing of transgressions or trespasses from the sinner, so that for all time and eternity his sins shall not again be upon him. 10. Identification-(see above, Justification). The great fact that those who are in Christ were united with Him at the Cross by God’s sovereign inscrutable act and were crucified with Christ and buried with Him, so that their history is now ended before God. And when Christ was raised up as the Firstborn of the new creation, they also were raised up with Him and their history began as new creatures in God’s sight in Christ, the Last Adam. Of course, in the experience of the Christian there comes a time when he is actually made partaker of this new life-that point of time when he is, as we say, saved, or converted, or born again, etc. Nevertheless, the life that is in every Christian came up out of the Tomb, and it is in Christ Jesus that a man is created anew. 11. Incorporation-This tremendous doctrine Paul alone mentions, and he makes it practically the foundation of all his exhortations to the saints with regard to their conduct and life. By "incorporation" we mean the fact that all those who are really saved and are new creatures in Christ Jesus become members of one organism (called "the Body of Christ"), which is more real than the very earth we tread upon-Christ Himself in Heaven being the Head of this Body and every real Christian a member of it. So that believers are thus members of Christ in Heaven and also members one of another here on earth. No wonder Paul is able to exhort the saints to love one another when they are members one of another! (Rom. 12; 1 Cor. 12; Eph. 4). 12. Inhabitation-The wonderful fact that the Body of Christ and each member of it individually is inhabited, indwelt, by the Holy Spirit Himself, and not only so, but that the Church is being "built together" as a great temple of God so that in the future God’s actual eternal dwelling place will be this wonderful, mysterious company built into a building called "a holy habitation of God in the Spirit." This mystery is a great and marvelous one-the fact that we are saved, are partakers now of the life of the Lord in glory, that the Holy Spirit indwells us. 13. Divine Exhibition-That is, that through the Church in the ages to come is to be made known that which God counts His "riches," even His Grace (Eph. 2:7,3:10). Paul in his wonderful revelation declares that God hath reconciled the world to Himself; that God was in Christ (at the Cross) reconciling the world unto Himself (2 Cor. 5:19). Men do not know this, but they conceive that something stands between them and God before God will accept or forgive them. 2 Corinthians 11:3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. 1 Corinthians 15:21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Ephesians 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; Colossians 2:12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. 13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; 14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; 1 Corinthians 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: 1 Timothy 3: And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. If you love me, you would obey my commandments goes a long way. This verse is so convicting in one’s life. Whenever I keeping sinning the same sin and I ask for forgiveness, this verse comes to my mind and convicts me so much. I regret what I’ve done. God makes it so simple for us, that if we truly say that we love him we would without a doubt obey him. This verse makes me bawl my eyes out cause I truly want to be better and not disappoint God. He did so much by dying on the cross for us, yet we easily abuse his grace and keep living in sin. We don’t deserve his mercy, honestly, sometimes I say to God whenever I repeat the same sin don’t forgive me, I don’t deserve it. You have been too good to me way too many times. It makes me upset and sad.
The part that troubles me is 'I want to be better and not disappointed God". You realise that's impossible right? You cant disappoint a father who knows the end from the beginning, you can, however, disappoint yourself. God doesn't think like we do and self condemnation is paralysis. No wonder so many people never move forward. Christs sacrifice IS enough! Stop beating yourself up and live the freedom that TRUE forgiveness brings. You're FREE. Would you be stealing that item w/Jesus as your ‘accomplice’? Would you be having sexual relations w/that person, if Jesus was also in bed w/you? Would you speak in the same manner, if Jesus was also a part of that conversation? Would you keep hanging w/those you sin with regularly, if Jesus was w/you? Shooting up, getting drunk, doing other drugs, & possibly then getting in your car w/Jesus as your passenger?’ Get in the habit of knowing that Jesus IS there w/you, *always.* In *every situation & conversation.* *B/C He **_IS._* Even when you’re alone, watching or doing whatever you are. He’s right next to you on that couch, or phone, or computer, etc. Would you be still doing what you are? Would you be bringing Jesus w/you to that place, conversation, or person, movie, etc.? Works for me! 😁 Be Blessed by His Love & Truth in your heart, everyone.💜
This worked for me for a while until I got all too familiar with it and didn't seem to care :(. What works for me now is to pray consistently to hate the sin, and then put the maximum effort in stopping it (while continuing with prayer). I've also observed that consistent Bible reading (at least 20mins a day) helps to keep your mind on God and develop hatred for the sin faster.
@@jkadofo No one is suggesting you ever stop talking to Jesus, &/or praying. Nor stop reading His Word. Bible studies & playing worship music works well too, in keeping our focus where it needs to be. I just assumed that went w/o saying. But I guess not for some. I never found myself getting ‘too familiar’ w/my Savior & not caring. Regardless of what I was doing, to keep Him close. None of us will ever be able to stop sinning here, as we are all fallen, imperfect beings. Jesus was the only sinless man to ever walk this earth. And we will be in a constant state of sanctification here, until we are made perfect in the twinkling of an eye, so we can enter into God’s great heaven. As hard as we may try, we cannot ‘erase it, or make it disappear’. That only happens when we will be in our new home. A perfect, sinless, Heaven. All the best.
I would encourage anyone struggling in repetitive sin to first come to terms with their IDENTITY IN CHRIST. Your sin nature was crucified on the cross with Christ. When you became a believer in the finished redemptive work on the cross, you were born to new life. Which is eternal life (Jesus). That new birth in you can never sin. The war against the flesh will continue until you are raptured or pass on. But your identity will never change, as a child of God. Born again, regenerated, sanctified in the spirit and one with Christ. Be encouraged, Christ did all the redemptive work necessary, now we must recognize our identity in Him, and not in our dead flesh.
@@omarbarre9540 that was so well said! I struggle with the word repentance. There are so many definitions to the word. It’s plaguing. I struggle with lust and porn. I also have accepted Christ into my heart and asked for him to save me. I called upon his name for salvation. When I do sin, I feel so bad.. but if I repeat the same sin I almost feel as though many are preaching you aren’t truly saved because you keep committing the same sin and struggle
@@paulc9739 Hey brother Paul! The word repentance has a long history of evolution, repentance was used to translate the middle English word Penitence. Penitence was used to translate the latin word Paenitere, and paenitere was used to translate the Greek word Metanoia. Which always meant "Change of mind". When you chose to "Believe" the Good news that Jesus Christ died for ALL of your sins, was buried and rose again for your eternal justification, you were born again and never to perish. The struggle is real for me as well, but at least let your faith grow in these challenges times by always declaring to yourself that Jesus died for all of your sins and that the moment you believed in Him and His finished work, you were adopted into the family of God! And feel free to check out some of my videos for encouragement!
@@omarbarre9540 thank you for your reply. That is so clear and precise. I truly appreciate you taking the time to reply. I hate how repentance is thrown around and almost tied in with working your way to heaven. It certainly has that connotation in my eyes. I think so many people struggle with this word as so many preachers openly talk about their differing views and bash the other. You start asking the question of who is right. I prayed for clarity and then I read your answer. Thank you! I will check out your videos!
I really needed to hear this because I keep suffering the same sin and I say i won’t do it again but then it happens a week later 😔 Lord forgive Me of my wrong doings and others that suffer that same sin over and over again 🙏
I think that it's in Corinthians. It says.. count your selves dead to sin.. dead people don't sin. Be cause you are alive to God.. his word says anybody in christ is a new character creature in christ. Its the flesh that sins which goes to the grave. Flesh and blood will not inherit the kingdom of heaven. But job says yet in my flesh I shall see god. A new flesh. Jesus wasn't recognized as such till he made him self known. But he said to Tom's here feel my hands and feet put your fingers in my side.. jesus had resurrected body the first fruits to be risen. So sinful body know enter heaven but your resurrection body will go to heaven. Unless we are rapture 1st. Which is probably any time now. May b by 2028....he ain't far away now as in days of Noah. Ain't we ripe for gods picking . He's almost at our door.. lift up your heads to the coming king. Your redemption draws near..look up..hope that's encouraging for some one....
You need to repent. Humble yourself before God and recognize how you had not 100% rejected evil, which is what led you to sin. That is part of everyone's story (Romans 3:23). But you can reject evil and be redeemed from bondage to sin (Romans 3:24). That is what repentance is about. God will hear your prayers, and forgive you, and heal you (1 Peter 3:10-12, 2 Chronicles 7:14, Isaiah 55:6-7, 2 Corinthians 7:10, James 1:21-22). Read these scriptures to understand God's plan for you and have no doubt about it. Please see the videos in the *_"Be Set Free From Sin"_* section on my channel for help. Your obedience to God out of love for God (John 14:15) is the key to your deliverance from any sin that you are bound in (Hebrews 5:9). Peace to you!

