I can personally attest to the rosary. I was baptized Catholic but when parents divorced, that was really the end. From 8 to 38, never went to confession, mass etc. Didn't even register on the radar. Two years ago, when getting a good job and making money finally, I decided to pick up a plastic rosary I had recieved for first communion 30 years ago to say thank you. I taught my self to pray the intro prayers and one decade. The reaction was immediate. Strange things happened, unpleasant dreams, etc. It felt likely something evil was being chased out of my life. I kept praying 5 decades everyday. Soon, I wanted to go to confession. First one in 30 years. Then soon, wanted to start going to mass, then soon I wanted to be invested in the brown scapular. Next month I'm making my confirmation. It wasn't a logical thing where I said I should do this. It was more like someone was leading me by the hand to do it. It needed to be done. It has been a good experience and very positive. I didn't have to change who I was as a person. Just work on being the person I'm supposed to be, lead a better life and get rid of vices. 20 min a day of the rosary. Confession a few times a month and mass every week. Once I got my schedule in order, it didn't seem like it was much to ask I would reccomend the rosary to anyone.

Jeff, bro my situation is similar. I was raised Catholic and went to Catholic school from K-10th grade. But I didn’t really take Catholicism seriously. And when I went to college, my faith was the last thing I worried about. When I got in the Army, it was like a thing from my past and I honestly just sunk deeper and deeper in sin. Sin was so intertwined in my life that I was a complete slave to sin. Well about 2 years ago, I was probably at one of the lowest points in my life (suicidal, alcoholic, obsessed to gambling, hated everyone and everything, and the list goes on and on). Well one day I was in the kitchen and randomly out of the blue, I had an extreme pull to get a Rosary. Literally out of nowhere this thought came to me and it was such a strong thought I couldn’t shake it. So I finally decided to get one. Keep in mind I don’t remember ever praying a Rosary. So when it arrived, I had to research how to pray it and decided I would pray some everyday. It started with a couple decades every other day, then everyday, then 3 decades and so on. And what really hit me to completely change my life was meditating on the sorrowful mysteries. It fully made me realize how horrible I truly was for living such a selfish and disgusting life and for the first time in my life I felt true sorrow for my sins, like real contrition, which I had never had before. And I decided to live a fully Catholic life. So I went to do a general confession, started going to mass every time I could (I had to get my marriage convalidated before I could receive the Most Holy Eucharist, which I did on July 12th 2021), go to adoration…basically I turned my life around, turned away from mortal sin and still working super hard not to venial sin, and working super hard on virtues, and I have never been so happy in my life. God is so amazing. The Rosary is so amazing, I try to talk about it anytime I see a door open to bring it up, even to my non Catholic friends. I am up to a full 15 decade Rosary a day (some days it’s tough and I try but I won’t sacrifice quality for quantity so there are days I only get 2 Rosaries complete: sorrowful and whatever the mystery of the day is). But God, through Jesus, through the Blessed Virgin Mary through the Most Holy Rosary, have brought me to love them so much and to do my absolute best to live a holy Catholic life. I still have a long way to go but I am giving my all and truly fighting and its only possible through getting the sacraments on a regular basis (confession weekly, no more than once every 2 weeks, Mass obviously on Sunday and any day I can), weekly adoration, daily Rosary and other prayers (Chaplet of divine mercy, 7 sorrows devotion), daily meditation, and so on.
But yes super stoked to hear your story. I tell my reversion story a lot to plant the seeds of praying the Rosary. Especially people who knew me before my reversion, it makes it easier for them to understand what I was and what I am trying to do now and it makes it easier to talk to them about the Rosary. God bless bro and keep praying and keep talking to people about the Rosary

When we pray the Holy Rosary with devotion, Our Blessed Mother comes to us and
she does not come alone She comes with Angels and not just a few but Legions of
Angels. And since Mary's Immaculate Heart is fused to Jesus' Sacred Heart, Jesus
comes with Her, and since Jesus is the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity,
the Blessed Trinity comes with Her and since the Blessed Trinity is with Our Blessed
Mother the Whole Heavenly Court of Saints is with Our Blessed Mother!
So it is a Wonder that the Holy Rosary is such a Powerful Prayer and Weapon against
evil and devils flee from anyone who prays it! Fr. Amorth

@Curtis Jones This is what you've learned from Love Itself? Jesus spent the last bit of his mortal life in order to save us. Be very careful of how you address the Lady He chose to give Him a human body.
Jesus received His humanity from Mary alone. If you accuse Mary as being a sinner, then do not forget that the sinfulness would have been passed down to Our Lord!
      God be with you,

Absolutely beautiful, well said and true! The Rosary is like the repetitive and continuous drop of water that falls on a hard rock, leaving a permanent mark on the rock. In the similar way, the powerful graces of the Rosary bestowed by our Lord, and given to our beloved mother to give to us, will also leave a permanent mark on our stony hearts. We will surely see and feel the effects of the Rosary in our soul with time if we are consistent.

