So sad that a majority of this country is decades behind other parts of the world when it comes to public transportation, both over long and short distances. I spent nearly a month in Germany and didn't need to rent a car or any other mode of personal transportation.
Absolutely incredible! And the drop-point being Disney Springs means there's no need for entry-cost. You can just get your shop-on if that's all you're interested in doing. Good move I say, However. The replacement of Disney-Express would still need a way to get guests to their "check-in' destinations, and their luggage. I hope that Disney intends to do internally.
@@Batsquatch98 Blame Amtrak. They have lobbyists that have IMMENSE power in Washington and have managed to block private rail on every single front. They've been a huge block towards us having a nationwide bullet train, claiming their crappy Acela is a "high speed rail." Their ridiculous explanation? Their lawyers said "The nation's infrastructure is not suitable for "ULTRA" high speed rail. WTF is that?! They refused to even explain at a hearing but because of so much political corruption, nobody raised any questions and they were allowed to keep all their networks while private bullet train companies were denied entry into the market! This is why I despise Amtrak and will NEVER use them. They are so awful that one of their Acela routes saved barely 30 minutes over taking a plane the same way!
Brightline being forced to pay toll companies for "lost revenue" is the most Florida thing I can imagine. Those toll companies are ridiculous and I hate having to use them. They're super expensive!
There are ways to travel around the city without using tolls, you just have to plan ahead and put maybe an extra 10 minutes into your drive depending on where you're going. It's not that bad.
Here in Pennsylvania it’s become cheaper to take the train from Pittsburgh to Harrisburg/Philadelphia than it is to take the Turnpike (which is now one of the most expensive toll roads in the world). I can’t imagine requiring Amtrak to reimburse the Turnpike Commission for lost toll revenue.
Not toll companies. CFX, the thruway authority, is the owner of the land that Brightline is building their tracks on. They are being charged for that land use.

I wish I could DING THIS BELL a thousand times! I GASPED OUT LOUD when I heard this tidbit of information! Even though, it is NOT surprising to hear when you have lived in America for 50 years!
These new toll roads are many times through a Private/Public partnership. Part of those deals is that when the roads finally open, the Private portion of that partnership would get a percentage of toll revenue over a certain amount of years as a return on that investment. Additionally, there are also bonds issued and loans taken out by government entities to finance these projects. Future toll revenue plays a large role in determining the financing of such projects so that is most likely the concern here about potential toll road revenue loss. The government needs to pay back these investors and loans so if there is a loss of toll revenue then it would mean that they need to offset those losses by other means. Which could mean the tax base footing that bill.
@@Shundi879 Yup, lets try and get less cars off the road because it's better for the environment... "But you better not touch our income revenue!" I see the same thing in San Francisco all the time, this war the local transit authority has against automobiles, not wanting them anywhere... but the #1 source of revenue for the city comes from automobiles often in the form of parking, and more to the point parking enforcement (tickets).
Exactly! This is a privately owned company and the state of Florida is holding them hostage to make sure they get their cut of the profits (because that's easier than the state building a railroad). Does the state of Florida also hold all the bus lines hostage that run back and forward to the cruise docks (I wouldn't be surprised since they replace hundreds of cars per week) or do they just charge buses a hell of a lot more money for the tolls? (basically the same thing) The idea of the toll road is that those that USE IT pay for it. I understand that the state of Florida has to pay back investors for building those toll roads, but they shouldn't be allowed to strong arm a company that is building a better system to make it easier for some to travel around the state. Over time the state of Florida will derive more income from the normal operation of the rail system than their toll blackmailing will provide and will give them a better relationship with a company that can provide that income with the possibility of expanding to north Florida in the future. (something they're not likely to do if the state tries to grab as much of the rail profits as they can)
My thoughts on Disney discontinuing the ME is that they want you to rent a car. Then you have to pay for the parking fee at the resorts. Win, win for Disney. You're still paying for the ME since the cost is built into the resort room, which as you said Brayden, the cost of the resort rooms is not going down.
I love trains! I really hope all of this comes to fruition. One thing I loved about using Magical Express is that they took care of all your luggage. You check in your luggage at the airport before you leave and then after relaxing in my resort room for a bit I got a knock on the door and just like magic, my luggage arrived!
Kiddo, this is an impressive video, smooth and informative. Your skills are growing exponentially! I am in the commuter train business, (railroad employee) and this was anything but boring. Disney is cutting a service that is very appreciated by their guests and won’t be forgotten when it’s terminated. Disney used to allow visitors a few dollar when they get back home, now they turn you upside down and empty your pockets before leaving.
