Wpl suspension is very basic. I changed location and size for better flexibilty. Please subscribe thanks for watching. Buy your adapters here... rover.ebay.com... rover.ebay.com...
I like the way you use bigger wires. I see lots of people using the stock or just plain ol' small wires. You loose a lot of power and make the ESC and motor hotter.
Great job! Nice looking truck! For what it's worth: I like going to my local ACE hardware store and looking through their spring collection. I'm usually able to find what I'm looking for. Merry Christmas!
If you get an adjustable 4-link you can change the angle of your axles to point them or towards the transfer case and that should take the binding out of the driveshaft however when you point your front drive shaft the way it needs to be it will mess with your steering a little
Very cool my friend I have all the wpl love that adaptor been looking for something like that myself at the moment just ordered the m n 90 d Land Rover kit.my wpl's are on my rc channel this comment is coming from my lock picking channel👍😊🎅🎄
Ive changed this setup. The front is vertical with adapter plates due to torque flex from the big motor. But with low power it may dow well still. Great travel. Lota of modding to do to these...
You can make your own 2S lithium ion pack out of two 18650 cells and it doubles the run time. 3000mah capacity. You basically never have to charge the battery because these trucks use so little power.
I'm just guessing about your soldering I have a similar problem but I think it's because you're not using flux maybe try using flux core wire or get a tray with flux paste and don't be shy to dip the contacts you're trying to solder to directly in that locks and then heat them up wait for that stuff to sizzle off and then apply your solder there are different thicknesses of solder and also different solder that melts at different temperatures so it's good to match your solder to your soldering gun all these Pro tips should help you out I like what you did with your truck with the suspension I'm trying to do the same thing and now I realize I have a new problem to deal with because I want to set my front up the same as yours but I don't want to mess with my steering or put spacers
Great advice with the driveshafts but i'm still not exactly sure which are the narrow ended type. I am about to buy some for a c24. I am going to order the metal gear transfer case (drop box/transfer case) with a 370 motor but none seem to come with drive shafts. I like the look of the Remo A7956 for 1/10 1093-ST / 1073 / SJ shafts but the ones listed for c or b24 seem very chunky on the ends. Not sure if the other type will fit as they are listed as for 1/10 scale but they might well fit. Could you link to some suitable types? Thanks. Also thinking of fitting full metal axles and wondering if i should go for the 12mm hex nut adapters/spacers or is there a good 5mm spacer available as i'm keen to do a similar shock mod. Nice work.
I am new to wpl trucks and just got a c24. I have a fee questions if someone could help me out. 1. Do I need to upgrade a metal axel kit before I can install the metal shocks? I bought an axel kit, new oil filled shocks, drive line, front bumper, new tires and rims so far. I ask because I tried to install the new shocks but they don't seem to want to mount up on the plastic axel. 2. Where in the world do I find bigger tires for this truck. I have seen them with larger tires and have checked eBay and can't find any for the wpl trucks. 3. When I tried to install the metal drive shafts they seem to slip. The plastic ones seem to have a notch inside the hole that keeps them from slipping but the metal ones seem to only rely on that little screw to keep them from slipping. Am I missing something? 4. Does anyone make a rear bumper with hitch? Can the crappy servo be upgraded and if so would I need a new controller, or reciever, special mount or would a new servo mount in place of the old cheap one? I think that's all I'm going to do on it for now then later on replace the steering components and linkage. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.
dope build!! been watching this vid back to back since i just got my c24 with some metal shocks links and metal axel kit I'm kind of stuck bc i don't know or have long enough screws or spacers to have everything line up right i want to know where i can get those long screws, and spacer you show at 13:04 to connect the link to the shock to the metal link holder any help would me much appreciated
What screws do you use for the bracket that the links connect to? I did the spacer lift for it and my stock screws aren’t long enough to keep the axle housings tight. Thanks
@@supastihl89 I'm trying to find info on those wheels but can find any would you be able to give me some measurements I'm trying to go smaller tire and and comparing
I had a few cheap ones but i recommend either 20 amp rc4wd waterproof or hobbywing 1060. HW is the best byfar even quiets motor noise but its not small
Also WPL are NOT "intricate" lol, they are as basic as RC's can possibly be! Compare these simple WPL 1/14 scale kit builds to for example the 1/35 scale Orlando Hunter Rock crawler kit & your looking at 30 times the skill, time, coordination & especially the patience involved. the 1/35 Orlando build is not only 10 times smaller & requires putting together a LOT more of the parts (u even have to hand drill ALL the holes to screw part into) but there are at least 20 times more parts to the build as well. WPL is VERY simple even for a child! (except this guy)
I said intricate not ridiculous. Lol Yes I understand but your bypassing my point. Building an RC is inherently intricate. I mean this by the comparison of most people who buy RC cars buy am assembled machine. Yes these are simple model kits with a motor to you and me and some others maybe. But the majority would find this difficult or "intricate" as i apparently put it. Thanks for the comment🤟
Just got myself the C14 and C24. Will be checking your videos on these out!

