I made the same mistake. Moved from Texas to Alabama. Something we planned together. Within months he began treating me horribly. I even found out about other women. The exact same thing happened to me. 3 years of hell. I learned and although I attracted another female narcissist I handled her much better boundaries and protected myself far better. As a result it only lasted 4 months. I destroyed her discard because she was using it to triangulate new supply and I called her bluff and accepted her discard walked away and blocked her. I have a hard time praying for the new supply I reached out to her, she knew she was in the middle of our relationship and she got slick at the mouth with me. I'm not praying for her because she is complicit in the situation too. Whatever happened between she and him that's her karma. She has my number and she is welcome to speak to me. You are right on saying that the Empath controls the discard. Even though my husband technically left me, he sensed that I wasn't believing his lies, knew he was cheating, and all the other garbage. I was taking up for myself. So he left before getting thrown out. I did not know what was wrong with him until after he left....that he was a covert narcissist. Educating myself has helped me move forward and not take his abuse personally. I thank God every day for him leaving. It was so much easier than kicking him out and having to deal with that. You are right on saying that the Empath controls the discard. Even though my husband technically left me, he sensed that I wasn't believing his lies, knew he was cheating, and all the other garbage. I was taking up for myself. So he left before getting thrown out.
I did not know what was wrong with him until after he left....that he was a covert narcissist. Educating myself has helped me move forward and not take his abuse personally. I thank God every day for him leaving. It was so much easier than kicking him out and having to deal with that.

We were together for 4 years. 2 weeks after she broke up, I saw her walking hand in hand with her new boyfriend. I was devestated. Their relationship lasted 6 months.They broke up.