@@tommytube268 So first off, the whole Virgin fiasco. Second, that the line is the most fatal in the US. Third, that they’re failing financially. Fourth, that the money they pay to the throughway authority is simply for the land they’re using and not for a toll offset. Finally, that the majority of the railroad’s construction has been because of state and county infrastructure investments. Those major points would be good to mention, as well as prices on the existing line being much higher than advertised.
@@afcgeo882 Lets take a look into that then. Virgin Group invests in so many different thing that they probably decided it wasnt valuable for them anymore focusing on Galactic instead. Secondly since Brightline is new they are going to be more "dangerous" than companies who have operated for decades without many accidents. Third, many companies struggle financially in the first few years of business, thats just how it is. Some do better than others and some take a while to make money like Uber and Lyft. You are correct with you fourth point though.
even if this wasn't a disney-focused goal for this new train line, the fact that we're getting more trains is just an overall net positive. Our country is HUGE, and we should by all means be using more railway lines.
although that hugeness is what makes rail hard, since you need to build a lot more track to connect the same amount of people, thus making less money, plus the trains need to be equipped to be more comfortable for longer haul travel. that being said, I think we're ready
Second that. Awesome stuff. Nino, we just posted a video breaking down Disneyland vs Disney World-- would love for you (or any Disney Parks fan) to watch it when you have the time. Check our channel please and thank you!
As someone who goes to Disney pretty often, I would love to see this, I feel like it would allow people to have a pretty direct line with WDW along with the ease of getting of the plane, getting over to the BL terminal, and hopping on a train to Disney springs.
This is an excellent explanation of the dynamics of Brightline and the repercussions of Disney abandoning their free bus service. Brayden, you have a lucid understanding of the complexities of these transportation modes and have clearly presented them in your video. As a resident of West Palm Beach and a regular Brightline rider I can assure you they are a first class operation. The trains, stations and service are of the highest order. To all of the future riders out there you should be very excited about the introduction of Brightline into Orlando and on to Tampa.
So I used to be able to check my bag all the way to my room from home. I didn’t even have to go to my room right away- I could check into the hotel and go do what I wanted knowing that my bag would be in my room when I got there later on. Now I will have to collect my bag, get on a second peoplemover, take it to the train station, get on a train to Disney Springs, get my bag on to a third form of transit to my actual Disney hotel, check in with my bag at that time, then go do something. Not only will all these transfers substantially slow down my first and last day, but I’m going to have to haul luggage all over Central Florida.
beyond stupid - i cant even believe they are considering this - i wouldnt take the brightline if given the option of the Disney Magical Express. Why isnt Tesla making a fleet of electric busses for Disney yet? Or is that already happening? A company most likely will start up to transport guests and deal with luggage - maybe Mears rebrands Disney Express but now you can expect a $100 per person charge to and from the airport on each Disney vacation - that's highway robbery.
And just think, when its time to go home, YOU get to do all of this AGAIN!!!!!! I think at first i might be a THING, but in reality, from our home in WPB, its 3 hrs to Disney, pull to our hotel, give valet key, and we go inside check in and dead done deal!!!! We are in our 70's and this seems much better than so many transfers! Buggy lugging luggage ect. Im a little sceptable...
In all honesty Walt Loved trains so much and wanted Disney World to be something so massive that by now there would have been a monorail that traveled from the airport to the park, and trains to receive any one who lived in the state.
There was, very briefly, an operational air field at WDW. For a small extra fare, guests flew a short hop from MCO to Disney. If Walt had lived to see WDW open, I'm quite sure the field would have expanded to become a full fledged airport, with direct flights. No need for Magical Express when the customers are flying right into the magic. After all, MCO only became a major hub because of Disney, Orlando the city only became a (somewhat) large city for the same reason. Walt wanted complete control of his environment, but the men who came after him just didn't think on that scale.
My 2 cents: Disney should exert some of its considerable influence and financing to make this project a reality. For me, it's not a vacation if I have to drive. The main thing that's kept me vacationing at WDW over the last 20 years, in spite of living a 6 hour drive from Anaheim, has been the pleasure of knowing I don't have to deal with routes and traffic and gas stations.
Amazing footage. Let’s hope Brightline can defeat Florida’s bureaucracy and set an example of modern transportation in America. The whole economy of the state would profit
I think that’s what they are trying to do. There are new stations being built in Boca Raton, Oakland Park, and I think they are considering one in Port St. Lucie.
