They are all so nice to each other. There is no filthy language. They are supportive to who leaves. Kevin and Melissa don't bring crappy attitudes. We also learn about different cultures without being forced too. I love it!

This one was A-MA-ZING; I cried and it’s not a joke because the friendship they all had was intense! Congrats to them all !! I was so happy for the winner!

Idk what their budget was, but this season clearly shows that it’s a cut above other reality TV cooking shows. The editing and camerawork was MUCH better than these other shows
I binged season2. My husband hooked me up to this show and I’m amazed and inspired. When I say season 2 ep3, I immediately knew who’d be in the top 3. I have mad respect for Auntie Delilah❤ at 70 she was still throwing down. Every competition showed she could feed 1 million people and probably has already. When Big T and Logan went head to head, that was popcorn morning. Logan is the best. He truly is a great friend no matter where the competition is. It’s all love with him. Big T also, they both know how to separate the self and honor others. I’ve never seen that In competitions.
This was an awesome season. Great contestants. They all displayed unique personalities, backgrounds and skills. Cant speak highly enough about the judges, truely passionate BBQers and at the top of their craft, gave great insights into what they were looking for and critiqued everyone fairly. Host annoyed me a bit. Challenges were very creative and challenging, making the ones who advanced clearly worthy. Show rating 4.5/5. SPOILERS: in the final cook the judges sure sounded like Logan did better than Tyron so I was surprised Tyron won. Not mad about it, Tyron was the more traditional pitmaster but feel bad for Logan. Knocked about every dish out of the park and has incredible culinary background and instincts. Think he said he'd only bbqed for 2 years so i was amazed with how well he did
I rarely watch any cooking show past first episode. I watched the whole first season of this twice. I hope it stays the same quality. It just has a good atmosphere and it's a great thing to watch during meal lol
I have seen different cooking shows and cook off but what made it exceptional was all the contestans harmony and judges] was so unique. Also this session 2 had awesome challenges.
Undercooked? That was a pc of meat they showed and I doubt it was undercooked to get that skin crispy and perfect color? Then it’s undercooked? as a Filipino who loves and grew eating whole roasted hog or what we called LECHON? Imagine they cooked it in half or butterfly not traditionally how we cooked the whole hog.. nah nah nah nah nah
Logan should be the winner cuz he cook it perfect! And as a Filipino who cooks lechon often I can tell you did it right and best! The skin is most important texture and identity of cooking whole pig.
In case you haven't watched the season yet, I like to inform you that my comment might contain spoilers! I like the show because who doesn't like BBQ? However I had an issue with the 2nd episode of this season. The challenge was about to make chilli peppers as the star of the competitors dishes. The show showed the (so far) hotest chilli on this planet, called the california reaper and it's creator, Ed Currie. They said it has about 1,6 Mio scoville, and that's about the info. The competitors could use them for their dishes, if they wanted to. So 2 of the female comeptitors did. First Cindy, and there where my issue started. When Melissa (one of the Judges and called the Queen of BBQ) tried Cindy's beans she also got a piece of the california reaper in her mout. She was very upset and I would been not surprised if Melissa would have said she would sue Cindy for not telling her that he dish contained some california reaper. Which she didn't say, but Melissa made an "I sue you!-face" The problems I have: #1 If you can't stand the heat stay out of the kitchen! Which means in this case, if the judges don't want californa reapers even near their mouth then don't let the competitors use them!! #2 Give the compettors more informations on those very hot chillies! Even most chefs don't know them all and have no idea how hot a scoville is, not to talk about 1,6 mio.! When the other competitor (Delilah) presented her dish, she said (after what happened while Melissa tried Cindy's dish) that her sauce was made of 20 california reapers. Then Ed Currie said, 1/2 one would be enough. Well thank you! Why not giving those informations earlier? What I would change is that the competitors would not have to use time that is ment for the cooking for serving the plates. It seems that so far no one had a time problem with that, but it always looks thing get in a final hurry for nothing. So when the time is up, they should not be allowed to continue with cooking, but serving the plates should happen with no hurry. Just my opinion on that. IDK if this was staged, but if not then the show made a very bad job on educating the competitiors on the chilly pepper they should use! Other than that The show was very good.
This is a great show!! II love the drama but there is also some great camraderie between the contestants. I love that Thyron won because he is the most likable pitmaster I've ever seen. I rooted for him from the first episode. Logan is a nice guy but he has those hideous hulahoop earrings and tats.
Probably it was karma coz he got over joey during the survival challenge he wasn't supposed to have won imo and big t had challenges but still went big on his sides and his bbqs had great flavours
As a South African we cook over the coals on an open fire often. Critical part is making sure you have coals first and enough of them. You never cook over flaming logs. Amateur hour. Seems that Americans can only barbecue using big machines that have temperature gauges. These guys struggle to even make fire or coals.
This show is different than season 1. Season 1 was good. Season 2 adds the dramatic and appears to focus a bit more on the judges than the actual competitors. This show took a step down from Season 1
Logan got over on Joey....he only had potatoes cooked underground when at least one PROTEIN was to be cooked under/one over. The judges screwed my man Joey over, giving Logan another chance. BOOOOO!
SPOILER! Is it just me who realized that Logan cheated on the surf and turf challenge? They were meant to cook one meat over the fire and the other underground, and he cooked both on the fire but only some sides underground, what the actual f@#$@!!!?!?

