I have the sleeve too. After surgery I was 311 & went down to 211. I then started eating what I wanted & I worked my way up to 270 and stayed there.. My son went on keto & got me to join him. The first 50 pounds came off in less than 2 months...now I'm stuck @ 220-222. Gonna try fasting.
Great tips! Love your candor. I've been doing keto for 2 1/2 years (since Nov. 1st, 2017). I started it more to eat healthier. I have lost weight, but I haven't a clue how much, because I don't own a scale. Never have. I'm quite tall and just go by how my clothes fit. I've dropped 3 1/2 sizes - but that's not why I went keto. The health benefits are awesome! I'm nearly 70, so I suspect my age and lack of activity might be the reason it's taken so long to lose weight - but I'm good with that. As I said, losing weight wasn't my intent - it was a side effect. I could be wrong, but I think eating keto simply adjusts your body type to its perfection. I've maintained a 20 carb max for the most part. Not a sweets person, so it wasn't hard to switch to keto. Bread was my issue - do love it, but I have it on occasion, so I don't feel deprived!
I've started doing 36-hour fast Monday Wednesday and Friday. It's definitely helped the weight loss. Right now my blood sugar is 74, my ketones are 3.0.
I haven't lost much weight after the first 2 months and then I stuck at the same weight. Now it's 5th month, and I'm looking for IF to make sure I lost some more.
Actually, protein raise your insulin, but don't raise your blood sugar after meal. Egg fast is lacking some nutrients: vitamin K, vitamin B3, calcium, iron, manganese. You could do one week nutrient-refeed with some kale/spinach and 100-200g of liver to cover all nutrients. Also, add some yeasts like nutritional yeasts to eggs for B-Complex vitamins.
I just purchased the Cosori Air Fryer(stainless steel model on sale now) based on your review-THANKS! Have you heard of the Snake Diet?! Just fast intermittently and drink "snake juice" for at least 24-48hrs. I lost 7 pounds in one week. But don't watch the Snake Diet guy on youtube -- he's too rude and vulgar, but he has a point. Don't waste your money on prepackaged snake juice from amazon; make your own with 1 tsp baking soda, 1/2 tsp Himalayan pink salt, 1 tsp potassium chloride("No Salt"), mix in 2L water (drink as much as you want, but no food for at least 24-48hrs; then eat a big meal mostly meat and veggies) --THEN go back on another 24-48hrs fast and repeat. It's the salts that keep you going without you thinking you're going to pass out with out eating. I know it's extreme, but it really works if you have the self discipline! I can get back into my size 34 jeans now! BTW: I LOVE YOUR HAIR!
I apologize for being too forward. Your Keto diet suggestion is very good. My snake diet suggestion isn't for people with medical conditions, and everyone should consult their Dr/medical professional before starting any of these diets.

I tried going to your web pages, but the advertising/pop ups make it almost impossible to read.
Get AdBlock Plus to avoid that.
