Whenever pups howl its an exception though, only you and your mate are allowed to howl once at the home hex, if your mate howls when claiming territory you have to abandon that hex. -You also can't have a territory that's under 20 hexes, it must be at least 20 hexes of territory -And finally, you can only hunt pray thats at half health or under half health(also, yes, you can use your mate to help weaken the prey to half health or under!) I hope this is interesting enough, I tried to make it as challenging as possible! I somehow feel like I made this too complicated lol I might try out this challenge myself sometime, I really like this one :0
You're amazing! Can I suggest an Idea? It's a challenge where you can only eat cows from the cattle ranch in Lost River. You and the whole pack can eat nothing but cows, and try to raise your pups to 10 pounds. I saw someone do this and wanted to see you try it!
Challenge: the classic 1.only stay in the area which was included in the 2.7 map 2.can only hunt animals which in the area or was included in original game 3.start in amethyst mountain 4.migrate to slough creek once finding mate 5.have fun ;)
Despite low diversity Yuzu is honestly a great mate to have. If he had more stars he would have been pretty much perfect from the bits I have seen of him.
Challenge idea; Angering challenge! 1. Must be on accurate in playthrough. 2. All stats must be -2 or -1. 3. You have to go for a 1 star or 2 star diversity mate. 4. Only one stat each year! that's it, hope you enjoy this idea!

Omg... How did you find the brain power to think about all these challenges 😅 I really love these though! I think it would be fun if you also made it to where if the pups or mates howled that you would have to move dens(only if it was at the den ofc!) lol that wolf you had in the beginning looked like my wolf midnight who umm had a bad past with other wolves,I though of a story for her and everything
Another challenge idea: (I'll be trying soon after i make this comment) Simmilar to @romilysfuntimes2262 (and others ive seen) 1. Accurate 2. 1 Star mate 3. -2 on all stats 4. No age Boosts 5. If you fall below 25% health while fighting, then you may no longer hunt until your health is back to atleast 75% 6. Ironwolf, No Mate Respawn 🐺
Not bad, i had one issue with it though, if you were trying for genuine realism. The mother elk you killed instead of the baby. In reality, the wolves will go after the calf. It's easier to kill, and naturally predators want as low risk of a hunt as possible. By killing the mother, that orphaned the calf, which likely soon got predated or starved. It is also more of the gene pool gone than it would have been if the calf died instead. (I know it's just a game and the animals aren't real ones, and i do not mean this as a rude comment, but as a little realism tip. :'> i personally feel bad if i even think about orphaning a calf/fawn)
How do you get such great mates? I play on easy mode mostly and have REALLY needed my mate to go and mark and stuff, me being forgetful and hating the boring task. Is there a way to tell if they will mark? i always have my affinity 100%, I have watched your 'how to tell a mates personality' video, just don't really know what tells me if they will go and mark? My mate has only done it a few times in 2 year/cycles.
I honestly never really expect my mates to go out marking but I believe that it's the energetic mates that go out and do the marking. So just look for dispersals that do not lay down frequently; and if they run around a lot then chances are they will help out with pup raising and marking. To push the likelihood they go out and mark, go for a loner mate as well. They tend to leave the pups to go hunting and marking on their own. Loners can easily be identified by their lack of emotes towards your wolf or their group if they have one. If they don't try to interact with you a lot then they probably are a loner. A lot if not all my mates are social though, so I don't think it matters too much whether or not they are social or loner. But just go for an energetic mate, the more they run around the more likely they are to help with those kinds of things. Lazy mates just don't help with a lot of stuff.
@@Kayuai Wow, first time being replied to by a youtuber (Let alone my fav one). Thanks tho! I'll look out for that! But do you have any tips starting out territory? i normally just go along with it marking every spot i am in that i can and only in the end choosing a den because of how tedious it is to mark and my ADHD brain does not handle it............ (lol)
I usually pick short howls to be able to raise the hexes to 100% faster. I press H and then double press H again right before the howl ends so it switches between the short howls; it makes marking a bit faster. If you have a bold and/or social mate, they'll howl with you which can help mark territory faster in the winter. :) If you proceed past the winter marking phase to the choosing den phase, you can remark every low hex to 100% that you marked in the winter. But I only do that once I'm satisfied with the rest of the territory and if there's only one low hex since I don't want to have to run around and mark everywhere again lol.
@@Kayuai (Wow a streak lol) thanks! that definitely will help with me always picking the default (1) one on both primary and secondary, that makes sense and will help me mark faster. Thanks!

