It’s all preference. Both gloves should’ve had a navy palm. I’m sure the color would worn away on the HOTH as well. It’s less visible because it’s grey.
Check out the full review on my channel, I didn’t explain in detail cause it’s just a short but the coloration isn’t how I determine the durability. You’re 100% right, the color makes it looks like the PP is way worse but that’s not true
as man who has had both I think the pro preferred is better than the heart of the hide because the HOH is so mass produced the quality is usually a bit worse and although you showed the Pro Preferred rubbing off its just the color coming off. they are both solid gloves at the en of the day.
-Don’t buy gloves if not bought directly from Rawlings ,Wilson, etc manufacturer (Dicks Sports🚩) -spend the extra $ to “customize glove if possible, best option for exact size, specs, showroom website to you feel. *not guarantee. Don’t be shy of “smaller” glove companies. Travel&HS gamers 2 $299 Nokona’s i web for middle IF/ Mod. 🪤when pitching. Quality, durability, comfort better than HOH/PP to me. (in 2012)
Yeah but all that glove had to do was separate your but from the bench for 9 innings. A lot of us need high performance gloves made of the most premium of leather
Pro Preferred is better, especially if it's an infield glove. I've had my Pro Preferred and Heart of the Hide each for 2 years and the Pro Preferred shapes and feels so nice. The Heart of the Hide still feels great don't get me wrong, but not as good or as solidly shaped as the Pro Preferred.
My old Bobby Bonds glove that was 30 years broke in before I became an All Star Little League-er wearing it. The $200 gloves the other kiddos played with, failed to help them catch my knuckle-curve😆 Give any child any glove, and so long as they have a little passion for the game, they are going to be All Stars. Expensive equipment only Thins the talent pool while excluding potential diamonds hidden in the rough!
I prefer the a2000 over the a2k… the best glove I ever had in my life other than Mizuno is an a2000… it’s the Hanley Ramirez model and it’s black and red… not only is it insane looking but the quality for the price is unmatched… a top of the line Mizuno is double the price.. The exact model is called Wilson Hanley Ramirez A2000 SuperSkin Series: A20RB16HR13 but I think it’s discontinued now…
A2000’s bust way faster than Rawlings in durability. I have both and can attest. This guy did a video showing the a2000 not even getting to 1000 catches compared to a2k…but there is something to be said about the 1786/1787 feel and squeeze. I think kids like Wilson so much because they’re for slightly smaller hands with more narrow finger stalls.
I saw one with an ocean pattern on the wrist and metallic blue for the fingers... looked sick and been looking to buy it... what is that heart of the hide model called called
He's likely wearing it with two in the pinky slot, this makes your palm stick out a little bit but makes it easier to fold the glove, some people also do 3 in the pinky if they have a hard time closing the glove which would make your palm stick out even more.
pls man do one of this video with a catcher glove, cause i need to get one and im clueless about it! or even better if you could give me a hint on which to buy
Nobody didn’t make it to the majors because of their $300-400 glove. But I am still blaming my parents for not buying me tye $200 baseball cleats bc that could have gotten me to the MLB
They do that to open the glove up wider, so if you go to catch a ball and you’re off a bit, the flaired thumb and pinky deflect it into the pocket. Also makes it easier/quicker to get the ball out of the glove to throw it.
Big fan of your vids ✊🏽 I do videos for a company that makes slow pitch softball bats Check your messages on IG I’ll get one sent out to you before your next season starts 👏🏽
I played up until my sophomore year of high school and was perfectly fine with a cheap glove from local sports stores. You don't need much, I'd say the only thing I splurged a little money on was a mako bat
Back in the day when I played, I used a Newman first base glove. It was black with a white palm or interior. I’m kinda looking for something like that now is anyone makeing anything like that? For first base? Also, what is the best first baseman glove.

Heart of the hide! Still have my old Rawlings 12" glove with basket web, a la Nolan Ryan, my father bought me when I was 14. I'm 57 now.
It’s all preference. Both gloves should’ve had a navy palm. I’m sure the color would worn away on the HOTH as well. It’s less visible because it’s grey.

