I recently bought a snake plant online from a plant company and it came with aphids! Bad mistake in purchasing it online. I put a plastic bag over the dirt and pulled out the entire plant from the roots. Threw out the dirt and washed the snake plant with insecticidal soap and put it into a small jar with water and some roots already started sprouting! I also have two leaf cuttings. Thank you for sharing your plant tips!🪴
I've got 2 big snakeplants. The motherplat was my grandfather's and he got his plant about 70 years ago. He splited the plant so my parents got 2. 25 years ago I got one of them. Dad passed away last year, mum 10 years ago so now I have both of them. They are flowering every year. Dad's was flowering just before he passed away. He laid in the sofa in the evenings just to feel the wonderful smelling.

@@albertomanuel3366I love stories like this!! I have my grandmothers Christmas cactus, it’s died & came back a few times but she’s still kicking! It’s been 23 years this year!!!
That’s wonderful!
I rescued one that you said to get rid of at the start it's not worth the headache 😂. I chopped it all off. It's starting to grow again in my bathroom. 💛💚
I said it's not worth the headache because in order to rescue it you may have to do what you did and chop it all off. Most would not like to do this and if not treated correctly the disease may still be present. Also, if you pay good money for a plant we should always get a healthy plant. Thanks for watching and commenting. Good luck.

My snake plant is getting thin. Is that too much water? It's in a self watering pot. I water and let it completely dry out before watering again.
Help!
I love "saving" troubled plants but it does require a bit of commitment. It can be very rewarding to see them from near death to thriving.

My plant grow so big what can I do sir,(but I don't like to splitting plant).can I cut some branches.(is it good or not)
By big, do you mean tall or full? Is it a snake plant?
Yes tall and some of new snake plant also grow in that same pot..I need to less it but don't to do cut it.what can I do sir
Snake plant is 4 years old. There is a main one and a baby one. The big one looks like it’s dying but the baby one looks great. Should I repot and take out the older one? Is it just at the end of its lifecycle? It has two good leaves out of 6 and the others are yellowing and drying out
Can someone tell me if it will help the plant focus energy on new growth if I cut the flower stalks before they get big and bloom?
Fabulous!! 🎉
Thank you! 😊
What size of pine bark chunks do you normally use for your plants? And do you recommend using a smaller chunks size if the plant is small like 2-4 inches? Thanks for your help. I have really gotten a lot of help from your channel this summer. I really appreciate it!
i use anywhere from 3/8' pine bark to 3/4". And yes, I tend to use the smaller size on my plants in small containers. So glad to hear that the channel has helped you. That's what it's about. Thanks for watching my channel. Very much appreciated.
After the soil had completely dry, did you wait for a few days until they showed the thirsty sign before watering? Or you water them right away?
I water them when the soil is 100% dry.
Thank you, helpful:)🦚

I have kept my snake plants in rain there are baby plants coming with general pot o mix soil plants are healthy. Root rot is due to poor drainage.

Where do you get the clear pots? What sizes would you recommend?
I have them on my website. Www.MonstroFarm.com. Get a size that’s just a little bigger than the pot your plants are in if repotting. Good luck.

In my country they grow everywhere 🇹🇹
The moisture meter shown in the video is a really bad quality meter!! i don't advise to buy this one, better by the original Skyard meter.
My neighbor gave me a cutting she told me it will grow in water I had it for a month but it not growing and I am doing something wrong
Have never ever seen clear pots.
❤️
My.contry it grow wild cut an throw
Why do they always rot for me
More than likely too much water. Let the soil dry out completely amd then give them another week or two before you water them. Let me know if that helps.

My snake plant was miserable inside. It started thriving after I placed it outside 🪴
🥹 I purchased two snake plants last month. I'm willing to see if outdoors may help them thrive.
