The Audi A4 series is the best front-wheel drive car in the world, the motor is placed longitudinally instead of transversely, enabling it to be positioned closer to the firewall, the front wheels moved further to the front, this reduces front overhang & heaviness. Need a bevel gear to transmit the power to the front driveshafts though, some power & torque would have been lost on the pair of bevel gears. A4, A5 and the A6 share the same chassis. Not the A3 which is made in Romania, from memory the A3’s engines are made in Poland. Remember the SAAB cars ? Their front overhangs were exceedingly long, need to slow down when driving over a ditch on the kerb or the front bumper will scrape the road surface.
Just for some info, a lot of interior trim for most premium sedans are made in Romania. Also a lot of aircraft pieces and assembly line check parts and systems. And this is just hardware, regarding software you can bet your savings that your car, regardless of brand, contains SW written and tested here. But thanks for the update regarding the A3, I personally had no idea :D
Outside Design is great. The inside “ standalone tablet” is awful. Looking forward to buy one when there will be a new integrated display in the dashboard like in A3 and in A6.
I love my A4 but would much rather have the pop-up screen, like is present in the A3. I also miss the MMI joystick in the center console. If I'm eating fries while driving, the touch screen gets all greasy!
Exactly! I actually want to replace my car with an A4 or A5, but I thought that shit tablet would have been gone starting 2021. This looks really horrible compared to the A3 or A6.
With so many Hyundai's on the road with the same look, I guess you have to go with BMW or Mercedes to stand out. And yes, get rid of the tablet bolted on the dash...

The multi drl blocks could have been on the bottom of the taillight lens instead of the top.