Sin gets removed from the heart when we confess and repent. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and Just to forgive us our sin and to CLEANSE us from all unrighteousness - (1 John 1:5-10). The Body of Sin gets destroyed (Rom. 6:6) when the Old Man is crucified through confession and repentance. Paul explained the effects of the reoccurrence of sin in the heart and spirit in (Rom. 7:14-24.). The sinful nature manifests itself through our daily walk with the Lord and we then become aware of the presence of that sin which we confess. Every time it manifests itself, we deal with a new layer of the same sin. This induces spiritual growth. The Blood of Christ is the most Powerful substance in the entire universe, because it is the only substance that can remove sin out of the heart of a person. The Remission of sin is a process by which the Blood of Christ - (Matt. 26:28) and the Waters of Water baptism (Acts 2:38 - baptizing in the Name of Jesus) removes the sin out of the heart as soon as the sin is confessed. Sin is built by layers in the heart as we have committed them and grew in them before salvation. These layers have to be peeled away as the layers of an onion is peeled, confession upon confession, upon confession. Every time you experience the same sin, you actually encounters the next layer of the same sin which is removed from your heart when you confess it and apply the Blood of the Lord. The Blood of Christ, along with the Waters of His Name washes the sin away via the River of Remission which flowed out from the side of the Lord when He was pierced in His side - out came blood and water ( John 19:34). Initial Salvation is the beginning of our journey unto Perfection and Holiness in Jesus Christ. Jesus will only get married to a Holy Bride, and this Holiness can only be achieved and established in our hearts through daily confession and repentance. The Bride hath made herself ready (Rev 19:7) for her Bridegroom by allowing the Body of Sin to be destroyed through daily confession and repentance. The Blood of Christ is the only substance that can convert a sinful heart into a Holy heart. Without Holiness no man shall see the Lord (Heb 12:14), and only the pure in heart will see Him (Matt5:8). The supernatural Works of Believing (John 14:12) is to believe that Jesus can convert us into His Holiness through His Blood. Jesus could not have done the greater Works by Himself whilst He walked on Earth, because to be able to do the Greater Works of Believing, a person needs the Blood of Christ which at that time still was in Jesus' veins. The greater works of Redemption could only be accomplished with His Holy Resurrected Blood. We are delivered from the sinful nature by the Blood of Christ upon confession and repentance daily. So, every time you re-commit the same sin and you confess and truly repent, then the Body of Sin is busy being destroyed. (Not sinning willfully). Take courage and keep confessing. Do not be foolish to think that if you sin deliberately that you will be pardoned or forgiven (Heb 6:4-6). There is a difference. When the sin come up without you premeditating and planning it, then it is the Holy Ghost revealing to your conscious mind that the sin still is active in your heart, and that you need to confess and repent. So, keep going. Hope to see you in the Bride! (Not all Christians, and neither is the Church going to be in the Bride - only those who had separated themselves and who sold everything (their fleshly nature) they had through confession and repentance.
My heart goes out to my brothers and sisters in Christ who are struggling with certain addictions. I mess up constantly but i have been delivered from certain behaviors which were just a way of life for me. I consider nothing short of a miracle and I never take it for granted and am just relieved. A big part of my deliverance was fasting and praying and immersing myself in the Word. Specifically I prayed against generational curses and got really deep in praying against specific sins. I know people have various theologies on this but I remember praying with my elders in the church and I kid you not something left me. I didn't even believe in demons before but when it left I felt like a brand new person. I could not believe something like that could make me feel so awful. Praying that all habitual sins will be broken off our lives in Jesus name.
We’re you already born again? Like, I know I have the Holy Spirit but I can feel something heavy around me all the time. I’ve been an addict for 30 years. 12/21/2020, Jesus saved me, but I am still struggling with my addiction. It’s a physical drug too. So I am struggling even not taking it
So how did it change? How does one know they’re delivered? Because I think sometimes that I have been delivered but I’m not believing it or grasping it. Unbelief is also a terrible sin.
There are a few sins ; that I can’t seem to find the way out of……. I need ur help HEAVENLY FATHER/ I pray for EVERYONE also that is struggling to overcome. We ourselves can do NOTHING without the HOLY GHOST; and you KNOW who are truely yours……. Please help ALL ur children to overcome these repeated sins. I pray this in the name of JESUS. AMEN.
My sin is bad/evil intrusive thoughts that pop into my head and as soon as I think them, I pray to Jesus! And in Jesus's name to rebuke those disturbing intrusive thoughts🙏
Being humble and recognizing your sins and trying to abstain from them. Repentance and guilt. That means so much to God. True humility. Just keep praying and trying
He who stops trying will never succeed it's those that never quit are the ones that one day they will succeed. Jesus Christ our Lord and savior will never fail us.
This is how I feel about cursing, vulgar comments, getting frustrated, and masturbation/lustful thoughts. I find myself repeatedly falling into these, it’s an ongoing battle. With the last one, I always feel undeserving of romantic love afterwards. This video really spoke to me.
@JMN128 please do not give up, for you were bought at a price and there’s still hope. “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. You were running a good race. Who cut in on you to keep you from obeying the truth?” Galatians 5:1, 7 NIV
@JMN128, Have you received the message of God who is calling all people to repent (Acts 17:30-31)? That is the way to be forgiven for sins we have committed up to that point of turning to God and turning the page from the way we had lived until then. That opens the door to receiving God's healing and the gift of *a new life* that we will live for God and no longer for sin/addictions and the passing things of the world (Romans 6:4-7, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Galatians 6:15). It all begins with repentance and faith in Jesus, which means obedience to his word out of love for Him (John 14:15). You need to have the word of God in your heart to live for Him and walk in his ways (that includes the willingness to forgive also). So, if you are willing to follow God's ways, you need to take guidance from the scriptures: James 1:21-22 21 Therefore, putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness [that's repentance], receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. 22 But be doers of the word [that's faith/obedience], and not only hearers, deluding your own selves. James 4:7-8 7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. This is always a good place to start drawing near to God: Psalm 119:11 I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. That will lead you to transformation by the power of God and freedom from sin. Peace to you!
Very helpful, and a concept that I've been struggling with for a while now. Also, advice for anyone else struggling with those premeditated sins - the ones that you know you shouldn't do but can't conceive of never stopping and can't bring yourself to feel truly sorry for it: tell Him! So many times I have literally prayed, "I'm sorry God, but I can't truthfully admit I want to stop doing this. Please help me to want to WANT to stop!" And after a good while of trying to consistently pray that, I've felt repulsion for that sin increasing. So if you're wrestling with even wanting to want to fight a certain sin, start there. Be honest; after all, an open and humble heart is something God can work with.
J Mill It is not about what you do, it’s about what Jesus has already done. He paid for your sins already, past present and future. Accept that and ask to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Sin can no longer separate you from God. Your battle now becomes not walking after your flesh but walking in His Spirit that lives in you. All churches preach false doctrine to keep you thinking you’ll always just be a sinner. When the Holy Spirit enters you, you are reborn. Please look up Aaron Budjen, he does an amazing job of explaining this and backing it up Biblically.
