Great sitar maestro Pandit Ravishankar once said in an interview that Ustad Amir Khan's LP record on Marwa is one of the best 5 records in the world. So, I dare not to comment after this opinion. But we just enjoy this divine rendition.
No one,and I claim no one,comes even close to this sublime rendering of Marwa.Makes me think that I am on a different planet while engrossed in this simply out of world gayaki.

Yes, no one can even claim to be close to this sublime rendition and apart from my late Guru and his father, Ustad Munawar Ali Khansahib and his father, Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khansahib, no one has the courage to treat the omnipotent SA of Raag Marwa with such magnificence. Salaam Khansahib ! I was just about 5 years old when you left us in that godforsaken accident in Kolkata!
This Marwa, probably the only raag had been sung in its entirety and it happens to be performed by Ustad Amir Ali Khan . Not even bade ghilam Ali Khan had been able to stretch to this level.
