Amazing videos sir! I only went out a handful of times this year but caught my first 2 purebred muskies, a 30 earlier this spring and a personal best last weekend, a FAT 45 and a half incher. Musky fishing has become one of my favorite passions over the years and the hundreds of hours of casting at nothing has been worth it in only those two fish and the 33 inch tiger I caught last year. Keep the videos coming, we all appreciate them!
Nice work Sam! A lot of guys (me included) would say oh the rivers are too low, can't fish them now, but you fished one and made it work! Well done brother!
@mikebennewitz7019 I've used both and while i tend to agree for this particular glider I prefer to use floro because the lighter leader compliments the suspending action of the bait a bit better. It won't pull the nose down
Nice video. Most areas "north" are low..but this particular area is ok for boat or kayak. It's been a tricky fall on those rivers, size wise. but the best is still to come . ❄️☃️ I'm local.. look me up. let's fish. 🤫
@ I have 5in and 6in. I run them with 6 or 12inch straight wire. 6.3 gear ratio. I work my with no rod jerk. All paddle chop and I can’t get them to run. I get hard belly rolls and no side to side action
@troutdad7632 I actually get a good glide using 10" floro and a split ring onto the snap. My theory is that most gliders sink so the straight wire sinks with it but the beauzookahs suspend so the wire leader falls faster and pulls it down
I would be surprised if that massive log jam is allowed to get much larger. Seems like a county road commission would break it up at some point if it doesnt wash out on its own.
@RGAGANG ah I see. Here in the states we use pretty heavy equipment so it's easier to bring the fish in faster...the longer you fight a Musky the more stress gets put on the fish...so I always try and get them in as soon as possible. Musky seem to be more suseptible to stress that Pike from my experience
My bucket list. Wish I could make it come true
One of my favorite spots.
Another good one Sam, keep up the great work!
@csemrau Thank you Craig! Happy Thanksgiving!

Nice vid Sam!! 🔥

thanks for taking us along
@@victorsimonsen921 My pleasure! Thanks for virtually jumping in the boat 🙂
Nice fishing....I hope you use barbless hooks on your lures......it makes it sooo much easier to let pike and musky get released.....
@@tomastro63 that's a great tip...thank you for sharing
Well done!

The fall turnover has certainly not been kind to me lol - nice video!
@nextlevelangling i feel you 😔...all the lakes turnover at a bit of a different time so not easy to plan around. Thanks for watching and good luck!
I noticed the pricey hook cutters. I priced the Knipex … ouch, but I agree on the need for taking care of the fish and ones digits.
@mistertwister1816 actually the ones I used in this video are $13....nipex are better but 3x the price
That glider will really come to life if you use a solid wire leader instead of fluorocarbon

@@prongsong7157 It's possible. It was certainly a ton of debris
is there a specific reason to drill them that hard?