@@jmill7336 Romans 8 I believe mentions that by the spirit, we should put to death our sin. Yes, God has already done the redemptive work in us, but we also have a responsibility to actively kill sin in our lives, and this starts with admitting we have committed these sins to begin with🙏🏾
Your repentance is not real if you still continue to sin. There is only one truth from God and the rest is all lies that are being fabricated by the many who are lost and deceived. The vast majority of believers are so deceived in their beliefs that they foolishly believe that scripture is relating that they can never stop sinning. They clearly have no idea that God commanded us to live a holy and righteous life which can only be achieved by no longer sinning. Since we are all born in sin and in ignorance of God’s word and truth this is the reason why Jesus came into this world. Jesus came to forgive us of the sins that we have already committed and He came to teach us how to stop sinning through His Holy Spirit. Jesus did not come to forgive our past, present and future sins as many of the deceived desire to believe and there are no such scriptures that even back up that nonsense. This spoken untruth is having people believe that they can continue to sin and then simply repent and God will just forgive them over and over. This twisted reasoning would mean that you can steal and then repent, you can lie and then repent, you can murder and simply repent. You can keep committing whatever sin you desire and just repent afterwards and you will always be forgiven. Jesus came to call sinners to repentance which meant for them to no longer sin. So to try and justify why they still sin many deceived believers will twist the meaning of scriptures like 1 John 1:8-1O or Romans 3:10, 3:23 and 7. For some foolish reason these lost souls desire to believe that Paul and the apostles continued to sin and they will often twist the Romans 7 scripture to try and back up their lies. These deceived believers fail to realize that we have all been sinners at one time in our lives and Paul was simply relating how he was a sinner until he was freed by knowing Christ. They clearly overlook how Paul related that he had died to sin and he was no longer a slave to sin in Romans 6. Many also love to twist what the I John 1:8-10 is relating in order to justify their sins. They clearly have no idea that this scripture is simply relating that everyone is born a sinner since we are all born in sin and ignorance of truth. It is saying that this is why we need to repent and confess our sins to God so that He will then forgive us. It is also stating that anyone who believes that they have never sinned is then calling God a liar. But nowhere is this scripture ever relating that a believer will always sin as those who follow the devil and his lies desire to believe. The Romans 3:10 is simply relating that none of us are righteous since we are all born in sin and this is why we needed a savior to teach us how to stop sinning. Romans 3:23 is actually stating the same thing since we are all born in sin and we all fall short of the glory of God. Many believers who are lost and deceived try to justify their sin by claiming that the apostles were sinners themselves and they will often use the scripture where Peter denied Jesus as their justification. When they do this nonsense they are clearly revealing their complete ignorance of scripture and they prove how they are being guided by a demon spirit and not the Holy Spirit. So did the apostles all sin at some time in their lives? They most definitely did since everyone is born in sin and in ignorance of truth. Now did Peter sin when he denied Christ? He most certainly did but this occurred before Peter was sanctified in truth and this is where many believers go astray. Next, did Peter sin when Paul corrected him in Galatians 2? No he did not since Peter was following the Old Covenant laws that he was raised under and Paul was simply revealing how their old custom traditions should no longer apply under God’s New Covenant. Many believers are so lost and deceived that they are not comprehending what scripture is relating and they do not understand that the apostles were originally sinful disciples who allowed Jesus to sanctify their heart in God’s truth. This meant that the apostles were sinners who willingly followed the teachings of Jesus and they allowed Jesus to teach them how to overcome their sins. This is why God then used them as His messengers and He gave them His power to heal. Read John 17:6-19 where Jesus prayed for His disciples sanctification to prove what I relate. Another thing that the many deceived believers clearly overlook is how scripture relates that God does not listen to the prayers of sinners. God’s word never lies so this alone proves that the apostles could never have performed healing miracles if they were still sinners themselves. Jesus could work healing miracles because He was sinless and so God then answered His prayers. The apostles then reached the place where they overcame their sins as well and so this is why God then answered their healing prayers. “Now we know that God does not hear sinners; but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does His will, He hears him.” John 9:31 NKJV “We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him.” I John 5:18 NKJV Scripture relates that anyone who is born of God does not sin and because they can no longer sin this is why they can no longer get sick since sickness only comes from sin and the devil. So if you can still sin and you can still get sick then that certainly proves that you are not BORN AGAIN. This is why many believers who live in sin and sickness will try and justify their afflictions by twisting the meaning of various scripture like claiming that Paul’s thorn in the flesh was a sickness. Many lost and ignorant souls desire to believe that Paul was always sick or that Paul was someone who had bad eyesight so allow me to reveal just how deceived these believers truly are since I will explain what Paul was relating in the 2 Corinthians 12:7-10 scripture. First, what does a thorn in the flesh do? Well it causes pain and suffering. So just as Jesus suffered in the wilderness by being tempted by Satan, Jesus then allowed a messenger of Satan to tempt Paul in order to make him stronger in the Holy Spirit. “And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” II Corinthians 12:7-10 NKJV If Paul was able to remove the sickness from everyone who came to him then what could possibly make anyone believe that he was someone who had sickness in his own life? Couldn’t Paul just remove the sickness from himself as he did with those who came to him for healing? Plus if Paul was bitten by a venomous snake and yet it did him no harm how could anyone possibly believe that Paul was someone who could then get sick himself? “Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin. Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him. Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.” I John 3:4-9 NKJV So scripture clearly states that whoever sins does not know God and whoever sins is of the devil. Scripture also clearly relates that whoever abides in God and is born of God cannot sin and does not sin. So anyone who sins or anyone who believes that they can never stop sinning is simply a deceived believer who does not understand a thing in regards to God and scripture. They are completely deceived in their beliefs and they certainly are not being guided by the Holy Spirit nor are they living in the blessing that Jesus provided for all of mankind.
@@mikerutkowski7265 nowhere in the Bible does it say that once we are Christians we will never EVER get sick again. And nowhere in the Bible does it say that once we are saved we are no longer sinners. This is a COMPLETE contradiction of Gods word. Your basically claiming to be perfect if you say you are no longer a sinner. Which again is a contradiction of Gods word. All over the Bible we are told that we are not perfect only He is perfect which is why we need Him. Which is why we need His forgiveness daily. There’s a difference between LIVING in sin and slipping up. Sinning and repenting and purposefully sinning again is abusing Gods grace now that’s a sin, but if your saying that if we sin ever again we are not of God and things like that then I encourage you to pray and read Gods word more my friend. If someone claims to be a Christian but doesn’t practice righteousness doesn’t know God. We still sin but the difference is living in sin or not. And notice how in His word it says in 1 John 3:7 Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous.” The key word is PRACTICE it doesn’t mean your perfectly sinless. And we are also told that we will have trials and that being a Christian isn’t easy. Being sick just might be apart of that for some Christians. Like getting cancer for example. This can be a way that God can grow someone’s faith and dependence on Him.