Interesting that Timothy didn’t say sufficient, but useful. Why would that be? If the scriptures were all that one needed, then surely Jesus would write it and give it to people, but he never did that. He never gave even the canon of the scriptures, and never focused on the list of the books that are scriptures even when in his time he was challenged by various Jewish sects and each regarded different list of books as scriptures. When he argued with different sects using scriptures, he only argued out of the scriptures that the particular sect regarded as scriptures. He could have said, hey you, you are missing books in your scriptures. He never did this.

Praying the Rosary 📿 also helps people who are suffering under depression. They feel much
better afterwards. No need for medication.
I myself was once verbally attacked in a most viscious way while I was praying the Rosary. This person walked out of the house right after
attacking me, got into his car and had an
accident with his vehicle. The next day he had
a heart attack. He survived both incidents, however, I was wondering if there were going
to be consequences for him right after he had left the house. I had been holding my Rosary in my hands during his attack. A true story. 🙏

That first one is the most important of the Rosary's benefits and of Our Lady's promises to Alanus de Rupe but sometimes we pray for things that aren't according to the will of God. Sometimes I think that the way these promises are presented when certain priests preach on them make them sound very self interested. Like Ooh I get this and that if I just pray this thing but that isn't holiness. My own personal opinion is if we really pray the Rosary, and really meditate on its Mysteries, then there is an interior change and we begin to pray less for self-interested things, sometimes self-interested things that seem very holy but are self-interested nonetheless, and more according to the Will of God as our Blessed Mother always did. Maybe we won't see them answered in our lifetimes but they will be answered.

@Jane Raybow - First, may I suggest you read Father Don Calloway's book, Champions of the Rosary. It includes stories of widespread heresies that were overcome, and great battles fought and won, through praying the Holy Rosary.
Actually I can share a conversion story-- my own-- that I believe resulted from praying the Divine Mercy chaplet.
For no real reason, perhaps simply out of curiosity, I wandered into a wonderful religious goods shop (sadly now closed) and browsed all afternoon. I did this 2 or 3 times and the shop owners didn't mind. It was the beginning of my return to the Church. I bought the first Rosary I had owned in many years, St. Faustina's Diary, and a few other items.
I memorized the Chaplet and began praying it at the end of each work day while waiting for the bus. I DIDN'T KNOW WHY, I just felt led to do this. And even praying it thoughtfully takes very little time.
It took several years but eventually on a family visit I went to an event that included an hour of Eucharistic Adoration. On returning home I became almost obsessed with finding a Project Rachel retreat. I signed up and attended.
I had been away from the Church for 42 years.
(Some traditional Catholics are suspicious of the Divine Mercy theology because modernists misunderstand it. Trads often assume it is equivalent to the Protestant false doctrine of "once, for all", and also question it because John Paul II promoted it. IT IS NOT A HERESY. It merely reassures us that Jesus will forgive us, will forgive anything, IF WE BUT TURN TO HIM through the Sacrament of Confession. So many people are alienated from God and from the Catholic church, but for some reason never think to just turn to Jesus for help, or ask another Catholic for advice.)
I hope this may be some help.

Well I’m from another denomination and I heard it. I believe that God keeps his promises but I don’t believe he ever promised to grant the request of anyone who prays a specific prayer or wears a particular piece of clothing or jewelry. God is the only one who is truly omnipotent and no one (including Mary and the saints) can force him to do anything. This sermon portrays God as a vending machine. We do the proper prayers and rituals and He gives us whatever we want. This conflicts the Bible and the historic teaching of the church.

@@mariam5585 Both devotions involve a promise of salvation. Just like the Hail Mary and the Our Father are ultimately directed to God, since Mary is the Mediatrix of all grace. It's pretty much impossible to get a serious answer out of the apparition crowd because they usually have no theological formation. Charismatics run primarily on emotion, divorced from reason. Private apparitions involve human faith, NOT divine faith. The same reason why the CCC pastors at my parish are pushing (expensive) trips to those hucksters in Medjugorje. Revolting. If you believe every apparition (of even canonized saints) you'll soon be in trouble. Your prayer life will soon take on the elements of superstition which goes like this: If I do X, then God will do Y.
The problem is that God, more often than not, doesn't do "Y.' Not even for Jesus Christ himself praying over Jerusalem. Take Sister Faustina's "Divine Mercy." Therein her apparitions describe baptizing a Jewish woman (who has never indicated the slightest wish to become a Catholic) in a coma and watching her ascending into heaven after she dies. She falls asleep Jewish, likely averse to the Catholic faith because all of her relatives were, and wakes up in heaven a Catholic - probably wondering how she got there. Faustina also asserts something like the condemned 'Final Option' theory whereby, when the person dies the Lord gives them a choice of where they want to go. What gospel is that out of? (That probably explains why her works were originally condemned.) Here we have a priest telling us that whatever we ask for in the rosary will be given to us. He should know better than that.

