I've used 40% before and it seemed like it took a couple, few months for me! I've never used your recipe though..... So, maybe mine was not good. LOL thanks for the beautiful video!
Thank you for watching! I normally prefer to use a ratio of 50/50 soft to hard oils (or even 45/55). This recipe was 55 soft/45 hard, so I might let it sit for 6 weeks instead of my usual 4 week cure time. Bars with a higher percentage of hard oils will definitely last longer in the shower, though. And of course it really depends on the fatty acid profiles of the oils. Yes, it gets smaller and smaller as you add more soap, thus not achieving the same design effect.

it does take longer..it creates a soft bar
