I remember my buddy telling me to put as much money as you can afford on the Gators to win outright. Absolutely ridiculous that Ohio State was a touchdown favorite. Vegas got that one wrong.
This was a great Rose Bowl game! It is too bad that one team had to lose because the offences from Texas and Michigan played so well during this nail-biter.
I remember this game like it was played yesterday and I remember praying for us to win but I never imagined that Au was going to win it but Florida had a unlike Florida performance and continued to give us and the crowd so much momentum and when Damon Duval kicked the fg it looked like it was going to wide and then it hooked back in I was so happy for this win. One of the best kicks Iv seen WDE 🦅
You could tell OU was not as talented that year, but still good. Didn't know all the stuff that would follow that would lead to Switzer stepping down. But this game was crazy. I was a sr in high school that year.
That was another year that should’ve ended with a Natty, but at least we got the SEC championship. 2005, 2007, 2012, 2017, 2018 & 2023 could’ve easily been Natty years
4-0 in the last 4 years lol 6-5 michigan after they lost their whole NC winning team & yet ohio still couldnt beat Michigan. Oh and BTW michigan was also missing their best defensive & offensive players while not having a QB at the same time lol it will be 6 years since ohio has beaten Michigan come November😂😂
November 26, 2010 I'll NEVER Forget This Game. Visiting My In laws In Reno, Nevada That Night in a Bar. Watching This Game Everybody Rooting And Going CRAZY For Nevada. Probably The Most Craziest Comeback I Ever Seen In College Football.... And.... I Never Noticed The Quarterback From Nevada Was "Colin Kaepernick" Until November 19, 2012 When He Made His 1st Start For My 49ers!! And Then It HIT ME He Was The Quarterback From Nevada!!!!!!!!! 🤯🤯🤯
Myself and my roommate were stationed at Nellis AFB in Las Vegas never forget watching last 5 minutes of this game standing on Fremont Street had a TV facing street this game was on. I was so disappointed being from Marietta. Year before won good money when Dogs beat ND 17-10, in Sugar Bowl. Herschel Walker was my opion best RB history of the SEC.
Notre Dame butchered the end of game sequence as bad as a team can while still winning. Take over on downs with 21 seconds left and the other team having all 3 timeouts. Only managed to run off 13 seconds in 3 plays, failed to protect the QB on a safety causing a season-ending injury while failing to run off the remainder of the clock, then on the ensuing free kick they idiotically dribbled a squib kick that barely went 10 yards and was recovered by LSU, which didn't even manage to run off the final 3 seconds, giving LSU a final offensive play that they never should have had from across the 50-yard line.
This is the best Penn State football team ever. The 5th year seniors are arguably the finest recruiting class in Nittany Lion History. Those 5th year seniors Starters, Backup, bench warmers and practice players are ALL Penn State Legends! This class also had Rogers Alexander and Mike Zordich who played as True Freshman on the 1982 National Champions. and the Miami Hurricanes? They are the best team to not win a National Championship. Younger fans may not realize just how good the Hurricanes were, which makes it satisfying when state got the W and the National Championship. Penn State fans knew they had beaten a more than worthy opponent and would leave no question to who was number #1; as the years go by and you tube will allow us to re-watch the games I have come to recognize the greatness of the Hurricanes......they were bad ass football team that torched everyone, and it took another bad ass team to beat 'em. I certainly did not have that same feeling when the Nittany Lions beat Oregon in 1994 season...that felt like such a let down, but beating the Hurricanes that was monumental and truth be told college football has not been the same since that night in the desert. 2 Jan 1987. Shout out to the 5th year seniors.
I never did and never will consider that game an upset and I am quite sure the players themselves do not consider it an upset. They were on a mission to go undefeated play and win the National Championship...the players said as much after the '85 Orange Bowl loss leading up to the '86 season!...that was the goal and the players saw it through to the very end against an opponents as tough as any Penn State team has ever played in its entire history. It also does not escape me that the Nittany Lions played the Game the 'Penn State Way'.... Defense, Special Teams and Offense in that order.... People can say the Lions got lucky but that is and was how Penn State Lions played and won a lot of Football games under Joe Paterno, so it was no fluke to see the Lions win in that Defense, Special Teams, Offense fashion when the 80's College Football was all about high powered passing offenses in the early '80's and forward.
20 yrs ago today, USC and the Pac 12 won their last national title. And exactly 1 yr later, they would fall short in a threepeat.
Revenge time Especially for Coach's Hartline and Laurinaitis 😲🙌‼️ Go Bucks ‼️
ALWAYS a Great Day when OU loses and Baker is Put On Hush😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Why would that goof touch that punt 🤔🤦🏽♂️... Bone head play ‼️
Repeat
I honestly feel Ohio state would have won it that year if smith started
3:00 he’s got a gun
The commentators were the biggest Alabama fans I’ve ever heard
This is the Alabama Radio calling the game. So yeah...
I remember my buddy telling me to put as much money as you can afford on the Gators to win outright. Absolutely ridiculous that Ohio State was a touchdown favorite. Vegas got that one wrong.
Here after advancing to SEMI FINALS COTTON BOWL 2025 #Hookem
Hope and pray that all of Ohio’s days are John Cooper days
This was a great Rose Bowl game! It is too bad that one team had to lose because the offences from Texas and Michigan played so well during this nail-biter.
Dan Mullen was the man!
#1 Florida vs #2 Florida State
This is an extremely underrated channel, you do a hella of a job
I was at this game, absolutely amazing
Cant believe this was 20 years ago… damn
I remember this game like it was played yesterday and I remember praying for us to win but I never imagined that Au was going to win it but Florida had a unlike Florida performance and continued to give us and the crowd so much momentum and when Damon Duval kicked the fg it looked like it was going to wide and then it hooked back in I was so happy for this win. I remember some national pundit saying, in the leadup to the game, "Oregon's speed will make Ohio State's defense look like pieces of furniture".
😂😂😂
That ref was in his feelings at the end, that was definitely a td
Priest Holmes for Texas had a similar drop in the 96 OU/UT game where OU won in overtime.

It’s actually insane Florida State’s offense got shutout this game considering how many times they had chances in OU territory
Thanks for this
Ahhhhh. Those days are over. Now y’all are just your normal, average everyday program trying to get a win. Welcome back to reality bama fans

This was my first Notre Dame game after my deployment to Iraq. I was literally there with all my friends is was amazing.
That was the best team in the country with a healthy Shockley
6:18 yikes!
Watching again in 2024! Go gators! Tebow was his own dang hype man wasn't he?
Clemson sucks
Jesus loves you

Should have included the tackle for a loss by Patek, the play right before the hit on Tharp at 9:55. That was the best hit of the game highlight.
Testeverde may have suffered from color blindness, on the other hand he had a pretty good NFL career so I’m not sure 😂.
Vinny was a Great College QB and a Fine Fine Pro. He had the picks but he also played hard in that game and had his team in it to the end.
At 11:25 there is a RIDICULOUS CATCH! 😮
They should have stopped the game at halftime to save Oklahoma anymore embarrassment

Wild 4th quarter
I was at this game back in 2013.

This play cost Peyton Manning a national championship!!!!!

I was 10 years old during this game, I remember that last drive like it was yesterday. Greatest upset ever in my mind, at least in Penn St history!

Objectively, the 1994 and 1968-1969 teams were probably better, but they didn't win titles due to circumstances outside of their control.
12:56 Mark Richt’s reaction to that is like “alright, well…”
El mejor juego defensivo en la historia del College Football.
Need stoops to bring back this kind of Fire in the program!!!
Tuinei!!!
Who end here after the Lendale White story