The thing I love about your videos, they’re professional and should be viewed by every one. Being from the Midwest I love the fact that you talk so “fast” it’s the best !!!🤩it’s like I’m listening to my best friend ! Thanks for all you do.
This feels like good and bad news. I'm happy for Brightline, but feel a little down that Disney is getting rid of the Magical Express. It's the only way I've ever traveled to and from the resort to the airport. We shall see how this goes I suppose. I'll probably be one of the first to find out since I'll be going Dec. 26 - Jan 2.
@@christinazowadney8188 sadly, it won't be complimentary or look as magical. The theme was part of the experience. Unless Mears plans to keep mickey and the gang on its buses? 🤔
Finally! Somebody stepped up and made it happen. High-speed rail is the wave of the future. It has been in Europe for decades. Hopefully it will be a model for others to follow. Are the rich investors listening? Make it happen and put your name on it. One heck of a legacy!!!
Biggest issue with the bright line from the airport is that you’ll have to then change at springs (or wherever the station will be located) to another means of transport to get to your hotel and not only is that more money but it’s more hassle especially if you’ve got a few bags or if you’ve travelled for a fair amount on a plane already
I stayed off site at a hotel that had a courtesy bus to Disney World's transportation center where you board the appropriate monorail to your ultimate destination (Epcot, Magic Kingdom, etc.). I drove to the hotel as I didn't want to go off to other attractions. Do research before you finalize vacation plans and stick with the plan. Don't forget to tip your courtesy drivers! Have a relaxing vacation and enjoy the magic (and make some happen if you have the chance). If you elect to stay off site, look for places that have shuttle service between the airport and hotel. Account for additional travel time to WDW from your hotel and make sure their shuttle schedule meets your needs, again, before you book. Vacation planning and doing it are stressful enough, but making the effort to not 'wing it' can go a long way to ensuring a successful, memorable vacation experience.
Totally! If you didn’t have to worry about bags it would be a great stop for a bite to eat before hotel check in, but families who have been flying all day will definitely not enjoy lugging bags around springs to find their bus. I can just picture all the cranky families now 😬 I think most will end up doing a car (either rental or Lyft, etc).
You're in luck, Brightline already offers check baggage service. Part of the negotiations going on right now is how to interline them from train to hotels.
Husband and I were talking about this this eve. WE live in West Palm Beach, however when you add all the plus plus plus's that will be involved, its seems so much more convieint to drive (3hr) to the resort of choice. We exclusivly stay at Boradwalk Inn, less hassel, yes its espensive, but, we;ve done it all and it seems to work best. I hope this works for many but we are in our seventies, and buggie lugging luggage to and fro JUST to get to your resort, and THEN do it all over again when leaving.. Have to see how this works...
I need to tell you Brayden that this is an extremely well put together update. You are wise beyond your years. Keep it up and this channel will continue to grow in leaps and bounds.
Disney dumping the Magical Express is just a way of them raising the price of staying at their resorts without an actual price increase or without one as great as they want.
@@afcgeo882 It's the same thing really. They want more money directed at the bottom line. They can either increase rates or cut service. Sometimes they can cut places like landscaping or other staff that might be missed, such as scrubbing the entry pad on the buses each night so they look brand new the next morning- not kidding, lol, that was an example of a cut to increase money to the bottom line that they were hoping no one would notice. As far as I know no one did. In other cases it's something like this, drop the free transport from the airport. Every room at a Disney owned resort is now making whatever the amount the service cost more per room used. While the guest is paying the same amount for the room PLUS whatever it now costs them from the airport, should they fly of course. If they drive themselves then that cost was already added to the resorts a few years ago when there was a charge added for parking your car at your resort.
Okay this was an amazing Report on the Disney Railway. The quality of the content was off the charts. I'm a rail fan and a Disney fan myself. I been following your channel for such a long time. I want to personally thank you for all the hard work you done covering this love Mickey views news
Without the margical express my resort choices changed drastically. I will not think twice before staying off property anymore. I live abroad, I don't drive, half of my family do not speak English and I always have chosen Disney resorts because is the easiest for us. But each day it is getting closer to any resort in Orlando. I hope the train changes my mind again.
@@strongtowerman9661 Currently has stopped service because of the pandemic in order to spend more of their money on the new extension. Service will pick up towards the end of this year.
With Disney everything is always going up. I have a big family as much as I love Disney at some point I might take a vacation somewhere more affordable.