wow mt bro This is the first time I have seen such a car.😝🎅❤👍
Awesome upgrades, that things looking like a solid rig
Hell yeah Stevo getting impressive for its size. Needs the big motor for some nice slow crawling
Ur building an off road caravan with its own motor 😎

Yeah I've seen someone build a battery pack out of 6 nimh batteries like that and it ran for almost a whole day 10 hrs or more
Thanks for this great sharing & tips my friend! Liked!😁👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
extra wires for a future 6x6 project with 2x motors? Or turn the rear axle around and have 4x4 with one motor to each axle.
Excellent!👍👌🙂
Kool build
Thanks
Nice very flex.i m from malaysia
Powered trailer?
6x6 it looks like leads for another motor on the back. Good video sir. Any suggestions on links for the C24. I have adjustable and they suck!
please. what are those drive shaft ends? please........................
Amazing video!!👍🔥🔥💪💯👊🏼
Big Likes!!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🔥🔥🔥🔥
12:37 did you ever fix that clearance issue with the shocks and link where you can’t turn much and it rubs? Thanks I’d like to know
Waiting to see a big lift monster truck modification with 4WS.
Where can I get those wheels and tires ?

Very good 👍👍
can you share the details of your c24 article
Can't wait to do this
I inverted the front shocks with risers to reduce twist later on...
Hi from what truck is the rear body from. C14 comes with only the front part right, so where can i get the rear body part. Thanks
C24 model
I need those wheel spacers can’t find any good wheels for my c24
Ebay

thread size?? or are they all different bc i see on the metal upgrades it looks like the threads ore more thinner together
I think theyre called #4 machine bolts at lowes
What is the size of this suspension ?!
65mm i believe
Hey man did you fill those shocks with oil or just leave them dry?
Came with ok oil in them. I really wasnt concerned. With the quality of oil thickness. Such small scale and slow driving thin oil is fine
@@supastihl89 I'm trying to fit some 90mm shocks on mine. I'm hoping with shock hoops that they fit
What screws do you use for the bracket that the links connect to? I did the spacer lift for it and my stock screws aren’t long enough to keep the axle housings tight. Thanks
My stock screw stuck out the bottom i was able to use them thet are flush with spacers in place.
How did u get the extra width on axles. They seem longer..is it the wheels
Nevermind lol. I watched the whole video
Right on 👌🤟🤟
Can you plzz tell me how you charge your lipo batteries and what do you use
Hexfly 2s to 3s charger.
How long does it take you to charge your floureon 2s lipo with that charger
Not very long i haven't timed it. Maybe an hour or so
Hooptie Rides&Reviews ok cool thx very much
My c 24 came with a 260 motor..
I'm thinking a trailer with a drive shaft
Where did you get those sharks
Aliexpress.com
65mm oiled aluminum
I have the same shocks, stock links though. Positioned shocks the same as yours and my flex is still garbage. Any advice?
I had to invert front shocks due to chassis twist. But the links help alot. Make sure they can move freely
th-cam.com/video/kDQF54Gteyk/w-d-xo.html
are these WLtoys shocks?
No just basic rc shocks you can order multiple different lengths
Do you have links for them bro?
Man I keep balloon all those batt. Even on slow charge
Maybe wrong charger for batt
What are the small wheels from that you ended up not using
Qx 4 crawler tires. Very cheap and excellent compound. Still want to use them somehow.
@@supastihl89 I'm trying to find info on those wheels but can find any would you be able to give me some measurements I'm trying to go smaller tire and and comparing
@@markorleans7088 they are smaller but not by very much at all. They fit on the rim but they look fat and overstretched. Rim diameter is different
how long the absorber?
65mm for these
Yo you think I could take 1/14 scale shocks and use this same setup?
I used whatever length I needes to order shocks. These were 65mm. I ended up inverting front shocks with adapter plates
@@supastihl89 thank you
Extra wires are for 4wd
Hi, do you have to fill these with fluid and what do I need to get if so?
Any oil will work. I went cheap and used veg oil lol. You can order shock oil on ebay.
Low budget truck so i kept it simple
Bummer, links to adapters not working, at least, not from Europe
I think you are putting a winch or a trailer lighting system in the back
Close with the trailer...
What wheels are those
Rally wheels off ebay. Fit hpi i believe. Cheap plastic
Leaf springs work alot better
Your gonna make a 6x6 huh?
Was. Burned that motor so input a 540 can in this truck.
Are your driveshafts fixed? They can't slide?
No they slide. Has square tubing
Dosent it bind?
@@joseflindbom7680 it does if the springs push the truck up any from static. As it sits flat no it does ok
Run video asap
How long are those shocks?
60mm himoto
I reckon yr gonna put a winch crane in the back
What esc do you run?
