Hello, like your video, can you tell me the bottom slider is it fixed like the top slider, I can move mine about 10mm up and down is this normal. Thank you, Michael Irl 🇨🇮
Does the end of the crankshaft have any mark to know if it is in the correct position before placing the new chain? to verify that the engine is on time?
@@bartomiejkapczynski3194 ok, can i see that the piston is at the top from where the spark plug goes? and which of the four pistons should be on top? Thanks
@@miguelvite6029 you kan look thru spark plug socket. 1st cylinder came from right hand side. But it's enough if you follow the movie. You just make sure yourself when you look thru spark plug 😉
Up to you, I did it when K1200r had about 65000km, I heard the chain noise, and the engine has all the time 1st generation tensioner (the flat one-the bad one).
Dziękuję bardzo mi to pomogło właśnie tego szukałem.
Cieszę się bardzo, udanego sezonu! 😉

No, you don't need it. You check only when the piston is on the top position.

Do you know how i can find TDC mark on crankshaft? BMW K1300s. The cylinder head was broken, timing chain replaced :(
TDC is top dead centre, remove spark plug, then you check where is top for each cylinder 👍
@@bartomiejkapczynski3194 Thank you, already did it with dial indicator.
P.S. For 1, 4 cylinders
Great video, but K1200LT engine is totally different. This does not apply on it.
Ups you're right! My bad, sorry. I should try change the title, thanks!
Can you do it with the engine in the bike?
Yes
Video with motor in the bike please
A quanti km?

How can you replace the smaller sprocket without the locking tool?
It's possible to use wrench on crankshaft, just behind sprocket.
