The spirit and emotions shown in this piece reminds me of how Pt. Onkarnath Thakurjee sang JOGI MAT JAA, spellbinding the audience and bringing out tears and yet a feeling that something still went amiss after the end.

More khayal, less thumri. As a Bhairavi rendition, superb. As Babul mora, I like the sadness and inevitability of KL Saigal, resembling the situation in the composer wrote it.

I beg to disagree. This is proper thumri gayaki. Different from the patiala thumri, this is the bananas or purab ang thumri.
