I have a couple of different S. kirkii in my collection. The original, an Sansevieria kirkii pulchra, I ordered from Thailand in the late 1990s. Took over a month to arrive and all that was alive was one leaf. I potted it and waited. After 2 years it was a solitary leaf and I was about to dispose of it when it developed a small rosette plant. Very pretty, and again nothing happened for years. Then about 5 or 6 years ago, the plant began producing large leaves from beneath the soil (the adult form of the plant). Since then it's been so prolific that I have divided it into four plants, two of the large-leafed "mature" forms, and two plants in the rosette form (juvenile stage). The adults are getting to be quite large and I've grown to really love them. Recently got a S. kirkii "Coppertone" that is a real beauty and is worth adding to your collection for the leaf color alone!
I love Sanseveria so much! I am liking the night owl, thanks for showing yours, I'm happy to see what it will do. And the Whitney is now on my list! My favorite of my collection so far is the Black Coral
Wow! I have a lancia, too! It was just 4 leaves and about a month later it has 2 lil babies poking up through the soil. I can't wait to get more sansaverias. I really feel like they are very underrated.
Thank you for helping me identify “whale fin” !! These plants are a relief to grow because they are fairly easy and dependable compared to violets, which I’ve had several, collections and they always kak when I go on vacation! Regular snake plant is actually invasive here in southern florida.
Thanks so much for sharing your lovely collection. I have about 25 Sansevierias now and love seeing what other folks have. Please repeat if you add a few more! Meanwhile I have to find a Coppertone and Whitney! Thanks again and happy growing!

I think I made a big mistake by watching this video 😢, because now I feel like I really need to have all those beauties. 😂
I have a soft spot on my whale fin edge. Should I cut it out or leave it. It doesn't seem to be getting bigger?
I would leave it, especially if it isn't getting bigger. Still treat with neem oil.
@@WanderingWhittles you think it might be a bug that did it? That's why the neem oil? Thank you
@@sharonrichardson6563 Could be a bug or fungus. It is hard to know without seeing it. Either way, the neem oil will help with both.
Where can I buy awesome SANSEVIERIAS, having a hard time finding a coppertone, and the bat sansevieria
Have you tried Etsy? That is where I found my Coppertone.