@@magaman6353 I have to say your reply surprised me as my comment was a clarification about the two devotions, not a response to any other part of your comment. Most of the exorsists, including Fr. Chad Ripperger, encourage these devotions. If you wish for the reasoning behind their support you will have to investigate on your own. Fr. Ripperger said in these days of chastisement we will see overreactions (such as your diatribe to my simple clarification) and we will see large problems in our church (including the priesthood). Rather than using me as a verbal punching bag for your personal vexations, you should pray. You can use whatever method you deem fit since you seem to be frustrated with the level of training in theology of the priests and the laity around your area (and indeed around the globe), and thus you must be the most trust worthy source. I have seen and also note some of the problems you mentioned. Yet, when I believe errors are being perpetuated I pray and allow the pain in my heart to draw me closer to our Lord. I do NOT go around insulting others, for I always remind myself, "there but for the grace of God go I" (Dr. Peter Breggins). This life will be full of confusion, disagreements, and division, but we must pray we do not add to it. I only spoke to what I knew in my comment. I hope you find good spiritual counsel to answer any of your other questions and concerns, for I also am one of those laity you speak of that is not able to argue theology well. @@magaman6353 You never stated any theological fact. You just vented and when I pointed that out you were unable to appropriately analyze your actions without emotion, which as you say is best. Also, you lump me into an "apparition crowd", which is quite presumptuous and unnecessary for your goal of dialogue (dialogue on the matter was not my goal, it was just to make a clarification, especially for others who may read your original comment). You make statments that involve some religious jargon and call that theology. In my original comment I just wanted to clarify what the devotions were in case anybody was confused because your comment made it seem like both devotions were to Mary. All I want is for people who are interested to have the information they need to investigate for themselves. These devotions are not rejected by the Church nor are they required, thus people can investigate and decide for themselves. And I do agree with Fr. Ripperger that we are headed for troubling times and prepare myself and my family as much as I am financially able, but Fr. Ripperger is not infallible, so I prepare in my own way.
Why do you care what people like me and other priests do anyways? If you cared about the state of the Church or possibly our souls would it not be better to pray for us, instead of telling us how useless and stupid we are? Again, you are venting rather than having a rational non emotive conversation. Someone who is not emotional does not have to arbitrarily put people into a subgroup and make presumptions. Your supposed goal is contrary to your approach. Athanasius Schneider always respectfully makes his concerns known, but seems to avoid making presumptions about others. This conversation just lets me know I have to pray for the gift of counsel and right judgment. That is all I can do, as I said I know my place is to NOT argue theology. As I said I unfortunately do not know theology well enough.

It's like me saying get ANYTHING in a store and I'll pay. And when you come back with something I say. No I won't pay for that because it's not what I want to get you. I understand WHY he won't. But what gets me Is WHAT He says and does are NOT the same but opposite. To me that is a huge problem from the literal god of all things

My opinion , dont worry about any problems with the Vatican leave that to God, be as close to God in your prayer life as you can be and the rosary is a great spiritual platform. Keep it simple pray the rosary every day go to mass and watch your life improve. I dont think you have to be catholic to say the rosary.

Don’t let that deter you. I don’t agree with most of our elected US officials either, but am still a patriotic American. Same with the church.

Paul's letter to the Corinthians like most of the bible was directed only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Israel is a blood line...see Genos..in Greek.
Gentiles means nations, with a racial connotation. Imagine being so intelligent, yet being such a deceiver. Why? Because YOU think universal salvation is just. But does God? No. Have you read about how Judah's children were treated - from his unholy union with the wife of a foreign god? And foreign flesh?
Bastards shall not enter the congregation..not EVEN past the tenth generation shall they enter.
End catholic universalism that is destroying Europe.
Study the bible. Study the mistranslations. God is calling his sheep. Do you hear him?
Research the work of Clifton Emaheiser..Pastor Comparet.
Praise Yahweh, the God of true Israel...white European peoples.

When you pray do not keep babbling like the pagans for they think that they're will be heard because of their many words,do not be like them, for the father knows what you need before you ask him

Exactly. The rosary is a meditation on the life of Christ whilst reciting the music of the gospel.

@@skully1030 the our father and hail Mary's are recitation of scripture. This scripture is like soft music in the background. During each decade of the rosary one meditates on an aspect of Christ's life. For example today I prayed the 5 sorrowful mysteries: the agony in the garden, the scourging at the pillar, crowning with thorns, way of the cross, and the crucifixion. The point of the rosary is to grow closer to Christ, to conform oneself to his will, and reject the temptations and distractions of the world.