I've failed again and again by my own will and strength. But when I make room for gods word and saturate my memory and unconcious mind with thoughts from word and surrender in prayer confessing of the power in His blood, death and resurrection, I find sin is distanced from me. When I'm conscious of the man on the middle cross, suffering on my behalf, sin looses it's power. Praise the Lord.
Your repentance is real but if your behavior continues it's simply means you haven't reached to the root of the problem yet. Keep going. There is always victory in Jesus

It can be real . . . if you keep on repenting. The temptation seems to never quit. Do the same. Never quit day by day making the effort to stop your sin. Eventually you may succeed . . . by the grace of God.
How good is the timing of this lesson. I have been stewing in "anger/hatred" against some people for a while. Then, I went through a "forgiveness" process that took about 2 years, thinking all is sorted until I saw them a week ago. I was taken aback by my feelings. My flesh wanted to headbutt them. I felt soooo guilty and ashamed in the moment, and even now, as I am writing this. I pray about it daily because I know that Jesus's priority is relationships. I am at my wits end with this particular sin in my life.
I will say, concerning yourself with it a ton gives it a lot of mental energy so it will stay in your mind. Don’t freak out if it happens, just repent and forget about. After all, god has when you repent
Fast, pray and read the WORD! A true biblical fast will break you out of bondage. I was delivered from 15 years of porn addiction, and cannabis addiction that was ruining my life. I give all the glory to God
Sexual temptation has been particularly difficult for me because it has been persistant throughout my adult life(as it is for most men )and because sexual desire is hard wired into us the associated guilt and fear of consequences has been the constant bane of my life for the past 45 yrs.
Please see the videos in my playlist called _"Be Set Free From Sin"_ for help, especially _"Self-denial and Taking up One's Cross to Follow Jesus (Mark 8:34)."_ It will give you a strategy you can follow to overcome sin/be set free from addictions. See the description of that video also for the most help. Take some time to understand well the way you need to approach God. Your obedience to God is the key to your deliverance from any sin that you are bound in (Hebrews 5:9). Peace to you!
A lot of things are hard wired into us. The trick is to understand there’s a right way and a wrong way to do everything. Always strive toward doing it the right way. If you are convicted by your sins, that’s a good thing. It’s your conscience telling you to return to God’s will. Always fight the good fight.
❤🙏 "Jesus, thank you for loving me and for dying on the cross to save me from my sins and from hell, forgive me of all my sins, I believe in you, and now Jesus, I invite you and receive you in my heart as my personal Lord and Savior, Amen!" 🙏
You are a Child of God Almighty. John 1 v 1 -15 @ 12-14. He will never leave nor forsake you. Hebrews 13 v 5-7. Grow in His grace and knowledge day by day!!!
I struggle in my morning prayers everyday over this very issue. Being stuck here in an ever expanding sea of sin and it being shrugged off by everyone even in our closest circles (me as guilty as any) makes this topic a depressing conundrum. I love the way you broke this down into two separate possibilities and more importantly how to overcome this by taking sins power away. I will forever remember this and thank you for helping me take the next steps in taking away sins power. God bless you!
Do you now relate to abiding in Jesus and not sinning? 1 John 3:6 Whoever abides in Him [Jesus] *does not sin.* Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him. I mean no longer knowing right from wrong and choosing to do wrong (sin) deliberately. I am not talking about being perfect in the sense of being incapable of any mistake or shortcoming. But rebellion (lack of submission) to God's ways that would make you casually "give in" to sin, is that way of life fully behind you and you are staying vigilant so that remains the case?
I'm sick and tired of my sins, temptations, my failures, my errors, myself. I confess that I'm a sinner. I pray to be free of these things. I really need Christ's redeeming power, mercy and healing. I pray that He rips these things out of me. I can only turn to Him and trust that He's working on me and that He will see me through.
Sabbathman I can relate to you on how there’s always a constant struggle everyday, but that’s no reason to give up. “My comfort in my suffering is this: Your promise preserves my life.” Psalms 119:50 NIV
You are in a battle for your soul (we all are) and it has to be won in your mind. Ask God to help you stay focused on right thoughts. But don't get distracted. You need to keep your mind on living in a way that pleases God in every way, from your thoughts to your actions. If you realize that you are trapped and need to be delivered, knowing what you need to do goes together with prayers for your deliverance, because you must follow God's instructions to you in your situation. You must be willing to see what it feels like to say "No" to a desire of your flesh when you are being tempted, and see how the temptation goes away (James 1:12-15). God's grace will help you to do that (Titus 2:11-14) and He will be with you in all those moments if your focus is on loving and pleasing Him above all and you trust that He will deliver you. It is critical that what you regard as repentance is what God calls repentance in the Bible. You must sincerely regret having sinned against God, and come to the point of hearing and agreeing 100% with Jesus' message saying, "I do not condemn you, now go and don't sin anymore" (John 8:11). You only need to be on board with approaching God the way He expects you to, and that will be your path to receiving his forgiveness and healing, freedom from sin/addictions and the gift of *a new life* (John 8:34-36, Romans 6:4-7). That is salvation. James 1:21-22 21 Therefore, putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness [that's repentance], receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. 22 But be doers of the word [that's faith, which implies obedience], and not only hearers, deluding your own selves.
If you keep repeating sin DO NOT stop praying for mercy.God will bring you to a place were you see clearly and his conviction of you will produce DEEP repentance. God’s always near waiting for your heart.
I struggle with smoking cigarettes, and no matter how many times I try to quit I just can’t. I beg for God to help me and ask for forgiveness but the next day I get up and still smoke.
1 John 1 KJV 🩸 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 1 Corinthians 15 KJV ✝️🩸 1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: 1 John 5 KJV 13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
O wretched man that I am. Who shall deliver me from this body of death? I thank God that Jesus Christ through his blood is able to forgive us and cleanse us from all sin and unrighteousness.
Once Jesus cleanses you from all unrighteousness, you do not remain the "wretched man." If you do, then what does conversion mean? It implies a transformation happens. So, if you finish reading Romans 7, you will get to Romans 8:1-2, where the wretched man does not exist anymore. He got saved/delivered/set free from sin and he is not the same. He is no longer a slave of sin (John 8:34-36, Romans 6:14).
It ceases to amaze me that when something is troubling me I will hear a sermon that hits the nail on the head of exactly the thing that's burdening me and I know all Christians experience the same thing. It is truly amazing how any and everything that a Christian struggles with theres is always a multitude of Christians that know exactly how you feel because they are the same way. ♥️♥️🙏
Pick up your cross daily. I absolutely hated a man for 34 years who committed an act on someone in my family. I finally started to repent of my own sin immediately as it came to me - hatred thought, or my own lustful thoughts, etc. I believe if you repent specifically on a daily or immediate basis, I think you will find your relationship with God will grow. Fill your mind with God’s Word.
I used to worry that my repetition of sin would land me in a room in the basement of hell even if I repented. It’s on going how can I be saved if I am not accepting Christ into my heart in every moment to heal my sinful nature. It’s hard to deal with to be honest. What he said in the video is absolutely true. But I also remember the difference between Peter and Judas Judas fell to despair. He thought Christ could never forgive him for betraying him so he gave up looking for forgiveness. Peter denied Jesus 3 times, he fell to sin. But Peter did not give up he kept seeking Christ and Christ forgave him. In the same way we are never beyond the grace of God. Proverbs 24:16 “for a righteous man may fall seven times and rise again” never fall to despair God is faithful and can love you through all seasons of your life. God bless you. amen
Ask God for wisdom and understanding, and don't doubt that He will answer you. You must agree to submit to God and not be double-minded about that. Job 28:28 [...] Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, and to turn away from evil is understanding. Sin is evil. James 1:5-8 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. James 4:7-8 7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Acts 2:38 Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." You must repent like the Bible teaches repentance: Isaiah 55:6-7 6 Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near. 7 Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon. It's the first step to connecting with God (Acts 20:20-21). The result is a new life (Romans 6:4-7, Titus 3:3-7). By the grace of God, you can live that life in faithfulness to God. It does not have to be a pattern of falling and rising up again. So, "betraying Him" never has to be part of the picture. It is not the plan. It does not have to happen. The key is repentance that matches what the Bible teaches and a sincere commitment to follow God's ways from that point.
The best thing is to realize there's no such thing as sin, throw your bible in the trash bin and tell Jesus to take a hike, you'll begin to enjoy all the good things about life without any of the guilt and fear that dopey Christians have loaded themselves up with. Christianity is just a fairy tale.

