Its not actually kicking in charging, its keeping the power limit at that wanted level so you can use rest after blackouts. Sometimes theres a bug that you have to tap backup reserve slider twice to get it running without charging as it should be without using wall outlet.. When you deselect backup reserve it should charge it to wanted level thats been selected from wghite bar up there.
I found that just like solar if you set the charge limit to 100% and when charged to 100% it will stop all charging and allow for the % to drop to 96% before actually allowing charge to begin again. The reserve capacity for ac charging works the same way. It's annoying. I feel like the solar should ramp up as more power is pulled to keep charged. Lol
Yes . As soon as the battery drops ti the reserve capacity it then kicks on bypass and charges for a few minutes then remains in bypass with no charging unless you raise or remove the reserve
Yes. If I have a load of 1350 for example and I have the charge set to 200 watts. Then it will have a AC input of 1550 watts until there is enough sun to keep it above the set reserve capacity.
@@jaysonstebbins2539 I have the Eco flow pro. I’m trying the solar panels. Tried plugging into my vehicle and I tried to plug it into the wall and still won’t charge.
Haha nice! I use that samw wyze outdoor plug to control my ac charging for the EFDP.
With the new "reserve capacity" you can control it without a smart plug which is awesome!
Hmmm this would be a great feature but doesnt seem to be present on my Ecoflow Delta Max
Maybe there is a firmware update now? I have the Delta 2 max and it is available to me
Good idea upgrade Eco Flow delta pro 3 can you test it out on TH-cam video 👍
I absolutely would. I'm still paying this one off still though lol

Why would it not be constantly charging if plugged in makes no sense

Does it go in to bypass mode when the AC charging kicks in?
Yes . As soon as the battery drops ti the reserve capacity it then kicks on bypass and charges for a few minutes then remains in bypass with no charging unless you raise or remove the reserve
But does it keep giving power while it is charging on AC?
Yes. If I have a load of 1350 for example and I have the charge set to 200 watts. Then it will have a AC input of 1550 watts until there is enough sun to keep it above the set reserve capacity.
What can I do if my doesn’t charge at all?
@user-jw2oi6dc8g what isn't charging and how are you trying to charge it?

How many panel solar you have?
I think I had either 12 or 15 , 100 watt panels at that time. Now I have 18 , 100 watt panels running 6S3S. 6 in series and 3 sets in parallel
