  • ‘Dysphoric’ is a four-part documentary series on the rise of Gender Identity Ideology, its effects on women and girls - especially in developing countries.
    Synopsis:
    In this dystopian world where misogyny is rampant, and womanhood is commodified, being female comes at a cost. Corporates capitalise on women's bodies blurring the lines of biological sex, and profiting from the emperically untested pseudo-science of queer theory. This gaslighting is aided by the complicity of media, academia, legal and the political world. It is no surprise that young girls are fleeing womanhood like a house on fire.
    The past decade has seen a steep rise in the number of young girls seeking to transition by undergoing life threatening, irreversible procedures. ‘Dysphoric’ is a four-part documentary series on the rise of Gender Identity Ideology, its effects on women and girls - especially in developing countries.
    The film explores gender transition, the permanent medical side-effects of hormones and surgeries, the propaganda by 'woke' corporations that glorifies thousands of stereotypical gender presentations coalesced as fashion, a surge in pronoun policing; language hijacking that calls women ‘menstruators’, and the many hurdles women face while trying to question this modern-day misogyny. The film amplifies the voices of detransitioners, clinicians, psychiatrists, sociologists, feminists, academics and concerned citizens.
    ‘Dysphoric’ was made over the course of a year during COVID lockdown, amid cancellations. Your support is appreciated: www.paypal.me/v...

    This series has made me a feminist again. Growing up in the 70s all the way to the 90s I didn’t think feminism was needed anymore. I was wrong. Thank you to the courageous women and men who contributed to this incredibly needed film project.

      I can't imagine how frustrating it must be to see such great strides made by women for our rights in the 70s only to have it negated by this absurd ideology. And the fact that porn has become hundreds of times more 1. violent/degrading and 2. easily accessible, to people of all ages. It's damn depressing.

    Thank you for making this beautiful well thought out Documentary. I for one have been someone who has struggled with detransition, I have gone back and forth so many times. It is not easy, and I have fought against many who are on this video, and for that, I apologize. In my heart, I know that transition does not work, many disagree, how can it, when it does not solve the heart of the issue. I am very broken, destroyed, and beaten. I transitioned in 2003, I was 38 years old, I am now 56. I had a full hysterectomy and top surgery at the same time. I have been on and off hormones on many occasions. I am tired and beat.
    I need therapy, and to feel I belong. I no longer wish to continue this lie, I am a woman, and I hate what I did to myself. I only hope that the youth watch this documentary and understand what they are getting themselves into.

    Keira Bell is so brave! I support her SO much. My hope is that those in need can find this documentary and grow from it. I'm not against trans people, I just recognize that there's a huge push for people to identify as trans and receive the medical care related to being trans. It's a social contagion right now, and so many people, especially lesbian girls, are going to be hurt by this. My heart aches for all of the hurt women and girls :(. I love you all, and I'm a bi woman. Please embrace your queerness without changing yourself to fit some image. You are great the way you are. No surgeries are needed to to yourselves.

    What a beautiful and tragically sad documentary. Very pleased to see this side being presented as it's near impossible with the trans dogma, agenda and activists pushing down all dissent, silencing females who resist accepting males can replace them & have a right to do so.
    Also happy to see Jennifer Bilek's incredibly informative blog, the 11th Hour, cited at min 39, along with other great orgs. Ms Bilek has done exhaustive writing on the 'follow the money' aspect and it's clear that very deep pockets are financing this rapid push to use our children in this transhuman experiment. As this film points out, this industry is set to balloon to 1.5 billion annually within 5 years. It's a capitalist wet dream.
    And that this issue has split families, workplaces, movements...the women's movement chief among them and the worlds leaders are enforcing it from the top down, while they continue to NOT address inequity between males and females on all playing fields ought to tell you who the hell is behind all of this. Rich white guys who benefit from the lower classes being at war w/ each other. That's who. This entire cult has been peddled as if it came out of the left but that's not true. It's simply one more layer of bullshit dropped on us by the Ruling Class.

    • @karenlynch5684
      @karenlynch5684 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@karenlynch5684I'd say this ideology permeated both sides but it was definitely taken up more enthusiastically by the left mistaking it for being progressive and protecting a vulnerable minority.

