    This 3rd generation Fly feels cheap no wrist support non. Phenom sg-210 feel way better nice snug fit good wrist support. I say go for phenom.

      @BOXUPNATION  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I have a first gen pair and compared them to the 3rd gen and they feel almost identical. The wrist support is lacking in Fly due to that soft style padding used all throughout. I think they could benefit from padding a stiffer foam on the wrist possibly.

    Been trying to find a glove that has similar ergonomics of the Rival Rs1 but with firmer foam. Reviews pointing me to the Phenoms 200 but not sure.

    The burgundy Phenom looks great. Fly looks better but is not leather . Padding is softer . Phenom's padding will probably take more abuse .

    Appreciate the vids man. Found your page from another reviewer. You should def have more subscribers and I’m definitely going to throw business your way for the site.
    Side question for you: I’m looking for decent wrist support, some feedback on the bag, and good knuckle protection. Between the Venum Hammer, Fly X, and Rival Guerrero Sparring, which do you think checks most of those boxes? I use the fortress t1 hand wraps currently. Thanks In advance, keep grinding!

    • @BOXUPNATION
      @BOXUPNATION  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you bro, I appreciate it, I need to link with someone who does videos mine are shit, but I try to keep the content solid. I've never used Venum products, I tried to business with them awhile back, but I guess they're too big time for me idk. If you have wrist issues Fly may not be for you, since they use a soft padding throughout the glove and its easy to bend the wrist, which can be good for some who like to catch and parry. Rival Guerrero may check all those boxes I had a pair of the loma editions a while back and they were cool, I honestly prefer sg-210's over them, but it's all preference at the end of the day.

      @@BOXUPNATION appreciate you man! And man you have a great shop and platform. I’m sure someone would jump at a chance to collab and assist with the content. And you’ll get that subscriber base and then Venum will have to rethink that stance lol. If not you don’t need them anyway, you have respected and more popular brands already.
      Understood on the preference part, it’s always subjective because everyone’s hands and wrist preferences are different. I don’t have wrist issues, just like to have the support there. These will be used mainly on bags and mitts. Not for sparring. I think the fortress handwraps help with that wrist support too. I’m just learning more about phenom. I’ll have to check them out more for sure. I do appreciate the input man. Probably going to order from your site today tbh.

    Ik this video is kinda old but Im choosing between the winning lace ups and the fly super lace x. Was set on winning but the fly lowkey changing my mind. Are you able to hit the bag with fly without much knuckle pain? Any help with this dilema would be great haha. Great review!

    • @BOXUPNATION
      @BOXUPNATION  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it depends on how severe your knuckle pain is (try using skulltec or bandax), but I don’t experience any knuckle pain hitting the bag, I think the fly padding is really soft and disperses impact fairly well. You get more padding with winning & May have more protection on the bag.

      I have quite abit of Winnings and the only complaint i have and maybe because i have small Asian hands is the 16's kinda of rub on my second knuckle digits. I also have 12's, 10's and 8's and non of them feel that way. Probably sell of the 16's as i only used them like once and never went thru a full workout with them as i switched them off, i own quite a few others that i can use inbetween.

    I bought some fly superlace x i used them about 5 times and the lining teared off where my fingers are(index and middle). I barley had time to break them in since they are super stiff at the beginning. I also felt like there was an excess of lining when i first put them on. My hand was moving in the gloves because of that excess. I hated how the thumb was curved. I hit my thumb alot because of the weird placement. For the few rounds i used them Impact protection was good, wrist protection was good. I like how the weight was distributed but In my opinion fly is overrated and i wouldnt recommand.
