I've been using these gloves for a couple of months now (14oz and lace as in the video). Personally, I'm finding these perfect for my hands (I'm 6ft1, 80kg with long fingers). I feel as though they will suit most hands though. Break in time was pretty fast and painless, maybe 3 sessions or so and my knuckles were already nestled in quite nicely. Perhaps a couple sessions more until more shock was taken out. I can also back up the point on fit for a 14oz glove being good/accurate. This is something I've struggled with in the past, in terms of finger compartment depth/landing flush. Not the case with these. They are also great on the bags - whether you're throwing quick/snappy combos and looking for a bit of pop, or sinking in with more power, with say an uppercut on the teardrop bag. So they've got this balance perfect imo. Stitching, lining and laces are all great. The leather looks and feels great out of the box but I am noticing some cracking already on the left glove towards the outside edge. This has been the only disappointment for me so far as I've owned gloves at half the price, where the leather has been more durable. It's hard to say how fast that might deteriorate. For me, that's an area for improvement. I'm thinking it's material rather than thickness but could be wrong. The lack of wrist padding on the inside hasn't personally been an issue to me and I don't have the best wrists. However, I use a lace to velcro conversion and so, get a lot of my support that way. Overall, I think they were worth the money for me personally as they've got so much right other companies struggle with. I just hope the leather holds out, as they are so far a company I will be buying from again.
These look stunning . Simple but very beautiful . That thumb curves very winning like which is not a bad thing . Punch surface seems to be very flat which I`ve found with other gloves helps landing punches properly on the knuckles. I can`t afford these right now but they will be my choice in future instead of russian boxer, rival and cletos .
@csquaredboxing, these or Hayabusa T3 LX leather or Hit N Move all day pro? I want some wrist support and do mostly bag/mitt work with occasional sparring. Great work love your channel!
The stigma with gloves being made in Pakistan is crazy after seeing the quality of the equipment that is coming out of there the past couple of years. I am ordering the elite SG200 for bag work (I love the design would you go 14 or 16oz in those?) and also the sg210 16s for sparring. Watched alot of your vids Carlo and always buy based on your reviews so thank you for your service brother 👌
Hi mate, absolutely love the channel and the videos, keep up the good work. I am torn between these and the fortress ss2.0 in velcro for Muay Thai sparring, which would you recommend? I have had some wrist issues with my Thai gloves so was also considering the onx X factor, would you say they are better for wrist support than the fortress? Or worth twice the price?
Hey Carlo, keep up the great content, yeah man, I fell in love with Phenom after watching your reviews on the SG200s, in my teammates like them, they describe it as Winning-like comfort and premium feel in a Reyes-like shape and fit. I copped myself 2 pairs of the SG210s, in white 16oz for sparring and 14oz for mitts & bagwork.
@@vascolopes6928 , it's a tough one, It's basically 7-UP or Sprite (jokes aside) There's some small minor differences, The cuff on the SG200 is a little more tapered cone shape , so it's a bit more snug. But the SG210 has a different type of comfort in the hand compartment. Overall both are excellent gloves, 10/10 quality for me. Alot of my teammates really like it, They mention how Julio Cesar Chavez wore them in his more recent IG posts.
Hey! Great review. Would you recommend to get them in 10 or 12 oz for mitt and bag work and get another 16oz for sparring? Would they work in kickboxing/Muay Thai also?
I am currently on both Venum Elite gloves for bag (14oz) and for group boxing training / sparring (16oz). I am looking to upgrade my 16oz for a premium one that can be use for all purpouses. I have very small hands and tiny wrists but I weight around 200 pounds (old gym rat going into boxing). For example I don't have fingers long enough to parry with my Venum's. I am also a bit fragile on the right wrist (broke my hand 2 times when I was young and stupid, nothing to do with boxing). Considering that I found the wrist technology of Rivals really interesting (even though I use wraps). This is why, after some research, I found some gloves (all velcros) that I cannot really try before but could be a good fit: Hit N Move balance (300€ very high review on fit2box), RFX Velco P4P guerrero (300€), Hook and Loop Cleto Reyes (300€), Phenom 210 (180€) and adidas tilt 350 (99€ also very high review on fit 2 box even though I saw some concerns on knuckle protection). Do all the most renowned and pricer gloves such as Rivals, Cleto Reyes, Hit n move are worth the extra 200€ instead of the Adidas or extra 100€ for the Phenom ? Do not hesitate to give me advices or other gloves that may be more interesting but not higher Price than 300€ (Winning would cost 500 with shipping).