He gave a long answer - but the good news is that when we feel sad about our sin it is the Holy Spirit in us which is a good thing. If you felt nothing and no remorse then His Spirit is not in you. It is still a struggle, but we do have victory
I have issues with Anger and Pride and recently did something really Ugly and I Instantly regretted it!! Please Pray for Me! I want SOO Much to be Holy and Pure and Righteous!

Please look up Aaron Budjen, he does an amazing job of explaining this and backing it up Biblically.

I believe that when we pray to the Lord in regards to our sins, we must openly confess our sin and include the lingering premeditation to sin. The Lord can see through our heart, he will see any hidden desire to sin again, so we must talk to him about it. We must confess wholly in order to ask for the right guidance.
@FROM THE PEN OF A READY WRITER If no-one does good how is this so? We are saved by God’s grace not by our own works. “If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him.” -Luke 11:13 If God is good why would He ignore people searching for salvation?
@FROM THE PEN OF A READY WRITER I am not here for a debate I just disagree with what you said and actually I want to know further about what you believe in this so I can pray over it and see if there is any truth in it. I would encourage you to do the same for me.
And surprisingly enough there is no such thing as a small sin. Not in Gods eyes. All sin is the same to him. We are the ones who say big or small sin. But God gives us forgiveness no matter what sin we need to repent of. We are the ones who need to take sin more seriously. Cause when we write off "lesser" sins they lead to much larger ones. Yet if we deal with the " lesser ones" we may soon find that our "bigger" sins will be less often a problem. Start at the root, then work to the fruit.
I was thinking about this for awhile like a month maybe. I fasted and prayed for a whole five days not doing alcohol, not seeing porn, not doing drugs, praying every morning and night. It was the best five days of my life. Then I went back to it. I feel ashamed to do it again because I believe God, the holy spirit, and Jesus did help me to accomplish what I did.

Make sure you approach God the way He expects you to with the right mindset. You must submit to God. That is essential: James 4:7-8 7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. That's what your attitude needs to be when you are going through the process of *repentance* and committing to be obedient to God for the rest of your life (that's the kind of "change of mind" God wants to see). You must sincerely regret having sinned against God, and come to the point of hearing and agreeing 100% with Jesus' message saying, "I do not condemn you, now go and don't sin anymore" (John 8:11). Your obedience as you choose to follow God's ways is key--that's how you show your faith to God (John 3:36, Luke 6:46, Hebrews 3:17-18). That opens the door to receiving his *forgiveness* for your past sins (2 Peter 1:9), *healing* (Luke 5:31-32), *freedom from sin/addictions* (John 8:34-36), and the gift of *a new life* that you will live for God and no longer for sin and the passing things of the world (Romans 6:4, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Galatians 6:15). That is the salvation you must make sure you have experienced: freedom from sin (John 8:36, Romans 8:1-2) versus bondage to sin (John 8:34, Romans 7:23). Approaching God in genuine repentance will lead to you receiving the Holy Spirit to lead you to "walk by the Spirit" (Acts 2:38, Galatians 5:16)--with a pure heart and self-control, which is a fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). Any habit that controls you reveals idolatry in your heart. You have to choose to be done with that and it will be part of your past. That's one thing that will come out of your commitment to be obedient to God for the rest of your life. Please see 1 Peter 4:1-3 and 1 Thessalonians 1:9. James 1:21-22 21 Therefore, putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness, receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to save your souls [that's repentance]. 22 But be doers of the word [that's faith, which implies obedience], and not only hearers, deluding your own selves. Hebrews 5:9 And having been made perfect, He [Jesus] became the author of 👉 *eternal salvation to all those who obey Him [...].* Please stay in the word and obey it (James 1:21-22). The word of God is fuel for your faith. To live as a follower of Jesus you must go out of your way to put the word of God in your heart and keep it there, rejecting all distractions. It's a fight and that's how you need to stand to not fall down. The truth will set you free from all sin (John 8:31-32, 36).
You can “repent” till the cows come home. It will not do any good. Until you truly understand true grace. It’s grace that saved you but it’s true grace that will keep you from sin.
Will define grace for me, then define true grace.....Tell me what's different? Your comment sounds like an offer with guilt tacked on. I don't think that is what Jesus said here. Grace is grace, sin is sin, grace covers our sin, if we repent. What am I missing here?
@@RM-ov8gk most don’t understand “hyper” grace. Jesus has given us “unlimited “ grace. Once you really understand being “born again” means then you can live in that “unlimited “ grace that God provides. Therefore there is no need for “repentance “. Jesus has already “paid” our “penitence”. True grace is freely given and you can live sin free...while you are still here on earth. But only when you are truly “born again”. That is when you realize what Gods true purpose is and you truly are living it. Your true identity. A Son of God. There is ZERO guilt if you are a true Son of God. “Sin” is a man made up word. The true meaning is a archery term...meaning missing the mark. That is the narrow path that Jesus talked about. If you go your own way....you miss the mark. But no guilt or shame involved...God is a God of unconditional Love and therefore you get many chances. It does not mean you can just do whatever you wish and God will ultimately take you back in (which some mistake hyper grace to be) although He will. It’s all about blessing and curse. Life and death. If you walk your own walk with out God...then that will only bring on the curse. Not Gods curse but ...your own curse. If you walk with Him...it’s all about life ...abundance of life and blessing.
Forgiveness of sins at God's mercy and sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross is God's response to genuine repentance. Confession is a statement of declaring one's guilt and shame, to seek a resolution.

@@jmill7336 Spirit of God transforms from within, love of God in the lives of the believer is a witness to the works of his spirit in the life of a believer. The church is a unified body that preaches the gospels, spread the word of God ad his message, also establishes the justification of one's faith in God through Jesus Christ his Son, and a savior. I disagree with your viewpoint on the church.
Even when you feel like you are struggling with thoughts and sin please ask God to take the desire to do those things away from you and ask Him to remove certain thoughts from your mind.
Thank you for my salvation Jesus! True repentance will lead us to sin less, but we will never be able to live a sinless life unless we hate the sin that so easily entangle us...
John Piper talks in this video about unpremeditated sins of short duration that we are all guilty of frequently. James is surely talking about this when he says in James 3:2: 'For we all stumble in many ways.' Any Christian who thinks that they don't often sin in these sorts of ways is badly deceived.

