@@barbaramukapuli6405 I don’t think Francesca wanted to be shared with the world. She is very much an introvert that seems to enjoy solitary moments in silence or just playing the piano for her. She never learned those talents for the world but for herself. I’m the same I have things I’m good at but they are for me if I were to share them it’s no longer mine.
@@heavenlyree You are certainly right about Franziscas characterization but then Lady D's pointing out her skills to the Queen would not make any sense. Are they not looking for the next diamond? And isn't the purpose of this sort of exposure to find a match for her in society?

I like how Lady Danbury tapped her cane on the ground twice while looking at Francesca in a way saying " Well done you quiet introverted pianist!🥰" Lady Danbury is such a hype woman.
Well she also planned for the queen to see her. She told Francesca about the piano & then made the queen take a walk with her & purposely took the queen right past the room Francesca was playing in. Mostly Mrs.Danburry loves choosing the diamond of the season but making the queen think it was her choice.
@@kaitlynlloyd9985Danbury seems to just love seeing people happy and successful. She gets involved here because Francesca was struggling. Same with Daphne. She enjoys the meddling but she really does seem to care to help young people she thinks have potential.
She’s a cringe annoying and intrusive person. She pokes her nose everywhere especially when she scolds to Duke, Simon, to pursue Daphne AFTER he sees her smiling and flirting with the prince. Her advice is awful. No genuine person ever suggests to a man to pursue a woman who doesn’t like him or is dating someone else. It doesn’t matter what the show claims Daphne feels. The principle is wrong. When a person doesn’t show interest in you, you can’t pursue them. That’s a rule.
The actions display clear intent. Feelings don’t matter when actions are clear. Her attention is elsewhere and you’re no one to mess with that. It’s bad advice. The kind no parent would ever give unless they were malicious and conniving.
Lady D is the type who doesn’t want Daphne to end up with a prince. That’s why she keeps trying to ruin it for her. She’s nosy, intrusive and wants to make everything her business when it’s certainly not. She gives the kind of advice no parent or genuine friend would give. Tries to school people, even parents on how to raise THEIR children. Shes cringe.

@@mordecaiissad8529It’s none of Lady D’s business who’s struggling or not. No one is struggling. Its unrealistic. Francesca is too gorgeous and talented to struggle. All girls find husbands irrespective of what they’re like.
Lady D gives the kind of advice genuine friends and family would never give. She interferes and pokes her nose everywhere, pretending to help people when all she wants is to control other peoples lives and get all the gossip. She’s a gossip monger. I’ve seen many people pretending to help others just to get gossip. Her charger is that type. She’s annoying as hell. The character she’s based must be a tool. I couldn’t watch her scenes. She’s cringe.

Like- shes not warm and passionate like Daphne. Shes not pressured and repressed like Anthony. Shes not lost like Benedict and Colin. Shes not repulsed by society's expectations like Eloise.
Shes just there. Unmoved by the moving world. Unfazed by the winds. She's accepted what society wants from her, and in spite of that - she's continued to develop her own sense of self that is *beyond* society.
Simply put, shes the coolest of em all.

Francesca is my favourite she is so special and precious, awkward but delightful.
It’s unrealistic because normally no one would be that awkward around frirdns they grew up with, unless there’s class differences or mistrust. Family and relatives people can despise. You can’t change family. But you can distance yourself from them. But you can choose friends and people always choose friends who make them laugh and make life worth living. It doesn’t make sense to be awkward around friends.
I think Francesca has a kind of quieter, natural kind of beauty that seems to make her shine all the more; she’s accepting of what society expects of her yet she’s still able to be her own person at the same time, which I think makes her just that much more attractive.
i think an important note to the queens admiriation of francesca is that shes playing beethoven. charlotte and george were great lovers of music, and beethoven wouldve been making huge waves in the music world around this time.
Her dress is everything and she is as sparkling as her dress is ❤❤

@@bazooka-sharks-parker Nope, all the main couples need to remain unchanged. Francesca has her happy ending but it's bittersweet for some fans (like me). Netflix can at least make it a little bit less tragic (but I cannot say how without spoilers).

They did such a good job with the casting of queen charlotte and her younger self, I can also imagine younger Charlotte making that same face before she applauses

Kinda like me. I watched the first two seasons when they came out but I wasn't planing on watching the third until I saw clips of Francesca. Though she isn't really shown much because she isn't the main character for this season, she still has a decent amount of screen time and her budding romance with Kilmartin is soooo cute. They're both introverted so seeing them just chill with each other was pretty nice.

This was such a great analysis and i feel so validated because it's like you put all my thoughts into words about the latest season! 😭 The only thing I will disagree with though, is the part about Eloise. She really IS annoying not because she's a pick me (far from it in fact). It's because she falls into this one-dimensional, white feminist trope. Where she's constantly talking about women and their position in society, but also rolling her eyes at the women around her and acting as if they're stupid to care about the things they do aka marriage and finding a suitable match. As Amy from Little Women would say: marriage is an economic proposition for a lot of these women, as well as a metric by which their value is weighed and they don't really have much of a choice in it. It's almost like trying to find a job. Plus she never checks her own privilege, never even DOES anything with that privilege. She's always complaining about how women are not allowed to talk about any other interests besides marriage and yet SHE doesn't even have any other interests of her own besides whining! There is a scene in season 3, where the other ladies of the ton are discussing about embroidery and Eloise reacts with such boredom and disdain for their topic of conversation, as if handicrafts are too silly to talk about. Lastly, she's also a bad friend to both Penelope and Cressida. She treats Pen like a sidekick and Cressida like a distraction. Hears but never actually listens to them. Never tries to even empathise with their problems in life. It took her TWO whole seasons to figure out Pen was Lady Whistledown, THAT'S how less she notices her own "best friend"!

I am not sure you will like throne of the fallen. I found her kingdom of the wicked series too heavy on explicit content and weaker on fantasy elements [and that was marketed as YA/NA]. If you are into amish stories and like mysteries/thrillers, you could try the Kate Burkholder series by Linda Castillo. I have read the first two books and enjoyed them!
