    great to see. I got a rtr c24 after watching your videos and just ordered a km1 and spare parts from wpl directly. I like how simple they are. I did your high clearance t-case mod with an old credit card as well as cutting down the hard springs by 2 coils in the front and 3 in the back, which actually lets the truck have down travel and a bit softer suspension. I'm having some kind of issue with bind in the drivetrain now after the little 180 motor popped out of the gearbox and I pushed it back in. I'm wondering if some sand is causing some issues.. Overall super impressed with cost to fun factor. I'm going to try to cobble together some kind of doubler from two 180 gearboxes just to see how good of a crawler can be made for super cheap. Thanks for the inspiration bro!

      Sounds like you like to tinker and improved things like I do. They are definitely fun and can be a good way to keep you thinking.

    Nice truck, definitely gotta get me some of that! Love the new chassis design. Are they going to make a kit version? On another note , im thinking about building a tow truck out of one of the B models. Awesome video brother 😁

      Hopefully they make a kit version. I always like the kits and they usually come with better compound tires as well.

    Do you think that motor and transmission will bolt into a C24 chassis without to much modification? That new transmission the drive shafts turn opposite of each other , or something like that. I’m going for the ground clearance.

    • @RunThatRC
      @RunThatRC  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      yes it will bolt up but you will need to also convert the front to a panhard with 3 link because the motor will be in the way. I haven't personally done it but the gearbox is definitely good for trailing around slow stuff. Ground clearance is definitely good on this gearbox and yes they are counter rotating output so no torque twist.

    Any improvements with the tires? Overall tho looks sick🔥🔥🔥

    • @RunThatRC
      @RunThatRC  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Tires are the same RTR tires from the c24-1. They do have a kit version thats softer with more grip.

    Hey man I know my comments late, but can you use the front and rear axles on this C54 on the C24 chassis? I have a friend that has a problem with his C24's axle and he wants to replace it with a new stock plastic axle, would this fit on his C24-1?

    • @RunThatRC
      @RunThatRC  หลายเดือนก่อน

      definitely will fit. They are the same spec just updated.

    I managed to hands on on the new MN128, the quality is night and day compared to WPL. MN has much better quality build, even the plastic feels tougher. Guess I need to get myself more MN from now on.

    • @RunThatRC
      @RunThatRC  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The mn128 is exactly the same as a mn86 from 2 years ago so definitely nothing new exceptthe jeep body. I have two and they are bigger scale but not as detailed as the WPL bodies. To each there own that's why we have choices. We don't all have to run the same RCs but we all can definitely get along. Specially if we really are into the hobby we should be cool with what whatever anyone likes. RC on bro!

    I guess we still don't have oil shocks, right? :( Not even like the ones on the FMS's, which come friction only from factory, but we can make them into oil-filled with the o-rings provided in their kits...

    • @RunThatRC
      @RunThatRC  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      no oil shocks but it does cost significantly less than an FMS. It's also a bigger scale so I can forgive it not having oil filled shocks. looks like it should be simple enough to find shocks that can work with this setup vs the old chassis.

      @@RunThatRC thank you so much for the input! Yes, I understand the price/product difference. It's just that seeing them take this step towards this type of shock made me expect oil-fillable ones. :) Maybe in the next version.
      It's already positive if it's easier to fit oil shocks in this chassis vs older version. 👍

      yeah hopefully they are just trying to refine a design. We will have to wait and see where WPL goes next.

      yes because of the new gearbox motor placement.

    I'm wondering if the portal axles will fit from wpl portal

    • @RunThatRC
      @RunThatRC  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The portals are gonna bolt right up. They are still using the same axles on this so it can be done.
