    thank you so much. It was really helpful. Something that I expected to hear more was the importance of knowing how to work with special softwares related to your field.

    Hey 101 Mentor, I have a video suggestion. Canada has legalized Cannabis and the industry has been evolving since. As someone who's in the regulatory affairs and experience in regulated industries, can you give us recommendations on how one might enter into the Cannabis industry? Thanks a lot!

      It seems like he's interviewing an actor that accidentally researched the wrong kind of engineering, lol.

      Sorry you are probably expecting your question to be answered from with a lot of experience from both fields but as a guy who did my UG in mechanical engg and my masters in industrial engg and working in Industrial engg field now. I will share what my thoughts are: Mech engg mostly does a lot of designing/research stuff in terms of designing a product mostly. Aa an Industrial engineer I implement already designed product in manufacturing the product and tackle problems after the designing stage. I hope you get a fair idea of what they both do

      @@sharuhs Is Industrial engineering a creative career. What is the difference between industrial engineering and industrial design. Do industrial engineers creat products and come up with new, better and creative ideas.

    • @sharuhs

      @@Naledi_the_star_of_the_show Industrial engineering is not a creative career in terms of making a product. A product design is done by mechanical
      /electronics/etc engineers who have core knowledge on the product their making. Industrial engineers do not have core knowledge on something that needs product design. Industrial engineers are mostly into process design. Eg: they give inputs on whether or not a product will be feasible to make or not how they are feasible, what is needed etc. All this is done by industrial engineers who are a part of NPD (new product development).
      Getting to being creative or not: In general it is not, except where CPI (continuous process improvement) where you try to increase efficiency without adding a lot of cost is involved and may be here and there of data analysis.

    i have a question..... how does industrial manufacturing engineering is related to mechanical engineering? is it a branch of mechanical engineering?

    • @SantiagoValdezRoy
      @SantiagoValdezRoy 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Abrar nafis
      I’m currently an IE student. IE is not a branch of Mec, just another branch of engineering.
      IE is mainly focused on efficiency. It can be done through manufacturing like making the most of a material to make a “case” like the example they used here. Or also in systems and processes. Like figuring how to make as many cases as most as possible but also as efficient as possible.
      The best explanation I heard is that IE is the bridge between Engineering and Business.