      The day will come when these doctors are mentioned alongside Tuskegee, Milgram, Harlow, Zimbado, Watson & Rayner & at the same time the medical and psychology establishment will be congratulating themselves for being so much more ethically enlightened while manufacturing their own ethical scandals, just as they are now. I just completed a unit on ethics & my parting comment to my tutor & the group was that our professions (psych, counselling, social work & crim) are entirely too self assured about having their ethical problems squared away & that I can see terrible scandals on the horizon based upon the current guidance of professional organisations to which B practitioners must adhere under the guise of ethical practice. We are in deep trouble.

    I breaks my heart that Raquel Rosario Sanchez was treated so appallingly at Bristol University. I taught in the philosophy department there in the 1980s, and started a course in feminist theory. The students studied among other things different approaches to feminist theory and ideas about human nature, sex and gender, mind and body. These were matters for debate, not for vilification. In so many ways the situation for women is getting worse not better. If students studied such ideas now, even if they didn't agree, they would at least see that it's a matter for argument not for no-platforming. But so many of the scholarship in feminism has been eradicated in recent years by the activist bullies.

    What an outstanding series. I can see why YT's algorithm has buried it! I only discovered it b/c a friend posted the link on FB & suggested I watch it. It's so alarming that there are countries where sex-segregated toilets are ESSENTIAL for the protection of women & girls from sexual assault, rape, & other violence from men & boys, yet people here in the U.S. don't care. We are so deluded that we don't even realize we are giving men anything and everything they want, which is complete access to any woman for any purpose in any space, simply by using the magic word: trans.

    • @Grimaceschaos06
      @Grimaceschaos06 23 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It isn’t just other countries that women need protection from boys, and men, in the form of sex-segregated spaces. There have been instance, after instance, of women being abused both physically and sexually in restrooms, spas, and even women’s prisons within the US. In every one of these cases, the women are told they need to be silent, just be kind, or have been threatened by the facilities in which these cases of assault took place. In these situations the trans identifying males were not punished, but either quietly transferred to different schools, and even a juvenile detention center for the trans identified male who was incarcerated. The families on the other hand were threatened or coerced into silence. These are just a few examples of why women need sex-segregated spaces all over the world, and why we need to keep challenging the laws making it possible for self ID trans identifying males to invade our sex- segregated spaces.
      While I do understand that women in other countries suffer worse due their patriarchal society’s rules for them. We must also remember that at its core places like the US, also have patriarchal practices. Women in the US are losing the rights to their reproductive choices. Our protections federally have already been stripped, and now state after state is determining whether women are allowed to make choices for their own reproductive future. Plan B or the morning after pill may soon be inaccessible here within the US, depending on where you live. And females who travel over state lines to procure an abortion, are in danger of being prosecuted. None of these examples are the actions of a society that values its women. These are the actions of a society that has allowed itself to be gaslit into believe we are progressing, instead of moving backwards, and catering to men in all walks of life. 😅

    Fantastic documentary. I stepped away from feminism for a number of years because I failed to see the other pertinent issues.
    What altered me to the need for feminism was this strange marriage I noticed between BLM and trans women's rights. It's stated directly on their site, and at every BLM protest you could instantly find this insistence that trans women are "real" women.
    Every time I looked at BLM, I saw two concerning trends.
    This instance that trans women (aka men) are undeniably women and to say otherwise is an act of hate. Secondly, I couldn't help but notice we were praising and celebrating the legacy of men who were aggressive women haters. George Floyd committed armed robbery against a pregnant woman, pointing the gun at her belly, and has a history of domestic violence.
    So many of the BLM martyrs have a history of violence against women. But people conveniently looked past that reality in favour of supporting a narrative. Issues and violence against women is shunned as transphobic or racist in the name of elevating these more popular narratives. What the hell? Where were the feminist refusing to celebrate men who have a history of frequent and extreme violence against women? Where are the feminists who are standing up for women's rights when trans men want access to women's safe spaces? Where are the feminist who stand up for the lesbians who are being called bigots when they don't want to have sex with biological men?
    Thank you for this doc, and thank you for including studies as well!

