I grew up with The Superman Animated series and Justice League so they're my personal favourite baser line suits.
I do think the recovery suit looks awesome and seems most functional. It's so damn clean and nice.
My absolute favourite suit of his if you count alternate suits is the one that his evil counterpart from Justice Lords in the Justice League animated series. It looks absolutely sick!

You mentioned Brandon Routh movie suit and forgot that his Superman made an apperance in the CW DC crossover event. His suit was based on Kingdom Come Superman and a huge improvement from his movie suit.
my favorite is superman rebirth suit mostly because it looks fantastic and plus felt like a return to form for superman and his entire world as a whole at least in my opinion.
My favorite and a lot of fans' at the time is actually one he missed, the Superman: Reborn suit with the return of the red boots, fuller belt and a yellow buckle. It came in the middle of the Rebirth run and is basically an upgraded, more complete version of the Rebirth suit. It was basically perfect before Bendis brought back the classic suit.

Superman: the animated series is my favorite non comic version of Superman. Not just the suit, but everything. Who he us, what he stands for, the way he acts, all of it. The best non comic Superman hands down.

I have to give it to the New 52 suit.
Not only do I think it looks the most realistic for what the hero would wear. But it the "non-armored" version that is used in the DCAU movies looks fantastic.
Runner ups would be Cavill's suit, Superman The Animated Series, Justice League Unlimited and the Recovery Suit (even with the mullet, it just adds a certain aesthetic that I don't think it would look as good without it).
Nobody makes the S on his chest bigger than Alex Ross. And I personally prefer it to just be an S. Its gotten too convoluted with its alternate meanings like it also being the crest for the House of El and it translating to hope. My favorite live action suit is Brandon Routh's Kingdom Come suit from Crisis on Infinite Earths
I think my favorite suit is the New 52 suit. It just fit the Boy Scout vibe so well.

Awesome video like always.only thing I didn't agree with was saying the red on Rouths Superman was too dark yet loving Cavills which is dark as well! They both rocked it as Superman though plus you missed out Routh as Kingdom Come Superman in Legends of Tomorrow
I was 10 years old when the Christopher Reeve Superman movie came out, so my early childhood was spent with George Reeves’ Superman and I always loved that huge dip in the cape so you can see his back. I don’t know why they did that, but it was an iconic look to me as a kid and it always made me think of Superman’s cape as so much different than all of the other heroes capes.
My favourite superman suits:
1.Christopher reeve suit/ pre 52 suits
2.Fleschier suoerman suit
3. Kingdom come suit
4. Red sun superman suit
5. Injustice superman

I think superman suit looks better with the trunks because
1. It breaks up the colour of the suit
2. It gives superman a more friendly apperance
Wear your trunks on top of your trousers for a day at work and out in public and see if you get the same result. The trunks are not practical, tactical, or compatible.
A perfect onscreen suit would be a mix of:
Superman Returns, Kingdom Come from CW's Crisis & Tyler Hoechlin's suit without the muscle shading.

Rebirth Suit is my most favorite, along with New 52 suit.
The look that embodies Superman the most to me is Sups post-Crisis until the Death of Superman storyline. Both as Clark Kent and as Superman it was the perfect embodiment of who Superman was (and still is).
I know people truly dislike the New 52, but I personally still love it. I saw the direction they were going and it was nearly on track. Plus, 52 helped dish out some of the best animated dc movies of the league, Darkseid, Flashpoint, and even giving Constantine time to shine.
Know what was a good classic suit and overall Superman, plus kinda waiting a sequel for this guy, the Year One Superman. The one with Martian Manhunter and Lobo.

The other main thing that the DCU has to establish beyond doubt is that Clark Kent/Kal El is his main persona and that Superman is his alter ego while in contrast, Bruce Wayne is the alter ego and Batman is the main persona. Superman and Batman should be Day and Night.

Yellow Lantern Superman is my favorite Superman Suit.
The DCAU version of Superman is my favorite without question but I definitely think the New 52 suit is by far the best. No red underwear, armor look, and the suit going up the neck.

Yeah, make a longer episode because I feel like a lot of suits are missing (like when you talked about red and blue superman, I feel like you forgot the first version of red and blue, when both versions coexisted and one married Lana while the other married Lois), and I'm far from a specialist on that matter.

6:30 this Superman Red was created when Cyborg Superman tried to split Electric Superman blue into particles and disperse them to kill him, but just split him into 2 bodies instead (Supermam Red/Superman Blue One Shot from 1998-it came with 3D glasses 😅)

You forgot the Reborn suit from the middle of Rebirth. It brought back the red boots and gave the red belt a yellow buckle. It's also less a reboot and more an anti-reboot.
Henry Cavill's suit just needed a red belt to break up the blue and it would've been perfect to me

You only see it twice in the series, but the Justice Lord Superman suit from Justice League is awesome. I liked the contrast of the midnight blue with the high collar white cape and red shield.
I hate the no-trunks versions. The color balance is too off. There's just too much blue. That's why I laughed my ass off when on _My Adventures with Superman,_ Ma Kent said the exact same thing about the color balance and added the red trunks, herself.
Gotta love how the biggest changes of the suit is the lack of trunks,suit material and the logo. The rest stayed the same-

Agreed. The red trunks over the blue suit looks ridiculous and serves no practical or tactical purpose. The suit is Kryptonian technology so it should be a different form of nanotechnology with hidden functions revealed over time.
CW Kingdom Come suit is probaly up there for me with classic one.

I know the New 52 armoured designs were extremely divisive, but I still liked them. If Wonder Woman was allowed to keep her skirt then it would have perfect.
First things first, George Reeves was not the first live action Superman. The first live action Superman and thus the first live action Superman suit appearance is in The Superman Serial from 1948 worn by Kirk Alyn. Also George had two suits a brown and gray one and then Red, Blue, and Yellow one for the episodes filmed in Color. The best suit is Christopher Reeve’s suit from Superman: The Movie followed by Henry Cavill’s suit.

My Favorite "super-suit" was Supergirl's from the 80's I didnt like the headband. but the shield being in a red stripe going over the shoulders I really liked. Jon's costume is very reminiscent of that part.

Tyler Superman suit is PERFECTION
I always hated the change where they removed the S from the back of his cape. I grew up on Superman with an S on his cape and the red trunks. I accepted the removal of the trunks, but I could never accept the removal on his S cape and I really hated the darker look to his cape trunks and boots.

Always loved the Fleischer costume. Henry Cavill's suit is my favorite live action with Tyler's second suit a close second for me. I couldn't stand the Brandon Routh suit but his Kingdom Come suit in the Crisis crossover was pretty cool.