This is a BBQ show, right? So, why do I see a fish of some sort at the 21-second mark? I'm guessing it's gonna be different, but I have to admit, bbq makes me think of some sort of meat. The first season had some exotic ones iirc. Guess we'll wait and see.
It was so disappointing that they didn’t feature a single briquet in this season. That was terrible oversight in my opinion. Nevertheless, the season was good.
I came here to offer some criticisms after viewing it now for the second time. And oh boy it wasn’t an improvement. SPOILERS! First the positives. I really liked the addition of the trench. It added a level of difficulty to cooking a BBQ spread as well as the challenges. I also liked that they kept with good contestants with good sportsmanship all the way. But that’s it. Negatives. I absolutely did not liked the host. She was really annoying as hell with her smart ass comments and she lacked subtlety that the previous pair had. This time, Melissa also was more critical and well, she got burned for what she asked for in that spicy challenge and as much as the dish was bad, it also seemed that she had it against that contestant after that lol (and I don’t blame her). Another aspect was that they also seem to not had the best of the best in the barbecue world rather, as a comment noted, who is the best cook in their house. That is ok but at least in the previous season, we had some competitive bbqers such as Tina, Ashley, Ms Silvie and I would assume Grubbs as well. Here, well I think that probably that Texan guy had some experience and also Cindy in competitive bbq. Also, they forgot what this show was about: BBQ! None of these challenges, if I recall, is based on actual BBQ. For example, surf and turf challenge, the sauce one and others. Some, if not all, of season 1 was based around BBQ and some BBQ meat. The brisket, ribs, BBQ around the world, and through the centuries were indeed related to BBQ. Even the sandwich one was as well. Here is like “cook me a dish in a smoker and that’s BBQ”. That’s how I felt and idk. This season was a disappointment for me due to the following reasons.

Imagine cooking fried chicken on a pan with oil over fire constitutes as bbq. It wasnt the challenge therefore he should have been kicked in the second episode. Simply it wasnt bbq, it had no flame touch the meat directly.

The Female judge is annoying and by far the worst character on the show she makes it hard to watch without her more fun show 3.i find it hard when they judge saying mmm it rare to medium it should be medium to well NO that's your personal preference not everyone's they should have a range of judges that like meat at different levels 1 judge like rare 2 judge likes medium 3rd likes well done and they can all make a collective decision would make more sense. 4. Just call it meat stop calling it protein 😂

I found it funny that the most accomplished contestant seemed the most out of place in this show. I know she was coming back from injury but still. Guessing she's really good when she can plan everything ahead of time but not in a time crunch think on your feet show like this

I found it funny that the most accomplished contestant seemed the most out of place in this show. I know she was coming back from injury but still. Guessing she's really good when she can plan everything ahead of time but not in a time crunch think on your feet show like this

This show is so lame, everything is scripted and after the first 5 min I had to turn it off. Lame actors lame script lame show..
