Bought the Impress a couple of days ago, awaiting arrival - creating coffee is a bit of a process, but I think I'm looking forward to it - not the cleaning bit though!!
Cheers for that vid. As always very useful. I actually bought one of these machines because of your review and recommendation. That nice halfway house.
Thanks for the info about the carrot, it was useless, but worthy of a like. Good to see the descale process, the higher up the Sage espresso machine range you go, the more automated (and easier) this becomes; paying more makes the whole usage and ownership experience easier, even if it probably doesn't improve the taste of the resultant espresso.
Great video. I'm trying this but the wand and the hot water is not running through at all. It seems so blocked (happened very suddenly) that the water always seems to revert back to the expresso part of the machine 🤔
Hello✋. I have this type of Sage Impress machine since 9 months, and she request me till now in 9 months twice to descaling. As far I know there are two types of descaling. First, with a limestone tablet in the portafilter.A second one was what do you did it now,(as me I didn't know). I try to to clean first version but the Red light not disappeared . I scare ,I really scare until I see your video. Thanks a lot dude. You really help me 🙏👍 Now my machine is in ordinary function.
Please help! Been round the houses trying get an answer to this no water coming out of hot water SPOUT its not the main head its the water spout. Have cleaned and descaled but no change😢
Thank you for this video !! it helps a lot - very clear . 🙏 Would it be possible to ask you a question ? I would like to buy this one as a beginner home barista. For me the oracle is too expensive ( with integrated grinder) DO you think my reasoning is "correct" if 1/ i buy this one to learn for the moment .....and later i buy myself a "higher" end separate grinder . Do you think this would be a good upgrade choice with this machine ? or very messy ?? and also would this be worth it ? will it make "even better espresso" ? Thank you for your expert insight. 🙏🙏Dirk Belgium 🇧🇪
Hello Kevin Today I received my machine, everything works, but the machine does not pump water, and I cannot extract the coffee and steam the milk. What is the problem and how to solve it?
Hi, Did you put your filter in? If so remove it and see if pump starts working, if it does, you probably have a hardened filter, you need to soak your filter over night, this should do the trick. Ta Kev
Hi Kevin Great Chanel, appreciate all you videos. I’m looking to upgrade from an Nespresso machine to a true espresso machine and am thinking about the sage impress. My question is can you steam milk whilst the machine is drawing the espresso? Many thanks.
Hi Kev, nice video but I'm getting a bit lost with all these informations. Wow ! I wouldn't think that making coffee was so complex. And above all, I'm looking at many videos, and some of the youtubers are saying that the Impress Express isn't maybe a good choice if you want to make great coffee ! What ? I thought that this was the perfect machine, and I'm on the verge to get one. What do you think ? Do I have to wait a bit longer and get something else ? I don't care about dual boilers if all this is about is to make latte, I don't drink milk anyway. What do you think about the Profitec Pro 400 ? And some other youtubers are saying that having a grinder in the expresso machine is a very bad idea because of the taste and oxydation etc... is that true ? To be honest I'm lost :)
Hi Michel, The impress is a great machine for someone who just wants decent coffee fast with out having to learn the home barista skills required with other machines. Sometimes you can get information overload if you read and watch too much! Cheers Kev

Which descaling solution/powder do you use Kev , cheers

It sounds like you have a blockage of some sort, I would get in touch with support for advice.

thank you for this video! Can you maybe also do a comparison video on the Express Impress vs the Barista Pro? :)
Coming soon 😀
@@Coffee_Kev Hi there, just wondering when we'll be able to see the video for Leverpresso. Do you have a certain timeline you are working with? :)
Also looking forward to the comparison of the pro and express impress!
That spoon in the water tank, RIP headphone users. 😁😜
Thanks !👍🏻
No Problem :-)
What happens when the red light doesn’t go of??

Hi Marie, oh no! I’d get in touch with Sage support, it could be a few things, possibly a scale blockage
Would you recommend using spirit vinegar instead to descale?

Hi could you use vinegar as a substitute cleaner ?

I’m looking to upgrade from an Nespresso machine to a true espresso machine and am thinking about the sage impress. My question is can you steam milk whilst the machine is drawing the espresso?

Hi Rod,
No, you can only do that with a dual boiler machine or heat exchanger machine.
Cheers
Kev
Thanks Kev
Presumably they are in a higher price bracket?
