Thanks for sharing this video. Auburn was in the cover of Sport Illustrated that year. Something about they had great backfields and great linebackers. Everybody were excited about prospect of Tigers. Until this game.....
Auburn got lucky USC didn't roll them for 50. The offense was just learning to gel and see how they operate as an offense. Solid play calling and tenacious defense.
Once again, Auburn gets a big game at home and gets their ass handed to them on a tray, and the tray was bent! John McClain from Diehard, "I'm not the one who just got butt f-ed on national TV!"
Now this is the real USC if Carroll didn’t get USC program in trouble they would’ve continued to dominate SEC and Big10 opponents they also beat OSU easily 😂

Yep, I remeber that. It was ESPN the magazine and I believe Auburn was preseason #1. USC came to their house and shut them out.
And then the next year they went undefeated and were robbed at a chance of a rematch!!!
@@adamterry1550 Only comparison between the teams, VA Tech and USC beat VT worse.
Wrong. The Sports Illustrated CFB 03 preview had Ohio State’s Craig Krenzel on the cover and they had Auburn ranked 9th
Auburn could have kept playing this game until November and still never scored....
Pate state material

This game was the reason why Auburn never played USC in the 2004 natty
No it’s cause Oklahoma was also good that season and started off higher than Auburn.
Footage from this game was hard to find for a while. Nice to it’s finally online.
we all know why it was hard to find..

Matt Leinart’s first career start.
Latt Meinart
This game is notable as it is the day the 2004 Auburn team lost a chance to play in a National Championship.
wow good catch there but OU facing USC in the Natty didn’t make no better but at least they scored lol

In Auburn's defense, they wete playing a Pete Carroll USC team. Those PC USC teams would have rolled anybody, anywhere.
Still, I see your point.
Pete. Carrol destroyed SEC
Auburn never even got into the red zone.
Give Reggie his Heisman back button---->
Reggie tested positive for ligma

@@omegamanGXE Are you retarded?
Reggie bush only started 14 games of 39. Wow!
auburn finished 8-5 they didn't deserve that #6 ranking
And the scary thing is, Auburnwas a natty contender & SC was only beginning.
I just remember this game had a strange kickoff time. It was at like 4:00 or 5:00.
Actually it was tree fiddy
And they say auburn should have played usc in the natty the very next year yeah ok
I can’t believe I never realized how these announcers are sec homers. I know it’s cbs, but call it straight. Jerks
01:21 Auburn fans: Dem damn liberals running down da field
Now this is the real USC if Carroll didn’t get USC program in trouble they would’ve continued to dominate SEC and Big10 opponents they also beat OSU easily 😂
Pete Carroll didn’t get the USC program in trouble, Reggie Bush did
Yessir usc owns auburn
In 2004 auburn would’ve killed you
@@lilfrizzle1313 lmao yeah right. USC didn’t loose many players. The same players that whopped Auburn at their own house.
@@80s_monsterkid28 and auburn got plenty of stronger. Had the best 2 rb at the time and was unstoppable
@@lilfrizzle1313 Instead, we "Killed" Oklahoma! But Auburn didn't quite make it did they?
