    The sound is almost of a living, breathing wild creature. No wonder some of us love and cherish our Supercars like pets. The modern equivalent of steam trains in the 19 th century, another machine imbued with its own character and personality.

So, Now you my internet friend seem to agree or confuse in here..? because if you ask any designers, Lamborghini engineers & workers the Miura Jota (MJ) - is / was and still remains even today only one : the one-off custom special made with unique racing parts intentionally for racing by Bob Wallace with other experts to compete in 24 hours events like Daytona & LeMans !!!... replicas were at least 10 worldwide (not sure how many survived), all of them in different specs from one to another, partially to look like (MJ) race car, some use the roof wing, others different aspects but all of them build with intention to be used for streets with factory parts and because for streets are different rules & restrictions than racing a full 24 hour event - replicas simply can not be or match the 'one-off' at anything..

      Pop Laureniu - 'wrong.'
      i PERSONALLY know the British man who built this TO SPEC using factory plans and assistance.
      a number of the original people were involved and though he used a Miura S as the base, EVERYTHING is the same as the one Bob Wallace built, tested and that died.
      though, by this it IS a replica, it IS exacting as the same vehicle.
      It took Piet years to finish and cost a LOT of money.
      love it.

    • @poplaurentiu4148
      @poplaurentiu4148 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Alastair Gardner did you watch the clip from the link i posted ? it say that after the crushed of original Miura Jotta nobody ever build a similar version.. the factory could not reproduce it since first of all was not produced in the production line it was a race car conceived by Bob with other great names (Dallara involved for the body aerodynamic and special lightweight aluminum chassis featured only on that car, + other specialists to tune and make all those custom racing parts & components sourced from Bob Wallace to work specifically for that car conceived on Research Design Special Department.. Bob wanted to enter and compete at LeMans with that one off Miura but he never make it there since he crushed.. So obviously your argument of build TO SPEC it fails since were no plans left nowhere from Miura Jotta of Bob Wallace.. even the man who worked to that specific engine say it in the clip he did not made any similar car as Bob's Wallace Jotta so I think I will believe him since it was Lamborghini engine specialist not someone from the internet who talks rubbish about fake cars..

    • @alastair77
      @alastair77 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Piet worked WITH Bob Wallace amongst others involved in the original to recreate the Jota and it cost him MILLIONS od pounds (UK Sterling.) and took years to see to this end point.
      IT IS the nearest thing to the original which sadly ended destroyed.
      cheers.
      x

    • @poplaurentiu4148
      @poplaurentiu4148 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Even so it is very hard to believe that because the man interview from the clip i posted in the link above should knew about (and in the clip he mentioned he do not remember any other similar engine to Bob Wallace).. That man was the chef engine specialist who was responsible to set, tune, calibrate and dyno-test all Lamborghini engines from all models from a period more than 48 years before miura and after up until Murcielago engines.. that was his job to tune, calibrate, set & dyno-test engines that is why he got involved and worked on Bob Wallace engine too and it say in the clip because of the different parts that particular engine could develop close to 500 bhp(for that time was very much) but for LeMans the engine require to run continuously 24 hours so because of that he de-tune the engine between 440-450 bhp.. So to resume if that would be true some wealthy person to try to replicate Bob W.- Miura Jota would be very difficult to source all racing specs and custom parts +the entire full aluminum chassis, etc..

      Miura is one of the best looking for sure yet I don't think it can be rated the best hands down,as far as performance (taking the word in its overall meaning).
      Either way it was a game changer in high end sport cars market:Miura can definitely be rated as a milestone in automotive history besides opening a new era in top sport cars world.
      At some extent it also had an impact on our social context (here in Italy) as no other sport car ever happened to have,before and afterwards its appearance on our roads.
      I'm pretty sure since 50 years up to our days every enthusiast of beautiful sport cars can't but feel thankful to Ferruccio Lamborghini, Nuccio Bertone and Marcello Gandini.

      Your comment make no sense.
      First, Jota is the letter "j" in the spanish alphabet, and since all the models of the Lambo are named after spanish bulls, it kinda makes sense to call a special version "Jota".
      Second, as i aforementioned, the right way to write it is Jota and not iota.
      Third, "Iota" is the number plate and it has nothing to do with the car.
      Four, before posting such comments without sense, do some research and inform yourself.

    This is not thw original Jota. That one was build in only 1 car by Bob Wallace and lamborghini's experience group. After a terrible car crush bob lost the Jota and it wasnt never reconditioned.

      Isn't the chassis for the original one at Lamborghini's warehouse, or has it been sold?

      was destroyed in a violent crush followed by a massive burn that destroyed entirely that single amazing prototype race car Miura Jotta of Bob Wallace the experimental department can not replicate the car again because it was build with the single purpose of Bob to get the car for Le Mans race.. the parts used to in that build were unique and too expensive for that time that is why it was not build in the factory line and it was not replicated since because they could not reproduce all those unique parts sourced by Bob..

    Guys actually it is a SIMILJOTA : fake Jota (i mean its a “original replica” not a fake in a bad way) the only real Jota was smashed in a road crash ... they are still beautiful but waaay far from the real BOB Wallace JOTA specs (from frame to the engine)...

    I know the Italians have fewer letters in their alphabet than English but it's just dawned on me they don't have a ' j ' . That's why it's spelt ' iota ' .
