I’ve been in the tower during OSH ops and it’s incredible watching them orchestrate this madness. I’ve only flown in once, and it’s a huge relief to get on the ground.
Loved seeing a couple of Piper Comanches coming in with the Mooney group. Seeing as how if you know the story of how the Comanche came to be it's fitting to fly in with the Mooney's.
Great landing in this video, 2 planes stood out for me #1 the purdy DC3 and the pretty little green and white tail dragger. Even the the guy in the tower made mention of it. Safe travels. Ken.
I was at my friends hanger today helping him swap batteries on his TBM avenger, and the conversation of the day was of the swarm of Mooneys that came in.
Its the most wonderful time of the year. If you love planes and live in oshkosh. Welcome everyone and i cant wait to meet some of you out on the grounds this week
Love your vids, been watching for years but I have a selfish request. Show a liitle extra on any Cessna 310's you see 😊. Up until my Dad turned 80 and we had to sell our 1969 Cessna 310P I had flow into Oshkosh with him over 10 times (Dad around 15). We miss that bird and miss flying in so if you see any cheers to you sir 😀😃. Thanks as always!!!
335th new subscriber LIKE; 5,168th fan view - been looking forward to the live-streaming, hopefully lots of it, beginning July 24th. 1:40 - holy-moly - I don't envy the ATC's job. Huge respect to y'all who put on this show & facilitate all the operations - superb!!
Please add your number:..during the mass Mooney landing sequence until time 9:10 I counted 53 aircraft landing...oh not double counting those who landed twice.
I'd like to apologize for not winning the billion dollar powerball. I was going to show up in my private 787 party jet, but it just didn't work out. I'll try again next year. 😆
It looks like there is some damage to the bottom area of the plane and possibly damage to one of the wings on the tail, I can’t remember the name of that wing though, but that is just what it looks like to me on video.
I can only imagine the radio chatter between all those Mooney pilots on the way in. "I fly a Mooney" "I'm a Mooney pilot" "Yeah, my plane is a Mooney" "I fly a Mooney"
Formation pairs landing left while individual aircraft land on right in a parallel, high frequency approach? How DO they get FAA approval for this? Normally only highly instrumented aircraft flown by pairs of well beyond basic IFR pilots approaching highly instrumented runways flying very specific procedures get to do this....and that's without the formation pair element!
This must be someone that either had a bad experience flying formation, or is just sour grapes about life. I guess you don't believe there should be more then 1 car on the highway at a time. That's formation driving inches apart.
Srsly there's a thousand people there who have never seen anything but a passenger jet, so they feel the need to educate. But if they play either the BSS or Devotion music....🤡☠️

I've flown into a few big airshows, and it is a huge relief to get on the ground. Then you can watch everyone else land.
Loved seeing a couple of Piper Comanches coming in with the Mooney group. Seeing as how if you know the story of how the Comanche came to be it's fitting to fly in with the Mooney's.
Seeing these mass landings is cool!
As a former Mooney employee of 5 years, it did my heart good to watch that Mooney flight come in.
So many Mooneys this is insane What an amazing place
OH WOW! That mass landing is the most astonishing thing I have ever seen.
@@Rhode.9714 I kid you not that I initially thought it was some sort of time lapse loop of planes on final.
The dual landings on the spots for the next dual on finals is so cool, love Oshkosh...have fun guys.
The Mooneyites did a great job!
Never seen so many Mooneys at one time 😎
Amazing job coordinating all those aircraft landing one after another or as a group !! Got to go to this show one day !!
Over 10,000 aircraft were there this year. Absolutely incredible.
Great landing in this video, 2 planes stood out for me #1 the purdy DC3 and the pretty little green and white tail dragger. Even the the guy in the tower made mention of it. Safe travels. Ken.
Care to add the times of those planes landing in the youtube?

Thumbs up 👍 thanks for sharing the audio PA in the background as well 😎
Those Mooneys do Kerrville proud!
the mass of planes in the final... simply insane!
I so wish I could be there! I have never been, and your videos help ease the pain! Thank you! One day...

