@@BrisaMarie THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I'm really excited to start the program, since UCLA was my top choice among the few universities I applied for! The program I'm joining is the PhD in Spanish and Portuguese (Literature track)!
My research area is Latin American literature. I know this is an interest we have in common! I remember when you were in Brazil visiting the Carolina Maria de Jesus museum. And I remember you commenting in some videos that you were also taking Spanish and Portuguese courses, if I'm not mistaken. That's amazing! I study Cuban literature, but I also love Brazilian literature!
As I'm very interested in research practices, I'm also following the videos about your post-doc journey at UCI!
Believe me, your work here on TH-cam makes all the difference to those who are pursuing a PhD career, especially as it's usually a bit of a lonely process. Please keep bringing us this wonderful content! We really appreciate it!

Idk if you answered this before, but how did you choose your masters program? I’m interested in a masters program in the humanities, but not sure how to choose which programs to apply to.

      Howdy,
Honestly, I just chose my masters because i had no idea what else to do with life, it was an ivy league institution, and it had a late application deadline. I would NOT suggest doing things how I did! While it did work out in the long run, I could have had a much better experience had I did actual research. (I just didn't know any better)
With that said, i do have this video that talks about the differences between masters programs and how to choose which kind

but if you already know what kind and are trying to narrow down to which programs this video is better!

      GOOD LUCK! You got this!