Pp definitely better than r2g hoh
@@DanielGreen61have to find one of the heart of the hide that isn’t r2g, you want to actually break it in yourself
Nolan Arenado uses a HOH, that’s really all you gotta know… I myself was always an a2000/a2k or mizuno guy 😊
You nailed that loop!
IS NOBODY GOING TO TALK ABT HIS LAST SEAERCH BEING PICKELSSSSS!!!!😏😏😏😂😭
I have a Rawlings pro preferred with the full web in it used it from 5 grade to senior In highschool and still love it to this day
I like my beaten up, raggedy ass glove from high school. Never did me wrong
Same it just feels better in every way but I’m gonna be honest it’s time for an upgrade soon
*middle school* had my Louisville slugger pro flare since I was in 7th grade. I'm turning 21 next week and I will own that glove until I die
Yeah but all that glove had to do was separate your but from the bench for 9 innings. A lot of us need high performance gloves made of the most premium of leather
Love the shorts!
For the money I prefer HOH vs PP. IMO steer is more durable.
Tell you one thing. If you can get a kip leather palm liner, do it!
Good input 👌
That’s one crunchy pickle!
Absolutely heart of hide I love the heart of the hide series
I have a trapeze 12.75 Rawlings gold glove and it never did me wrong. Glove price don’t mean shit if you can’t catch anything except maybe a cold.
I’ve used them both still prefer the pro preferred. But Wilson a2000 all day long it’s the best glove
Both are fantastic and I love both of them...
But I'm 100% a rawlings guy and so is my son
I have a heart of the hide and I love it so much
I remember when pro preferred used to be 350 and HoH was 250, inflation sucks
I remember when hoh was 220😭
Pro Preferred all day💯
Pro Preferred is better, especially if it's an infield glove. I've had my Pro Preferred and Heart of the Hide each for 2 years and the Pro Preferred shapes and feels so nice. The Heart of the Hide still feels great don't get me wrong, but not as good or as solidly shaped as the Pro Preferred.
Absolutely hate how the hoh ages. The soft leather wrinkle looks terrible but the horween hoh is so much better than a regular hoh
Im picking wallmart glove for 30$ bucksss
I mean at this price may as well go Nakona.
Do a review on a patriot glove.
I’ve had my heart of the hide of 2 years and it is just now starting to have a spot
Our nokonas good infield gloves alpha
I found a nokona once. It was soaked and weighed about 10lbs. Used it up to college.
I bought this exact same Bryce Harper glove from Rawlings and I love it!!!
Man I left my heart of the hide trapeze in a dugout and that was the last time I seen it.
HOH has a light color palm and the PP is dark, that’s why it shows more wear btw.
I’ve owned a HOH for over 13+ years.
Worth. Every. Penny.
they aren't both all leather though... the synthetic material is definitely going to hold up better long term, but you sacrifice feel
Correct answer is 44 pro gloves
My old Bobby Bonds glove that was 30 years broke in before I became an All Star Little League-er wearing it. Can you do A2000 vs A2K? I don’t see many A2K in MLB, but A2000 seems to stand out more.
I game a HOTH but they are both good I would say
Yes I’ve had 200$ catchers miss but I love the sandlot it’s 70$
Can you do a2000 vs a2k? I love Wilson and want to know what will last the longest and think it will help people out!
A2k.... but it doesn't matter really. 2000 is a better glove w spin control
I prefer the a2000 over the a2k… the best glove I ever had in my life other than Mizuno is an a2000… it’s the Hanley Ramirez model and it’s black and red… not only is it insane looking but the quality for the price is unmatched… a top of the line Mizuno is double the price.. Heart of the hide all day and their colorways are on a sick one
Once i got an A2K i couldnt find anything from rawlings that was on par with it.
Heart of the hide the one love it
Heart of the hides are so hard to break in.
Through my experience with gloves, I think a Wilson A2000 is overall the best glove
A2000’s bust way faster than Rawlings in durability. I have both and can attest. Heart of the hide all the way here.
Do you ever have give aways ?
Steer hide… is literally leather…
Love your videos. But are these gloves small on you? I’d think you’d want your whole palm in the glove
He's likely wearing it with two in the pinky slot, this makes your palm stick out a little bit but makes it easier to fold the glove, some people also do 3 in the pinky if they have a hard time closing the glove which would make your palm stick out even more.
My dad got me the pro perferd and I need it broken in and the wristband adjusted
does rawlings still make the gold glove? that was a serious flex piece when I played little league lol
i have my 11.5 inch heart of the hide i've had it for 4 years
What kind of forearm sleeves are those.
Is no one gonna notice that his last search is pickles? 😭😭😭😭
That is cool
pls man do one of this video with a catcher glove, cause i need to get one and im clueless about it!
or even better if you could give me a hint on which to buy
What’s the red thing on ur wrist ?
Nobody didn’t make it to the majors because of their $300-400 glove. But I am still blaming my parents for not buying me tye $200 baseball cleats bc that could have gotten me to the MLB
I wish I could afford to get my son a new nice durable glove
Please explain why they flair the thumb on the gloves.
They do that to open the glove up wider, so if you go to catch a ball and you’re off a bit, the flaired thumb and pinky deflect it into the pocket. Also makes it easier/quicker to get the ball out of the glove to throw it.
HOH 4life

Big fan of your vids ✊🏽
I do videos for a company that makes slow pitch softball bats
Check your messages on IG I’ll get one sent out to you before your next season starts 👏🏽
I love my HOTH
Both are a little expensive for my taste.
Are either of these gloves US made?
So no one’s gonna talk about how he searched pickles?
Liberty advanced
I like my gloves beaten and worn in, it’s the only way I’ll use them.
And I like my cabinets dirty and old
Test the catchers gloves please. You'll see a difference. Make this video
Akadema
Me chillin with a 50 dollar glove: 🙁
I played up until my sophomore year of high school and was perfectly fine with a cheap glove from local sports stores. You don't need much, I'd say the only thing I splurged a little money on was a mako bat
I don’t know if this means anything but almost all MLB Rawlings players use HOH.
Is say the pickles won durability
$35 walmart glove
Nokona is #1
Pro preferred much better own one better quality and tough.
Heart of the hide
Can I ask but why my gloves has no pocket but I mallet it a lot
A2000 is the best and always will be
I have the pro proffered
What would be the best first base glove?
Any of the gloves he has shown, just a first base model…
Dsmn i never had nothing but a gold glove
Pickles?
Mitzuno they lot cheaper I paid 80$ 😂
Wilsona2000
Back in the day when I played, I used a Newman first base glove. It was black with a white palm or interior. I’m kinda looking for something like that now is anyone makeing anything like that? For first base? Also, what is the best first baseman glove.
Not too long ago hoh and a2000 were 250
Y yo queriendo al menos uno para practicar 😭
Does this really matter
HOTH
Lol $300 for a glove. Kids in the Dominican are using milk crates and are better than 99% of these suburban kids whose parents shell out that much
Your not going to catch the ball 1000 time in the same spot like that
Best glove for SS/3B/2B?
a2000 probably
Ssk I-web glove 11 1/2 inches
De 300 golve
Can you send me a glove please
Rawlings > Wilson
No way Wilson and SSK all day!!
All of this is bullshit. Get the cheapest glove and get a trainer with the savings
Im getting the 300 dollar glove just because its 100 dollars less
Heart of the hide