    This is a great piece of work. It really encapsulates what the entire mess is about, the pain and suffering, the misconceptions, the influence of theory without evidence, the extraordinary dereliction of medical duty, above all the culpable failure to observe the very first medical commandment, First do no Harm. It's amazing and even more a matter for awed praise that you managed to create this over 10 months in the middle of a pandemic. It's also a terrible warning, but with a message of determination and hope for a different future. JK Rowling's poetic tweet, rightly endlessly quoted and retweeted, says it all too (Live your best life ...) My donation follows. This film must be widely shared and viewed. How professionals of all varieties - even the police - got on the side of defending gender identity no matter what circumstances AND punishing those who rejected the pro-trans social norm is incredible. It probably will become a great subject of discussion and analysis for future generations to come when the madness is finally over.

    shocked that this has infiltrated into countries like India as well! Thanks to the maker and other courageous women and men who spoke out about this practice (of encouraging young females down the path to “transgender identity” ), which I truely believe, will be looked back on by all people with absolute horror in the not too distant future.

    This documentary was moving. I saw myself in many of these women's stories. I'm an asexual and dress androgynous, but I have never experienced gender dysphoria. I also had a relatively stable home life, which it seems many of these women didn't. This is probably what stopped me from even considering GID. My only nitpick is that there are male and female characteristics of the brain. There is no brain binary like there is with genitalia, but there are sexed characteristics in the same way there are male and female sex characteristics in a person's face. Men tend to have squarer jaws and heavier brows, but that's not say that some women don't have that too. You can say that on average, men are better at math and visuospatial skills than women and tend to be more aggressive. That isn't to say that there aren't female mathematicians and female serial killers, they're just far less common. But the idea you have to radically transform your physical being because you fall outside a couple standard deviations for a set of psychological or cognitive traits is nonsense and terribly destructive.

    Is the legal profession involved somehow? I've read that some states are allowing 13 year olds to get treatments without parents.. Create an obvious travesty of law then there is money to be made in fighting these laws?

    Everyone should download all four parts and save it in case it gets deleted. The way it is done so comprehensively is brilliant and it needs to be shared as much as possible. Thank you to all those who made it happen. Well done and heroic for so many reasons and NONE of them out of hate like these issues are painted so flippantly.

    This is deeply moving, worrying, and a very informative documentary. Although I'm already aware of many of the issues and arguments presented, there were quite a few moments of horror and disbelief. I found the argument that suicidal ideation can be instilled and reinforced in the young mind by peers and professionals particularly compelling. And something not mentioned, but which came to mind as I watched, is that the spike in children wishing to become trans coincides with the ubiquitous use of the internet. Would it be fair to argue that this is compelling evidence that children, given unfettered access to the internet are at far higher risk than has so far been recognised?

    • @limesodafilmsVS
      @limesodafilmsVS  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Doug, usage of social media and the effects of unfettered access to the internet is discussed in the film. However, such a conclusion can't be drawn based on anecdotal evidences alone. It has to be academically studied. I won't be surprised if the correlation is positive.

    • @dougroberts8723
      @dougroberts8723 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@limesodafilmsVS Of course, I was merely expressing the subjective impression evoked by the narrative discussed in the film, since it doesn't explicitly state the correlation for the reasons you've explained. I think as a mere layman it's fair enough for me to share the opinion that that correlation is outstandingly obvious, albeit a formal academic study is required.

    Thank you to Vaishnavi, all of the detransitioners and the medical and mental health professionals for your contribution to this conversation! Nothing under the sun has a 100% positive rating so I've always been highly suspicious that all sides of this issue are rarely presented. As a former teacher, I was absolutely alarmed at what I could only call grooming jr high age children by other faculty and staff, but of course given the current environment we live in, I was pretty much gagged to say anything about it. More people need to speak up about the potential harm this is causing young children, ESPECIALLY the long-term physical harm. I've always supported people being who they are, but it is just horrifying how radical hormone therapy has now been implemented on minors! I think what is happening is very dangerous and without proper, peer-reviewed studies and up front conversations about potential ramifications, I fear the current model could be doing far more harm than good.

      I've been discussing these issues on a private forum: every single person is absolutely uninformed, and condones the mainstream ideology, some do so to the point of fanaticism. It's quite shocking that so many people blindly accept woke ideology, and will fiercely defend it, even when they don't know squat. I'm now hated by many people on that forum, and I honestly went gently, and merely stated that the debate isn't over, and there are two sides. The Thought Police have done a great job. I wonder if George Orwell ever imagined his work would be used as a springboard to implement the exact society he was warning us against.......