@@jmill7336 We won't be free of sin until we die or Jesus returns. The verse I quoted is very clear on that. It is true that we should be growing in moral purity through the power of the Spirit. But to think that we will reach a place of sinlessness before death is a huge mistake.
I think deep-down you know your heart and sincerity. I've met people who claim to be Christians, but use the term, "Hey, we're all sinners, but I'm just a forgiven sinner." That's dangerous. True, we all sin. But repeated sin that becomes ingrained in our lifestyle is dangerous. I think the question becomes, "Can we out-sin God's grace?" The real answer is "no". However, if we are asking that question, we need to question our initial salvation. As Paul pointed out, "What then, shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? God forbid." Repeated sin requires self examination. Sometimes I think that some Christians think they can fool God with repeated sin and a casual request for forgiveness. Scripture warns not to be deceived. God is not mocked. Whatever we sow, we reap. God knows the heart and will cleanse from unrighteousness, but from Him no secrets are hid.
What an amazing and nuanced answer to a question I've had often. I have to admit, sometimes it seems as if I'm searching for reassurance that I could commit premeditated sin (like a "sin vacation") and that would be okay as long as it was for a short time. But as soon as I realize that that's what I'm doing, that's when I also know that I need to confess, repent, and run to the Lord for strength to stay on the narrow path of righteousness. Unfortunately I falter often times, but when I do, I'm usually so overwhelmed with guilt that the sin loses any pleasure even in the moment. I think that that is the Holy Spirit convicting me and urging me to leave the squalor. Thankfully, it's made it easier going forward, knowing that even if I go down that path, I'll find no joy or fun there. No, the joy is when we're walking in peace with the Lord's will.
It is important that what you regard as repentance is what God calls repentance in the Bible. You must sincerely regret having sinned against God, and come to the point of hearing and agreeing 100% with Jesus' message saying, "I do not condemn you, now go and don't sin anymore" (John 8:11). Your obedience as you choose to follow God's ways is key. That is salvation.
You can repent of sin and fall back into the same sin. God still forgives. Jesus forgave all your sins past present and future. But nothing will work more in the life of a believer to kill your relationship with God than unrepentant sin.
You certainly are lost and you certainly are deceived.
WORLDLY REPENTANCE WORKS DEATH AND GOD DOES NOT FORGIVE ONE IN WORLDLY REPENTANCE .. MANY ARE WALKING AROUND TODAY THINKING THEY HAVE BEEN FORGIVEN AND GODS WORD SAYS THEY HAVE YET TO RECEIVE GODS FORGIVNESS DUE TO THEIR HEART .. AMEN
2 confessions: genuine, superficial. 2 sins: prepared, spontaneous. Always prepare to not do sin. If you’re going to chose, choose quickly (choose goodness). If you forget, can’t chose, or do it anyways, confess genuinely without intentions of repetition.
Please pray for me, fellow Christians. I love Jesus and He has strengthened my desire to pray, but I don’t. My flesh fights me when I pray. Thank you all so much, I love you guys!
You are in a battle for your soul (we all are) and it has to be won in your mind. Ask God to help you stay focused on right thoughts. But don't get distracted. You need to keep your mind on living in a way that pleases God in every way, from your thoughts to your actions. If you realize that you are trapped and need to be delivered, *knowing what you need to do goes together with prayers for your deliverance,* because you must follow God's instructions to you in your situation. Your obedience as you choose to follow God's ways opens the door to receiving his forgiveness for your past sins (Romans 3:25), healing (Luke 5:31-32), and the gift of *a new life* that you will live for God and no longer for sin/addictions and the passing things of the world (Romans 6:4-7, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Galatians 6:15). You just need to approach God the way He expects you to-with the right mindset.
I've never heard or thought of this definition of sin before, but it makes me so excited to finally see the day Jesus comes back and sin will be no more. It makes me so excited to see that one day, every thought, every gesture, every facial expression, every word, and every part of my being will be 100% bent only towards the good and holy God.
1 John 3:6 Whoever abides in Him [Jesus] does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him. Often people see that scripture and can't relate to it, so they turn to another subject and claim no one is perfect. This is not necessary. If anything, running from the truth will never help (John 8:31-32). Being imperfect does not mean living in rebellion against God's ways that can be described as the case of knowing right from wrong but choosing to do wrong/sin. 1 John 2:1 speaks about "If we sin..." not "when we sin..." That means growth is supposed to happen in a believer so that the "new creature" can truly say that the old is gone and the new has come in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17, Ephesians 4:17-24). When Jesus comes back his servants will be ushered into the a new world where there is no sin, but Jesus came already to save sinners from their sins (Matthew 1:21, John 8:34-36, Romans 6:4-7, Romans 8:1-2). Please ponder on those scriptures. You will get more light than through listening to what is popularly preached as truth. *Freedom from sin* is then what follows repentance as God expects it. Being set free from sin and going on obeying God (not disobeying Him/sinning) is what salvation in Jesus is about. That's not happening when the word of God is suppressed or twisted on the requirement of repentance for salvation. I invite you to examine that. Biblical repentance is not separated from an understanding that when someone has an encounter with Jesus, He will say, "Go, and don't sin anymore" (John 8:11). That indicates a path that God's grace will help any imperfect person who agrees with that word to stay on. What are your thoughts?
We had a little old lady who kept going to the front to receive Christ,,she once said that she always was in need of forgiveness,,,pray for our household bills are now twice what I make in a month,,,it would break my heart to see my grandson and wife being homeless, after all we have gone thru,,,
To say the Holy Spirit convicts believers of Sin is actually heresy! Unbelievers are the ones who are convicted of Sin because the Law has judged them and cursed them for them breaking the law, which cannot save anyone. The Spirit of Christ convicts believers of righteousness and truth, for Jesus is the truth and righteousness. The conviction is a reminder of who we are in Christ and that is Justified, sanctified, and Holy in Christ Jesus, not in us! You need to read the scriptures in context friend, you got it mixed up and you are interpreting scriptures to your own destruction and not letting scripture speak for itself!
He who the Son sets free is free indeed!! Some people don’t fight against their sin because they think they will go to heaven with it anyway! Ask God to change your HEART. Cleanse your mind by the word of God. Clean out your environment! He can set you free! You cannot do it in your own strength! Ask Jesus to deliver you, and then go to war with what YOU can do. He has delivered me from so many sins !!! I HAVE BEEN SET FREE. YOU CAN BE FREE, TOO.
When you’re on the path and you sin, it becomes a trigger that suddenly leads you to sin in other aspects of your life. I’m living that testimony today.. again. Please Lord forgive me..give me the strength . Fill me with your spirit to know my place. Please pray for me ❤️❤️❤️✝️✝️
I think there was a lot that was helpful in this answer. One thing that helped me was to realise the Bible doesn't always say to repent in respect of sin. I believe that is because as John Piper explains there are really two kinds of sin: - doing wrong in the context of having set our lives to do right. - doing wrong as a result of negligence (John Piper called it fatalism) or premeditated intent to do wrong. In the first case we confess our sins. In the latter case we must repent - change our life direction.
Remember that Job feared God and eschewed evil (hated evil). Part of spiritual growth in Christ is about hating evil. Lust, too, was one of my issues for a while, but then I realized that it's unacceptable to be in lust with and continue in evil habits and I was then, for the first time, empowered to banish it from my life. Pornography is a big one for many people, but how can one be of God and be fine supporting and encouraging the abuse, the trafficking, and the degrading of people that the porn industry supports.
Simply put...NO! You must TURN AWAY from it. It's very hard to do when it's an ingrained habit or you are turning to sin as a coping mechanism. But you CAN TURN AWAY! Ask God for strength and pray before considering sin. You CAN DO IT! Ask for Holy Spirits help/God/ Christ's help and soon you will be above it. God will answer your prayers.
I did 5 Altar calls in a month cause i kept thinking i was losing salvation till a church leader told me you never lose salvation and you dont need to keep accepting Christ every weekend when we have altar calls. Just ask God to help you overcome the sin, but some people will never overcome certain sins till God calls them home and the leave this fallen fleshly life.
Please pray for me. I can't go on. I try and try but nothing works. I've been living in torture and agony for 7 years. I have a narcissistic husband and no matter how much a pray and repent I can't stop getting angry and defending myself when he attacks me. He makes me ill so I can't function properly. It has gotten better and God has given me strength to "get around him" at times but the MOMENT I have a weakness he attacks. I am failing and it never ends. I just want to do God's calling for me but I'm in so much pain, both physically and emotionally! Please cry out to Jesus for me! And for my daughter! Somebody! I know it will work!🙏 Hallelujah 🙏
Praying for you and your daughter. It is a difficult situation! I will cry out to Jesus. I pray He gives you clarity and peace of mind. You are not alone. Many women deal with abusive situations. You have sisters in Christ who care about you and your daughter. Psalm 10:14 NIV But you, God see the trouble of the afflicted; You consider their grief and take it in your hand. You are the helper of the fatherless.
@@alexlg9521 Praise God! He is the God of Healing. I’ll be praying that your husband will be willing to surrender and listen. And for you as well! There may be difficulties, and maybe difficult decisions or choices, but The Lord is your comfort and sustainer. He sees and knows what is going on and takes your grief into his hands. He restores your joy. He is ALWAYS with you! I’ll keep praying!
Leave your husband! You don't have to remarry, but leave him until he either grows up or treats you better. Yes you can't remarry, but still, it's better than being abused.
I just want to say thank you I needed that and I sent it on to my daughter and my ex-wife and my son that was very important thank you thank you for people like you telling the truth

