I was thinking there’s no way a black man hasn’t been recorded catching a Muskie, then I realized this is the first video I’ve ever watched of Muskie fishing and nothing was caught so it became way more believable. Hope you land, or have already landed that trophy Muskie!

Nice video Nathan. I was SO sure that a giant was going to NAIL that 14" bait. The Musky you landed was a beauty! Also, nice job on your cuts in the video. It was nice to have the different angles (viewpoints). My big goal for 2024 is to land my very first Musky when I'm up in Maine for the summer. I tried last year. Fished the St. John River that borders USA / Canada. All I caught were smallmouth but it was still a fun adventure. I'll go back to that river but will try to find a campground and spend a week up there so I have more time. Thanks for sharing.
Takes dedication to toss the same bait all day, but the reward for a fish going after that bait would be awesome.

The grind pays off after a while when one bites, sadly never got one on the big bait but I tried my best. And yes haha, she doesn’t really know how to use the camera but she sure is great at holding it lol. It’s more fun with her around, I wanted her to fish but she didn’t have her Wisconsin license and I haven’t taught her how to use a baitcaster yet
Goal for 2024: try Muskie fishing. They fish just north of where I live in North Webster Indiana. Want to give it a try!! Cheers, Mark

I just got home from a fishing trip in Southwest Virginia for Smallmouth. I had a beautiful Musky follow my jig to the bank, the first one I have ever seen in real life. This video has really inspired me to give em a try next time I go there.

I had never watched your videos before. Then we talked for a second in person at this spot. Then youtube started suggesting all your videos. Creepy but I subbed! Lots of better dams in that area but with that current, it was the best choice.
100% agree the current is what made me choose that dam, I’m currently at a differnt one right now and doing pretty well also. That is wierd that TH-cam suggested the videos 😂
I've never hooked into a mushy. I've hooked some nice pike in Canada. I recently moved to Virginia and on the upper James river there's a river that runs into it called the New River it's close to West Virginia and it looks beautiful from the pictures I look at online it's the only river in the state that holds musky. I've always wanted to go to Minnesota and go musky fishing one day I will take my daughter there and hopefully she will hook her first fish of 10,000 casts. Great video I look at it the same way when I go to a place and don't catch a trophy I appreciate the scenery and the time spent on the water.

Biggest Musky I have ever seen was Lake St. Clare. It was at a spot they call the dumping grounds. It's where the dredging were dumped. It was sunning it self as we drifted past in our 16 foot rowboat. Was about 25 years ago, I actually thought it was a dead sturgeon at first.
CRAPPY AND MUSKY. Whoever nicknamed these fish is hilarious.

Netherlands has great pike though! I like using European pike lures for Wisconsin musky. They are usually designed really well

First, great video! Love the content. It was personally a great throw back for me. I caught my first Muskie below that damn many years ago. I actually caught it on an Antique lure from the 1930's. A frog pattern South Bend Whirl-O-Reno top water bait. Good memories. Keep up the good content. Be careful on the tracks up there.

Great video man! I always learn watching your videos. I spent 6 days fishing 13+ hours a day at St. Lawrence river and had follows and a couple get off so I would say my 2024 goal is to land my first musky

That's my favorite spot when I go up there. I target the smallies usually, but get the occasional small tiger musky. I wouldn't consider it southern WI though, lol. Maybe we can link up next time I head up. Tight lines.
