I love I just got it today as I am writing this as I am writing this I have it in my lap and it is so cute it can go i low light conditions and perfect with zebra howorthia
Love that it surprises me with beauty even after being ignored. Mine came up with new rhizome with new white coloring. I separated it and have a unique new plant.
Congratulations on the new rhizome. I had this one for 4 years before it produced 2 rhizomes during the same summer. I am impatiently waiting for more lol.
Thanks Yulissa (sorry for the spelling) Your video is so informative. I love how you explain things. I have watched maaany videos about the care of snake plant but I have skip in between videos or move on but yours is easy to understand and your voice is so sweet. 🤩
Just watched this cause I was worried about my moonshine…thank you for the video..thought mine was loosing color..but you said older leaves get darker 😮💨..thank you again
Thank you so much for doing these houseplant videos. I'm retired now and have the time to care for plants. Do you know what plants are okay to have around cats? You are very informative. Thank you.
I am not ready to call this plant a dracaena lol. It will always be a sansevieria/mother in laws tongue/snake plant. I purchased a moonshine some years back and I over watered it. It lived in a pot that had no drainage holes (oh what a shame). It was growing nicely and I got cocky. I was given one a few months back and now I am so afraid of over watering it, I have severely under watered it to the point the leaves have gotten wrinkled b/c it needed water. I am getting better and this video is VERY HELPFUL!! I am dumbfounded at the beauty of your plant after 5 years. It looks amazing and you clearly know what you are doing. GOOD JOB :-) Thanks for sharing.
Charlene! 🤗You are such a sweetheart thank you so much! 💚 This one has been crowned a legend among my plants. I am almost embarrassed that I called it a dracaena, attempting to be politically correct. 😂 aww your newbie will do great. I am so happy this video was very helpful.

@@greenmable475 You are too. I appreciate your channel. You along with some select channels are my consistent channels that I watch and look forward to seeing a new video coming out. Did I tell you I am loving your hair?
I love the Moonshine, and I finally got one just 2 weeks ago. What’s the name of the one in the terracotta pot? That’s beautiful. If you leaf propagate, you will get the original variety.
I recently got a snake plant. It came in a 4 inch pot. Is it alright to report it in a 8 inch self watering pot or should I use something smaller? Thanks in advance. Love your channel.
Thank you 💚The snake plant should be ok going from a 4in to 8in pot. I moved this plant, the moonshine from the 6in original to this 9in pot in 2016 and have not repotted it since, 6 years later and it is still doing great in this same pot (in the video). It may be due soon lol.
Hey how you doing my name is Tamika and I have to snake plants that I have been caring for for the past year-and-a-half now all of a sudden they have started falling and easily coming apart my question is what is the best soil also I still have the leaves from the plant and want to know what is the best soil to use to propagate them without dye I let them dry out or is it best for me to put them in water because I don't want to throw them away
When the mother produced the babies on her own limit depending other factors. She will stop have a baby. If you don’t want to separate them you can cut the rhizome between babies and mother if you can see without taking out from the pot because sometime the rhizome is above the surface. You can keep them grow together in the same pot till the babies big to separate. When the mother think she doesn’t has the baby attach ether she will produce more babies. If you not separate the babies from the mother they will taking more nutrients from the mother just compared with the real human. I have whale fin very healthy till one day the leaves getting thin and folding. I check everything is nothing that I missing for her but when I take her out from the pot to check the root I find out she has the baby. That why all the water and nutrients go to the baby. I have to feed her more. Now she back to normal

You will love having a snake plant. Thank you so much Sherifa!! 💚
I notice that snake plants like to be in a compact pot. They prefer to be “crowded.” Have you noticed that too?
Yes, I have. It is fascinating. 💚

Hi Tamika! Thanks for watching. Cactus/palm soil from any popular soil brand should work well. That is what I use for my snake plants.
@@greenmable475 thanks
Good guide. Thumbs up from a fellow creator 😅

You should put him in a larger pot now. 🤷🏻♀️
