may I guess that at least 1 cat a year dies from one of the stalactites falling and a little while before it happens sandclaw observes it cracking and says something about it but NO one understands lol

Being a Floridian my head canon is that this is land close to or on a resort, and the cats find a lot of strange twoleg artifacts like swim toys, golf balls and the occasional swimsuit. That or it’s part of a natural park and the cats see the herds of two legs that move through at different times and figure they’re migrating or something

I know this is a year old but seeing their sacred sight gave me a thought. When you look out onto the ocean it looks as though it blends with the skyline. What if WillowClan sees that as StarClan seeping down into the material world, creating this endless "lake". I imagine that when a clan member dies they prepare a little raft for them and send them across the waters, believing that the waters will carry them straight to StarClan.

I love the idea of a camp behind a waterfall, it lends itself to a really cool idea of a super bad winter that freezes the river solid so none of the cats can sleep and it puts everyone on edge, just for a super cool mystery atmosphere

Comes back to this later to catch up on the series and I laughed out loud at 'WHEN IT'S QUIET THEY CAN'T FUCKING SLEEP' it's so true. I was also a Los Angeles kid for a time and you just get used to Noise.
Jeez, it’s been a year since this Clangen challenge started! I can’t wait to see what updates Little hungry warrior is gonna come back with. I’m so invested in Willowclan

Where would the rouge husbands live, my head cannon for them is most of the husbands live in this like abandoned shed that's not to far away from their clan and all the husbands hang out and just talk about their wives and stuff, they also hunt together and they go in a big group to see their kids at the cave

maybe they weave willow branches and use that as a sort of blanket fort propped on rocks/pillars? (i also know it's silly and not actually possible, but thinking of these cats using willow hammocks is really cute to me)
edit: OH maybe they can also use mineral dense water from deeper in the cave and slowly build up a strong crust type wall over their shelters? like, maybe their shelters aren't carved at all but a pain staking process of manipulating the nature of stalactite? it would also add a bit more reluctance to leave, because of a sunk cost falacy not just for themselves, but because of their ancestors hard patient work!

Ohhh I got an idea lol. Imagine with how trusting the clan is that a group of other cats that are more like travelers wanted to take over, so they decided band figured out a way to temporarily block the river above which creates the waterfall for a few days or something. As such the clan had become more restless while also trying to bring comfort to the other group who they were letting stay with them without realizing that group was the cause. And while the other group slept fine and was well rested constantly. (Only helping with hunting and a few other things that are not super taxing to stay well rested while not appearing suspicious except to a few cats from the clan.
That when the clan cats were finally managing to get a moments rest is when the traveling group struck. (In some way the clan would end up winning being far more trained even despite their lack of sleep. As the traveling groups leader got swept up by the waterfall as the pressure broke through the barrier destroying it-

aw thank you so much!! yes but I don't give it out to strangers ^^ I can give you some pointers, and I don't mind you tracing my art with practice/study in mind as long as, if you post it, you say it was traced for practice/study and give credit.
>study anatomy, do a lot of sketches of real cats
>use construction shapes that aren't just circles; I use a lot of squares, personally
>I like to consider fur to be part of the anatomy and think of it in terms of locks which can bounce and flow and act like fur for the most part but ultimately keep their shape, which helps me keep character designs consistent (esp in the face)
>look into animation-friendly stripes/spots/etc for pattern design