Fight it every day. We do not need porn in our lives.

Our sin starts to fall away as we get stronger in Christ... We walk in the spirit. Prayer and reading the Word are essential.

How often do find that you read the bible and or pray?
Thank you Connor.
All strength lies in God. Never in man.
There is redemption!
You are in a battle for your soul and it has to be won in your mind. Ask God to help you stay focused on right thoughts. But don't get distracted. You need to keep your mind on living in a way that pleases God in every way, from your thoughts to your actions.

And Our Lord promised to be with them always until the end of ages (Matt 28:20); and He sent the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth. For anybody who is in bondage to a particular sin or habit or addiction, FAST AND PRAY to break the chains and get free. It works. If you are serious about living a clean, holy, obedient life to the Lord and you try and try, but keep failing, FAST AND PRAY 🙏. It works. There are probably hundreds of testimonies on youtube from Christians ✝️ for getting free from different kinds of sins and bondages. If we only do what we can do, God will do the rest.
Pray for me, i am addicted in lustful things like masturbation and porn
Do you think multiple fasts are necessary for certain bondages ?
@@govindrajgudle2625 It is good that you confess your sins, and that you sincerely want to be free. I just finished praying for you, I am happy to pray for you. But you have to understand that you really must do the work on your own. Fast and pray that you be freed from all that you are a slave to and live a clean and holy life before the Lord. There are testimonies of Christians who have been set free from the bondage of all that you mentioned and even more. You can find them here on youtube. Hearing their testimonies will encourage you. It really works, but you have got to do what only you can do, and so God will do then what only he can do. God bless you ✝️
@@manasseh7 I suppose it's possible that multiple fasts are necessary for multiple bondages. I also was set free from the heartbreak of a breakup after 5.5 years, it's been many years ago now. I thought I would never get over that man, but I committed to fasting and prayer for as long as it would take until God healed my broken heart. I was serious about getting over him and moving on with my life. To my shock, it wasn't even a week I don't think, and the Lord healed me and I was a free woman. I felt nothing for him. It was really bizarre, in such a good way. You see, it really does work. These are just a few examples. There are similar testimonies are out there to countless others are as well for many different kinds of things. I hope my long answer helped some 🙂 God bless you ✝️
It is not about what you do, it’s about what Jesus has already done. He paid for your sins already, past present and future. Accept that and ask to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Sin can no longer separate you from. God
Victories so far:
Masterbating
Pornography
Alcoholism
Smoking
Fits of rage
Cursing
Impatience
Idol worship
Gossiping
Spiritual adultery (against god)
And more.
Yall got this.
God bless you
Half of these arnt even sins or harmful.
What's wrong with cursing for example? Or masturbation?
You are female...you don't need sex as much as a male. P.S. Also you are still a child. I'm 50 years old. So I know how men suffer needlessly.
We will NEVER measure up we will NEVER obey perfectly and to get eternal salvation all you have to do is accept Jesus as your savior

How do you know that God knows that you need it?
Our Apostle, Paul, reveals the following great doctrines;
(Rom. 12; 1 Cor. 12; Eph. 4).
12. Inhabitation-The wonderful fact that the Body of Christ and each member of it individually is inhabited, indwelt, by the Holy Spirit Himself, and not only so, but that the Church is being "built together" as a great temple of God so that in the future God’s actual eternal dwelling place will be this wonderful, mysterious company built into a building called "a holy habitation of God in the Spirit."
This mystery is a great and marvelous one-the fact that we are saved, are partakers now of the life of the Lord in glory, that the Holy Spirit indwells us.
Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Ephesians 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
Colossians 2:12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. 13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; 14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
1 Corinthians 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
1 Timothy 3: And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

You took the words right out of my mouth.
Been struggling with this for over a year now
The part that troubles me is 'I want to be better and not disappointed God".
I know this is hard to understand but it takes an infinitely higher amount of faith to believe that the blood actually prevents you from going to Hell! That's the whole POINT.
Yes you can lose rewards.
You will be chastised in the flesh, and live a useless life to God.
You can lose money, renown and favour.
These are very real and incredibly overlooked judgements that saved People can recieve and the worst is the loss of the surity of salvation!
Do NOT be decieves by vain, pride filled people (who really do think they're better than you) you can NOT lose your salvation. But you can go into the kingdom with no inheritance.
Stop worrying and start helping others!!! You have a foundation to build on here!
@@gregghome3339 Then stop struggling and give it to the CROSS!

Lord I don't condemn, not even myself because you did not condemn me, but you knew this, you saw this in my life, I do not surprise you, Lord THANK YOU for giving me this time to give thanks for the blood of Christ which is mighty to save!

I heard someone a long time ago say something to the effect of, ‘When you’re about to sin, just imagine Jesus in the room, or right there w/you, *in person.* B/C He actually IS, but through His Holy Spirit. 🕊
If you can picture Him as being physically present, that should be a very good deterrent.
Shooting up, getting drunk, doing other drugs, & possibly then getting in your car w/Jesus as your passenger?’
Get in the habit of knowing that Jesus IS there w/you, *always.* In *every situation & conversation.*
*B/C He **_IS._*
Even when you’re alone, watching or doing whatever you are. He’s right next to you on that couch, or phone, or computer, etc.
Would you be still doing what you are? Would you be bringing Jesus w/you to that place, conversation, or person, movie, etc.?
Works for me! 😁
Be Blessed by His Love & Truth in your heart, everyone.💜
I think that is a really helpful way to look at things.

There is a term for this, its called CORAM DEO.

@@omarbarre9540 thank you for your reply. That is so clear and precise. I truly appreciate you taking the time to reply.

So, if you are willing to follow God's ways, you need to take guidance from the scriptures:
James 1:21-22
21 Therefore, putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness [that's repentance], receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. 22 But be doers of the word [that's faith/obedience], and not only hearers, deluding your own selves.
James 4:7-8
7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
This is always a good place to start drawing near to God:
Psalm 119:11
I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.

Please help me to want to WANT to stop!"
And after a good while of trying to consistently pray that, I've felt repulsion for that sin increasing. So if you're wrestling with even wanting to want to fight a certain sin, start there. Be honest; after all, an open and humble heart is something God can work with.