in this challenge you have to play without a mate, on accurate. You cannot socialize with your pups (except for feeding, woofing and squeaking)
Rules:
- No mate
- No playing with pups to boost affinity
-Play on Ironwolf
-Play on accurate
I just searched what Achyls and her husbands' names meant and it turns out Achlys means mist and Yuzu means citrus-
Challenge idea: Scaredy Wolf/Extra cautious

Day 4
prepare your eyes for a paragraph of yaps, you have been warned
I have a challenge i think... yeah
anyways, my challenge is below these words
Challenge: No sound (you cant make sound)
-idc the difficulty but im assuming you would choose accurate
- no woof
-no whine
-no howl (even for territory)
-no squeak
-no growl
(This part of the challenge was heavily inspired from reneedittmer9625)
-If your mate/pups howl while denless, you must choose a den
-If you hear/see your mate howl while your mate is out hunting/marking, you must bring them home
(The rest of this challenge i got from reneedittmer9625, who replied to this comment
-If pups/mate howls at the den, you must move dens
-If the mate howls while marking territory, you must go home
-do you get it?
i cant think of anything else, ill edit if i do but thats the basics
And another challenge:
challenge: ADVANCED meat chunks
-Again, idc difficulty
-ONLY cattle ranch meat CHUNKS
-not just ripped off by your mate, but ripped off by you too
-my main idea was that it just made it slower
-basically only cattle ranch but slower
-you are allowed to drink water in game, stay hydrated :D
-(optional) cant let your mate eat poisoned carcasses if they arent on mate permadeath (thats the only way i survived this challenge in single, so if you choose this, good luck lol
And another challenge: Nightmares only
-If you have a dream, you must immediately wake up
-when you wake up, you cant sleep until nighttime, unless it is nighttime, then you can just sleep again
-obvi no den sleeps
-(optional) to make it easier if you want, you could drink water, come back to den and sleep after a dream so you dont have to wait for nightfall
I have another challenge now :D I used my small brain to think.
Anyway- I have a very tedious challenge >:D
1 minute gameplay challenge-
-You can only play for one minute each day
-However, if your in the middle of a hunt, or a fight, or a den attack, you can keep playing until its over
IK ITS SUCH TORTURE, THATS WHY MY BRAIN IS SMALL
Once again, another challenge (im thinking of these while playing wolfquest lol)
challenge: Annoying challenge
-cant lock onto anything
-(optional) while hunting anything that is in a group, forced to kill the highest health you can find however, if hunting an elk calf, in an elk herd, only find the highest health elk calf, not forcing an adult elk lol
thats all i got for that challenge lol
omg ima yapatron
challenge: Daybird
-(optional) only hunt elk
-Only can do stuff during day
-if it is night, you have to go in the den
-if you sleep in the den, and go out to check if its night, and it is night, your not disqualified, just go back into the den
Nobodys gonna wanna read all this :(
Challenge: Nightowl

-Opposite of day bird
-Only do stuff during night
-if it is day, you have to go in the den
-if you sleep in the den, and go out to check if its day, and it is day, your not disqualified, just go back into the den

Challenge: Im the best >:(
-(preferably) lost river
-If you spot a coyote or a fox, you kill it, however, with coyotes... (pstt.. the rest of this part is on the line below :)
-(this part is optional) only kill one coyote if they are in a group.
-If you see a wolf, you can either also have to kill atleast one, or drain ones health to atleast half or a quarter.
-If you see a dog, atleast bring it down to where one more bite would kill it, or just kill it
Brand New Challenge :D
Challenge: Im a wolf? I thought i was a human!
-Do normal human stuff as a wolf...
-Forced to sleep at nighttime, unless your out hunting, fighting, marking etc.
-If your out at nighttime, and you come back to the den during daytime, you must sleep to basically noon (so half a sleep, or until sun is in the middle of the sky)
