The 1st mission (king of the mountaintop I think it's called) has a shortcut which you can skip part of the mission, but requires 2 people. The only enemy you have to kill is the final boss. We did them in just a few mins each.
I'm rank 17 and I just grinder everything I could and did the raid 4 times. It helps if you like to help other players, what I did was continue to help sherpa ppl through the raid on ps4
I personally feel that the Download Complete mission is very fast, even on solo. Walk around the server and send in your ghost, then run over to the next objective and you dont need to kill anyone at all until you get to the enemies in the final room
Download Complete in Dust Palace on Mars is the fastest for Hard as Iron just run past all the enemies scan the computer run past enemies open the elevator jump down and knock out the two waves of enemies with shotguns, rockets and specials wont even take 5 minutes
does anyone know which level you could reach without playing the raid? i'm asking because i don't have too much time for playing abd a raid takes to much time. my theory is about level 18, cause there are 4 pages and the max level is 24, so i hope i can reach 3/4 of the book.
I'm a bit late here, but all I'm saying is that if you don't have much time then your screwed for this book. It takes quite a bit of grinding. Also, you can complete exactly 75% of the book without doing the raid, as the one on the raid page that can be done solo counteracts the Metal and Flesh quest the has to be completed in the raid on the first page. Crucible and patrol are easy. Also, normal raid now is much easier to do thanks to the light increases that came with heroic mode. Me and my friends did a speed run and completed the entire thing without wiping in under an hour. Just look for some good people on the companion app or LFG.
Austin Kneeland it's an item you can get at the end of the raid which allows you to make the fire in the centre of felwinter peak lift you up to the inaccessible area which is blocked by gates.
I wish I could play. My tv and xbox have no power from the outlet, so.... I've been about 94 hours without being able to play, and my Hunter is still at 339 while my friends are about ten Light levels above me.

For the "Hard as Iron" quest I did the Download Complete mission on mars, I completed it in 3 minutes per run