It is not about what you do, it’s about what Jesus has already done. He paid for your sins already, past present and future. Accept that and ask to be filled with the Holy Spirit.
Yes, God has already done the redemptive work in us, but we also have a responsibility to actively kill sin in our lives, and this starts with admitting we have committed these sins to begin with🙏🏾
Great points Courtney.
“Now we know that God does not hear sinners; but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does His will, He hears him.”
John 9:31 NKJV
“We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him.”
I John 5:18 NKJV
Scripture relates that anyone who is born of God does not sin and because they can no longer sin this is why they can no longer get sick since sickness only comes from sin and the devil.
For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
II Corinthians 12:7-10 NKJV
If Paul was able to remove the sickness from everyone who came to him then what could possibly make anyone believe that he was someone who had sickness in his own life?
Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.”
I John 3:4-9 NKJV
So scripture clearly states that whoever sins does not know God and whoever sins is of the devil.

6 years after being saved Desiring God is still blessing me!

1 John 3:6
Whoever abides in Him [Jesus] *does not sin.* Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him.
“My comfort in my suffering is this: Your promise preserves my life.”
Psalms 119:50 NIV
James 1:21-22
21 Therefore, putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness [that's repentance], receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. 22 But be doers of the word [that's faith, which implies obedience], and not only hearers, deluding your own selves.
James 4:7-8
7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
This is always a good place to start drawing near to God:

Do you belive that we are saved by the grace`?

1 John 1 KJV 🩸
7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
1 Corinthians 15 KJV ✝️🩸
1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
1 John 5 KJV
13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
O wretched man that I am. Who shall deliver me from this body of death? I thank God that Jesus Christ through his blood is able to forgive us and cleanse us from all sin and unrighteousness.
Amen. ALL sin this is why believers will not give an account of any sin, for the Blood has cleansed us from ALL sin.

Job 28:28
[...] Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, and to turn away from evil is understanding.
Sin is evil.
James 1:5-8
5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
James 4:7-8
7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
Acts 2:38
Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."
You must repent like the Bible teaches repentance:
Isaiah 55:6-7
6 Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near.
Am not sure how I ended up here but this is so good and value adding to my soul and God has has a plan for me
Sin gets removed from the heart when we confess and repent.
He gave a long answer - but the good news is that when we feel sad about our sin it is the Holy Spirit in us which is a good thing. If you felt nothing and no remorse then His Spirit is not in you. It is still a struggle, but we do have victory
Thank God I’m saved by the life of Christ, and not from my own life. My hope is in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. AMEN&AMEN

The Lord can see through our heart, he will see any hidden desire to sin again, so we must talk to him about it. We must confess wholly in order to ask for the right guidance.

It really feels like no matter how hard I try, I still feel so very doomed.... It's like nothing is ever enough....
Make sure you approach God the way He expects you to with the right mindset.
You must submit to God. That is essential:
James 4:7-8
7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
James 1:21-22
21 Therefore, putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness, receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to save your souls [that's repentance]. 22 But be doers of the word [that's faith, which implies obedience], and not only hearers, deluding your own selves.
Hebrews 5:9
And having been made perfect, He [Jesus] became the author of 👉 *eternal salvation to all those who obey Him [...].*
Please stay in the word and obey it (James 1:21-22).
I took, “if your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out,” as, “if the internet causes you to look at porn, throw away your devices”
Wise
Forgiveness of sins at God's mercy and sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross is God's response to genuine repentance.
Confession is a statement of declaring one's guilt and shame, to seek a resolution.

@@jmill7336 We won't be free of sin until we die or Jesus returns. The verse I quoted is very clear on that.

@@maxaplin4204 Don’t we die because of sin ?
@@jason5346 Yes, we do die because of sin, but that is a different issue.
😭😭😭 God, i can see your calling. Why do you love me so much when i didnt make you my first choice.
That opens the door to receiving his *forgiveness* for your past sins (Romans 3:25), *healing* (Luke 5:31-32), freedom from sin/addictions, and the gift of *a new life* that you will live for God and no longer for sin and the passing things of the world (Romans 6:4, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Galatians 6:15). That is salvation.
You can repent of sin and fall back into the same sin. God still forgives. Jesus forgave all your sins past present and future. But nothing will work more in the life of a believer to kill your relationship with God than unrepentant sin.
You certainly are lost and you certainly are deceived.
For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
II Corinthians 12:7-10 NKJV
If Paul was able to remove the sickness from everyone who came to him then what could possibly make anyone believe that he was someone who had sickness in his own life?
Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.”
I John 3:4-9 NKJV
So scripture clearly states that whoever sins does not know God and whoever sins is of the devil.

That will lead you to transformation by the power of God and freedom from sin.
Peace to you!
@@yestothetruth Thank you, I love and need this. I’ve learned a lot from the Word, but my prayer life has gotten extremely weak lately.
Ask God for strength and He will provide it. Keep up the good fight. God bless you!
I’m free now in Jesus’s mighty name 🙏
When you read Titus 3:3-7, do you relate?
I've never heard or thought of this definition of sin before, but it makes me so excited to finally see the day Jesus comes back and sin will be no more. It makes me so excited to see that one day, every thought, every gesture, every facial expression, every word, and every part of my being will be 100% bent only towards the good and holy God.
1 John 3:6
Whoever abides in Him [Jesus] does not sin.
We had a little old lady who kept going to the front to receive Christ,,she once said that she always was in need of forgiveness,,,pray for our household bills are now twice what I make in a month,,,it would break my heart to see my grandson and wife being homeless, after all we have gone thru,,,
This popped up on my timeline when I was asking the very question for me.
If we have conviction over a continuous sin then that's the Holy Spirit dealing with us to eradicate and keep praying to get rid of it.
He's broken over his sin. Keep repenting. Being broken over your sin is a solid point to prove you're saved
Thank you JESUS glory be to GOD.
When you’re on the path and you sin, it becomes a trigger that suddenly leads you to sin in other aspects of your life.
I’m living that testimony today.. again.
Please Lord forgive me..give me the strength . Fill me with your spirit to know my place.
Please pray for me ❤️❤️❤️✝️✝️
I'm right there with you, brother in Christ.
@@beckles1988 Amen Becca. God bless you ✝️✝️✝️❤️✝️🙏🏽
Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
I think there was a lot that was helpful in this answer. One thing that helped me was to realise the Bible doesn't always say to repent in respect of sin. I believe that is because as John Piper explains there are really two kinds of sin:
- doing wrong in the context of having set our lives to do right.
- doing wrong as a result of negligence (John Piper called it fatalism) or premeditated intent to do wrong.
In the first case we confess our sins. In the latter case we must repent - change our life direction.

It is not about what you do, it’s about what Jesus has already done. He paid for your sins already, past present and future. Accept that and ask to be filled with the Holy Spirit.
So you are sinless?
God loves me. I refuse to live in condemnation. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Amen!
Do you mean they won't go to heaven?
Psalm 10:14 NIV
But you, God see the trouble of the afflicted;
You consider their grief and take it in your hand.
You are the helper of the fatherless.
@@audreyyoungblood9965 Hallelujah 🙏! I've seen a breakthrough in my husband yesterday! I KNOW God wants to heal him! Amen 😪
@AlexLG I agree with Retro Guy. I missed the part that your husband is attacking you.
You and your daughter need to be physically safe first!!!!
I just want to say thank you I needed that and I sent it on to my daughter and my ex-wife and my son that was very important thank you thank you for people like you telling the truth
This is Steve again know God doesn't never miss his mark Look what Jesus went through for us you can make it don't give up whoever you are I'm going to pray for you right now and pray for me I need it I ain't nothing Jesus has everything
Thank you so much. This gave me a new insight for my lifestyle as a Christian
