Unreal Engine is taking over this year! Great work, perhaps in future videos consider showing the completed design at the beginning so we don't have to skip to the end. Otherwise awesome stuff 🔥
Nice tutorial! i'm facing an issue with the Cloner Actor. All the parameters on the Cloner Component are blocked and it shows the folowing message below the components in Details pane: "native components are editable when declared as a property in c++ " Do you have any idea on how to fix this? tks
Yeah, thank you! So many possibilities now in UE5! I can imagine creating some nice motion graphics content for TikTok or Instagram in Portrait format with this.
Thank you SO MUCH for your tutorial! Absolutely genius. Did you scan the can yourself or did you have to model it? I have to work with some make up products and I don't know how to properly scan metallic, shiny or transparent surfaces. Any tips on that? Thank you again for this tutorial. You have another subscriber!
Hi all the models are just simple ones for leaners to enjoy, you can grab it from my sketchfab for free sketchfab.com/shaunansari shiny surfaces are very hard to scan as you cant get the points on it, i use a matte spray color (grey or dark grey) and then i use a white spray very lightly on top to get dots on the surface and then i use a tool like realitycapture to scan it that way the little white dots on the grey surface allow the tool to scan it, but this one was modeled in blender for you guys :) thank you for the sub means allot
Thank you for the amazing Tutorial!!! btw @Rforge I cant turn on the bell icon for your videos, everytime I click "All" option it automatically reverts back to "None" 😢
Hi. Very cool lesson! Thank you very much. For a beginner who just started learning this is a very cool video. I have a question. Maybe you will have time and show me how to implement this. How to make the renderer transparent background, but that all the reflections and light on the object remain?
Hello! If you are using the movie render que you can render an ALPHA channel from it (let us know if you want us to make a tutorial on this!) However! What you may enjoy more is the fact we are getting render layers in the new unreal engine versions. portal.productboard.com/epicgames/1-unreal-engine-public-roadmap/c/1364-render-layers This is slated to be included in 5.4! -RF Shaun
@@Rforge It would be really cool if you did the lesson! I look forward to it. It will also be interesting to see how you can combine multiple scenes. For example, with the same jar. How you can change the scene from one camera, for example, to another. that there were 2-3 angles for rendering. Thank you!
after enabling motion design: Unreal 5.4 keeps crashing on startup with this error: Assertion failed: ParentAnimClass->GetSparseClassDataStruct() [File:D:\build\++UE5\Sync\Engine\Source\Editor\AnimGraph\Private\AnimBlueprintCompiler.cpp] [Line: 1298] Could you help me out with fixing this?
Love this and followed to a T. I'm getting flickering reflections on the metallic reflective bottom part of the can. I wish I knew what was causing this and how to fix it. Beginner UE user here. happening in the viewport even when the timeline is not playing.
Hello. I have another question. I have encountered a problem with displaying textures on a model. I added a skull model with textures to Unrial. But on the model itself the textures are blurred. I tried writing r.steaming.Pools 10000000(now I do not remember exactly the correct name), but it did not help. Have you encountered such a problem?
Either reduce the resolution of the texture or disable texture streaming in project settings, it's becoming blurry as your project is overloading the streaming pool The default value is good and you should optimize your project to work within that, if it's not a game and you will be using sequencer You can go ahead and disable streaming all together
Thanks for the tutorial...but I am facing a problem....when I set the rotation of the can and animate it, it is not rotating at its axe...it is considering the tilt of the can instead. What I did wrong?
Really nice work, that is gorgous! Would it be possible to place an animation of a talking Metahuman on the label? Ive tried placing Mpegs but cant resize them and UE 5 bugs out on me.
@@Rforge attaching a mp4 to Media source and using media source's texture wont work in 5.4. Only 5.3. And seems pretty slow on my comp. Just an FYI. My settings I'm sure are not ideal.
I don't see much difference with using sequencer only and this is based on sequencer too. So motion design makes it easier by providing key frame buttons and presets?
Hi!, Absolutely correct, sequencer hasn't changed all that much but using the motion design new additions like Cloners or effectors WITH sequencer is what's new and aimed motion designers wanting to make the move to Unreal Engine from say AfterEffects / Blender of Cinema4D. Some of these are outlined here: portal.productboard.com/epicgames/1-unreal-engine-public-roadmap/tabs/106-unreal-engine-5-4 -RF Shaun
Ok so Plane is used for reflection on metallic surface.but how light is passing through plane. what is intent of putting light behind plane. . Why not use light directly ? Sorry if question is noob.
Hi ! No question is a bad question firstly It's always a good idea to combine a plane that casts light with a direct light source for better lighting If you only have a light it looks very different to a plane plus light (you can experiment with this to see the results) A tip for you if you're in unreal engine, you can add a texture to your rect light and get similar results in the reflections
Cool, good new stuff coming. But I really hope someone makes a tut on how to make a really cool and good looking commercial within unreal, cause as of now it's all basic stuff and doesn't look that good, it has this feel that's hard to get over with, with ray tracing.
@@Rforge Im not criticizing you by the way (cause I reread lol) Just the general aesthetics of unreal engine and the lack of actual commercial work out there
Why do some people always prefer to use traditional DCC third-party tools instead of built-in tool light rendering to directly compare UE's built-in tool light rendering..
Thanks for the tutorial, but I was expecting much more usage of the new Motion design tools in this tutorial (because you have named the video like that), the stuff you have shown here almost entirety of the video is standard techniques that are not exclusively the new Motion Design tools.

This would be a good introduction tutorial into motion graphics in UE, but i fail to see the "stunning" side of it. I suggest you properly title your videos to avoid confusion. People don't like being baited. It might lead to dislikes and eventually the algorithm ditching you.

More light and a lower exposure is one way to do this
