      that's grounds for divorce. Oh, and skiing! She wants to go skiing. She

    It's nice to listen to this review after having seen Uncut Gems and The Irishman. It lets me know that Adam Sandler and Al Pacino were not irredeemably ruined.

      Sandler is still irredeemable. The occasional performance (ie, 2, punch drunk love and Uncut Gems, hardly a record) doesn't redeem his shocking acting career. When Sandler makes films, he makes this. And does it repeatedly. You're a complete fool.

    • @Gadget-Walkmen
      @Gadget-Walkmen ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheKamikazenaz LOL NOT even close. Uncut Gems is STILL a fantastic movie and he doesn't do ANYTHING on what say at all about that rubbish speech at all nor is he anywhere near a "pOoR mAN' AL CaPpuCcinO" in the slightest. Grow up and open your eyes, seriously.

      @@ThePsycoDolphin NOT even close. Sandler is NOT "iRrEDeEmABlE" in the slightest at all. It's just he does alot of stinkers throughout the years unfortunately but he DOES have alot of talent even with solid movies like Grown Ups.
      Punch Drunk Love and Uncut Gems are STILL fantastic movies and ARE still a record towards him.
      The only person that's "a cOmPlETE foOl" is yourself for saying and believing the nonsense you're saying, that's for sure. Just stop hating on Sandler.

    Better labelled a drama than a comedy, good film. Terrible drama because it looks like a comedy, terrible comedy because it's just uncomfortable in its script, terrible script because it doesn't know what it is... But the drama beneath it is straight forward and reaches its natural conclusion with some humorous side-gags.

    The thinking behind this film must have been "Adam seems to be the same person in all his films, let's show his wonderful character acting skills.." And in that, they made Adam Sandler become... Adam sandler in a fat suit, with a lisp and a wig!
    I saw a film starring Richard prior when I was 10, called Dynamite chicken.. Up until recently I have described it as the worst film I have ever seen. Jack and Jill felt like my eyes and ears were being raped. Surely Pacino knew this was a Turkey.

    Either A. Pal Pacino is terribly stupid - doubtful, or he thought he was in a terrible skit for a very unfunny TV show.
    B. He was paid a LOT of money. I mean a L O T... like a ship full of money.
    C. He hates people
    D. He wanted to make one unequivocally bad film.
    E. He's done something very bad and was blackmailed to do the film.
    F. Everyone's entitled to make one take your breath away, totally illogical, insane bad judged decision. - this could be his.

    Jack and Jill is awful but I have to say, the way in which Mark describes he wanted to laugh in this film is quite similar to the way in which I didn't laugh watching The michael cera movie, Youth in revolt. I remember watching it and I didn't laugh once, I wanted to laugh but it wasn't what I wanted it to be. 90 mins of un-funnyness and I sat there at the end wondering why on earth I didn't laugh once. Jack&Jill is crucially worse but Youth in revolt ain't good.
