  • Hey guys, so Im back again after a long while, sorry about that. I'll try to be more consistent in uploading content focused mainly on Motorcycle vlogs, how tos and automotive detailing stuff.
Anyway, I recently just acquired a BMW K1200S and the bike was running hotter than what I hoped for. I experienced a near overheat when I got stuck in traffic after a high RPM run. I looked online for videos and I stumbled upon one that didnt need the vacuum tool to burp out the airpockets of the cooling system.
I tried my best to do an "instructional" video here but if there is something that isnt too clear lets talk about it in the comments below. :) Shout out to Jolly Alarcon for helping me do all the mechanical work.

The K1300S and 1200 need to be filled up under vacuum. If you don't use a vacuum system you will not be able to get all the air out and the valves can over heat. Sorry but you give wrong information here

Nope, no need, vacuum is just a tool to make things easier and faster. I live in the Philippines where it is hot and traffic everywhere, fan cycles as it should.

@@touiederosas2013, sorry you are wrong. You do a good job I am sure but the right way is the vacuum filling. Not for speed but to reach all areas inside your engine. Your fan cycles got nothing to do with the cooling of the valves seating and other important areas. Even you are not above the engineers from BMW. You and others might have been lucky but the K is not a self bleed system like a car. Its a very special engine who needs good trained people to work on it. If you cut a corner and safe cost it might byte you one day. Good luck

BMW states to used vacuum filling in the manual. Good job though and if it doesn't overheat it should be fine.