Scott Balmos flew his Vans RV-9A there today, I don’t know if you saw it, but it’s tail number is N112SB.
More, more. What a great video.........
Excellent! Now if we can just get this weather to shape up!
I know, right?!?
We need rain bad, looks like the heat dome moving east is going to jack the temps this week
Looks like George Jetson's commute to work. Wow. I didn't know they could do that.
Wish i could go. Thanks for the vids.
EXCIting stuff. Glad y'all know what your doing...

54 Mooneys is the official number for the mass arrival group

Get a 74, extra party room 😅
Did you catch N333WS? It landed at 12:14 so right after this video and before your Part 2 video… Blue Cirrus SR22
Sorry, these are all the footage we have from the day. Didn't film everything
@@AirshowStuffVideos no worries. Good stuff otherwise!
Thanks for watching!
I think the L39 Pilot enjoyed Going Around
Fantastic
Awesome video !
What happened with Maule in 21:13 tow by a J.Deere ?

He had a flat tail wheel... That's me and my friend Nate (Homebuilt Parking crew) towing it all the way down to the S. 40 parking.
Thanks Eric !
That’s me 3196S at 14:40 !
Oh wow
Sweet
Yay one of the first here! Will be there next Sat and Sun!
This is on my bucket list!! 😎
You won't be disappointed.
Are you gonna be filming all arrivals? We have a customer flying down there in a 337, would be cool to see him land!
Haha I don't think that's possible but we will be filming as much as we can. Hopefully we catch him!
It's a pity SpiceX didn't participate with its Falcon 9, it would be interesting to see its landing among others.
Awesome video as always!
Awesome video keep it up
I will be there sometime during the week
Every Mooney in the world just landed there!
Love watching this. I’m amazed at how well this is orchestrated. But, how many Mooneys are there?
There were officially 54 Mooneys in the mass arrival! Be sure to watch Part 2 for over 100 Bonanzas!

I never saw that Mooney airplanes in my life……..
nice job
EAA IS BACKKK!!!!!!
Did I hear a flight of 67 Mooney's?
How many Mooneys landed?
What’s with all the mooneys?
Somebody said hey, wouldn't it be cool if we did a mass arrival?
9:09 DC3 jumpscare
Lol, it actually jumpscared me as well.
What a gorgeous scare!
Crikey, time for 2023 already is it?
The close sequential formation landings - they were all on a VLR mission over North Korea escorting Doc and Fifi dropping leaflets.
1:39 scene from Apocalypse Now.
Top gun scales jet wash

so excided, arriving to kosh tommorow!!!
raining mooneys
Who was able to get so many Mooneys to flock together?

The Mooneys!!!
With all these people coming to Oshkosh, where do they sleep?
Some right by their planes
more and louder air controll chatter please

Looks like a scene from Tora-Tora-Tora.
The 1st 170's had 6 cylinder engines......
So it begins…
So all planes are moonies.. What's to show now? Maybe Mike's plane if he is going..
Turbulence? She blew her engine 😢 but no injuries
@@maryeckel9682 Yeah.. I saw his video about it.. Old engine it was, but glad him and his friend got off safe..
Sooooo, ALL the Mooneys in the U.S. showed up at once...
Just wait until Part 2 which includes the Bonanza mass arrival!
None of these scale ships appear to be rubber powered
Do you get hazard pay as a controller for dealing with this? 😂
So many Mooney's...
Just having to listen to the incessant yakking of the loudspeaker
guy is reason enough not to attend.
A lot of taildragger pilots that maybe....shouldn't be taildragger pilots...
My guess is they don't typically operate off of 150ft wide runways. It makes a big difference in sight picture and flare height.
should not have mass arrivals . ever
Guess it’s time to cancel AirVenture … otherwise it would easily take a month to get all the aircraft on the ground
What's your issue with "mass arrivals"?
Go to bed karen
Next it'll be get off the grass 😊
