Thank you for featuring Fr. Hardon. I've only very recently learned of him. He is of the same generation as my grandmother who was a member of Legion of Mary and who was already old by the time I was born but who I remember to be very prayerful and who told one of my older cousins to never ever leave the Church no matter what. I am sort of learning about that generation and glad to know of Fr. Hardon and listen to recordings of his lectures.

Could someone summarize in one small paragraph what is his take on the issue? He has a hypnotic, irritating way of talking. After listening for 15 minutes and then a little from here and there it seems that he says many correct things (Communism = bad, who prays = saved, who does not pray = lost, sin everywhere), but that was not "the essential message of Fátima". The essential message and the reason why one needs to know everything else that was said was that the Church apostatized under duress in late October 1958. This is why the Rosary is so important, because one's salvation depends on it. Not because praying it would somehow fix the political mess the Church and the world have become, as all the apostates and false prophets would have you believe.
@Cognitive Dissonance, what I know about the real message of Fátima, it is that the Church would apostatize. It would do this through a revolution which, like Communism and all these other abominations, would celebrate humanity not as cattle but as inherently holy. Just like the documents of Vatican II and the encyclicals of John Paul II do. The Church would, after the revolution, mirror the Communist International, with bishops as leaders of their individual soviets and pope as the great secretary. All this in the name of love, joy, the people and human flourishing. This is why I consider Fr. Hardon a dud whose sole purpose here seems to be to reduce the message of Fátima from its real meaning into some kind of general admonition against bad things.
You seem to be making up your own story regarding Fatima , then contrast your fantasy with the rock solid presentation of a great theologian then declare him a dud . What’s missing in your declaration is any reference to the Fatima message that would support your story .
Loretta Murray The real think Lucy died before 1960 she was taken out in a plot by some evil people who didn’t want her praying the rosary every day because it was stopping their plans to take over the church! Thank you for featuring Fr. Hardon. I've only very recently learned of him. He is of the same generation as my grandmother who was a member of Legion of Mary and who was already old by the time I was born but who I remember to be very prayerful and who told one of my older cousins to never ever leave the Church no matter what. I am sort of learning about that generation and glad to know of Fr. Hardon and listen to recordings of his lectures.

Jesus himself when He wants to come down to Earth through Her . Jesus will ask Her permission, when Mother Mary say Your Will Be Done Unto Me according to Your Words. And than the Holy Spirt over shadowed Her. Mother Mary gave you Permission.
I love to share with all Brothers & Sisters my experience and what She said to me Many of my Children pray the Rosary buy do not know how to Pray. She Our Mother Mary teach me and ask me to give all her Children and to Help and Safe Souls.

Could someone summarize in one small paragraph what is his take on the issue? He has a hypnotic, irritating way of talking. After listening for 15 minutes and then a little from here and there it seems that he says many correct things (Communism = bad, who prays = saved, who does not pray = lost, sin everywhere), but that was not "the essential message of Fátima". The essential message and the reason why one needs to know everything else that was said was that the Church apostatized under duress in late October 1958. This is why the Rosary is so important, because one's salvation depends on it. Not because praying it would somehow fix the political mess the Church and the world have become, as all the apostates and false prophets would have you believe.
@Cognitive Dissonance, what I know about the real message of Fátima, it is that the Church would apostatize. It would do this through a revolution which, like Communism and all these other abominations, would celebrate humanity not as cattle but as inherently holy. Just like the documents of Vatican II and the encyclicals of John Paul II do. The Church would, after the revolution, mirror the Communist International, with bishops as leaders of their individual soviets and pope as the great secretary. All this in the name of love, joy, the people and human flourishing. This is why I consider Fr. Hardon a dud whose sole purpose here seems to be to reduce the message of Fátima from its real meaning into some kind of general admonition against bad things.
You seem to be making up your own story regarding Fatima , then contrast your fantasy with the rock solid presentation of a great theologian then declare him a dud . What’s missing in your declaration is any reference to the Fatima message that would support your story .
