    Maybe the pressure in piggyback dropped because you screwed the pump in … that happen also with öhlins …. There is so little air in the progressive chamber that when you screw on pump it drops 30 psi

      This happens will all shocks and forks. The hose of the pump gets pressurized, and the smaller the volume of the air chamber, the more pressure will decrease.
      You can actually avoid this by not screwing on the pump all the way, just so much that it is air tight, but not yet activating the valve itself. Then you can pump up the hose to about the pressure you expect to see, and only then screw on the pump fully to activate the valve and equalize the pressure.

    I love when people share cheap stuff in case something goes wrong but honnestly i think that the Mazzorchi Bomber CR coil shock should be better and similar price. Really a good video ! I loved the one your compare the Fox X2 pre 2024 and the 2024 one .. really impressive

      The Marzocchi Bomber shock is not compatible with the Kenevo. They actually shipped the Kenevo with it I think in the 2020 Comp model, but apparently it broke too often so they replaced it with an air shock for 2021.
      Fox also has made a dedicated list of compatible coil shocks for bikes with long yokes/struts (can't link it here because of spam detection). They basically limit the yoke length to 72mm for a shock with 60-65mm stroke. And the Kenevo has a ~155mm yoke.

    I know that Suntour and Dvo uses the same manufacturer. Both great shocks. IMO DNM is the best bang for your buck, then problem is that my newer bike doesn't have the right size.

    Did you play around with the ifp pressure? What are you experiencing? I just got mine and rode it yesterday for the first time. So far I am very pleased but I came from a hardtail, so no idea how it should feel like 😅
    Yesterday I pumped it to 180 psi, but probably drop a lot during disconnecting. During ridding, I bottomed it out on some trails 🤯 today I pumped it up to 200 psi and made sure it stays there ( in reality I pumped it to 250 and noticed it loses 50 psi during disconnect ) and I cranked the srpingdex from 290 to 300

    That is very good timing. I just broke my DVO Topaz T3 Air for the second (third) time due to wear on the inner damper shaft because of that stupid long yoke and the side load stress it causes and am now looking for not too expensive options to replace it with. And a 14mm steel shaft sounds pretty promising.

    i hope you can help me again: I weight 75kg and several online spring calculator suggest somewhere from 300 to 350 lbs. I slapped on a sprindex 290 - 320 (23% Sag) and a 340-370 lbs (18% Sag) and i can push the rubber bumper all the way to the bottom while hard bouncing in the parking lot. I can NOT do a bunny hop! 400 for a shock is really expensive. I don't get how bike component manufacturers think these are fair prices. The components are SO simple. If I had a reasonable workshop I could make one myself.
    I stick to second hand parts and service where needed.. my 26 inch 2006 S-Works Enduro frame is still going strong with modern components and my Fox Talas 36 still lives to this day, as does my DHX air 5.0.

    • @OtterMTBtech
      @OtterMTBtech  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      So they’re made under the same roof. DVO essentially rents the Sun tours machines to cast the shocks, since the machine’s cost millions of dollars each.
      Could be wrong here, I assume they as in DvO license Suntour the shock body of like the Jade, Suntour does her own magic inside of it and sells from there.
      Super disappointing that DVO does not make a steel stanchion Jade or I would have one.
      If you look at a 1999 Toyota Camry and a 1999 Lexus ES 300 they’re the same exact body the Lexus just has more features and is a better car Lexus would be the the DVO