Wow brayden. I hadn’t watched one of your videos in a fair few months, because I felt sad about the inability of English people to come to Disney for a very long time. But this one popped up, and I have to say your production quality has soared. Well done. You’re 100% the best Disney TH-cam channel around
I think it should be first extended from its downtown Tampa station to also the city’s airport and stadium. If you used existing bridges, you’d have to to route through Clearwater to get to St. Petersburg from Tampa. That’s kinda an inconvenient and roundabout way of connecting the two, if you ask me.
How about luggage? I figure it won't be difficult to carry your luggage on the train from Orlando Airport to Disney Springs, but then you still have to take the Disney Bus System to your Disney Hotel. If I'm not mistaken the current on property buses don't have luggage space. Maybe there will be a bag drop (for a fee of course) at the airport and your luggage will be delivered to your room. What would also be nice is that when you fly back home you could already check-in for your flight at the Disney Springs Station. In the end if I have to pay anyway for the train or a Mears bus, I think I would choose the convenience of the bus that drops me in front of my hotel.
I have a friend who works for WDW Transportation in management, she told me that WDW had to cancel the deal with MEARS for the Magical Express due to 2 factors: 1.) The Airport wanted a multi-million dollar increase for the lease of the loading/unloading area. 2.) Mears wanted a 20 year contract renewal for nearly 5 times the current price. Disney knew this decision would upset people tremendously but they were backed into a corner without any choice given the reduced park admission during COVID times.
If this goes to Disney Springs I hope there is a solution for luggage. That will be terrible having every bus out of Disney Springs filled with luggage and people trying to get back to the resort
If they would just have taken the $20 or $30 per person it cost for the ME and the few dollars it cost them for Magic bands that they no longer give for free and just raise the price of a vacation package by that much no one probably would have noticed.
I wish they would keep the free airport shuttle going for us single moms with kids and luggage at least until the railroad is open. I really appreciated it when we were able to stay at a Disney world resort with dining plan, flights and airport transfers included.
I remember having to pay mears before magical express came into existence it wasn’t too bad I do remember for a while when magical express started a lot of the other companies that handle transportation were pretty upset that they lost revenue I guess they will be happy now the cab drivers the Uber drivers the rental car companies all profit from this. In California they have a bus similar to magical express but they charge for that it’s a private company that runs it it’s not too bad either considering LA traffic
For real this could have been one of your best put together videos you’ve done. Nothing disrespectful about earlier videos but this one had to take forever to get all the footage. Very well done kid. Very well done. I really hope the phase three happens. I lived in Germany for 4 years and always preach how nice the train system was over there. Even if you lived in the middle of nowhere you didn’t have to have a car to get just about anywhere else in the country.
Just an absolutely fantastic video. Great job Brayden. The work you put into this video undoubtedly shows. In the meantime, until the train is available in years to come I’d be surprised if Disney didn’t bring back Minnie Vans. Surely the cost of Minnie Vans (especially to and from the airport) outweighs the cost of paying the cast members who drive them.
Fantastic video!! As a former Orlando resident, I honestly love this! I want to move back again some day. Transit has always been an issue there so this really amazes me!
Flights into MCO, with a connection to the cruise terminals of Miami, Tampa and Port Canaveral via rail, is going to be ideal for me personally. Normally we spend a few days in and around I-Drive and then drive to one of the cruise ports, but this is normally a hassle with tolls, parking cost at the port or having to arrange a drop off at the port and another car rental to get us back to MCO. With regards to the Magical Express, I know it was included in your hotel rate, but given the extortionate cost of Disney Resorts I can’t see why this would be a deal breaker for those willing to fork out premium hotel rates for standard rooms.
@3:32 box jacking was used on the Ted Williams tunnel in Boston along with soil freezing so they could get under the south station tracks without shutting down service. 20 years ago as part of the big dig project.
Disney Definitely screwed up they should have kept the contract for magical Express and charged like $5.00 per person the money there giving universal for this mistake will be huge plus now people will eat off site or not even stay on site since there's no real perks anymore
I've ridden Brightline and really like the service. I'm looking forward to it going to Disney especially. At least I have family that lives down there and might be able to get them to take me from the airport to the resort.
This is REALLY interesting and I hope the Brightline RR gets built sooner rather than later. Given that WDW was supposed to originally provide MONORAIL service to both Lake Buena Vista and the Orlando Airport, it's really a slap in the face for them to discontinue providing bus service now. They should be doing everything possible to assist guests in getting to their property, NOT making it harder and much more expensive for them to do so. Can't wait for Brightline RR to be finished!
I was expecting a Mickey Views News video and was pleasantly surprised with the documentary format! Awesome video, very well made and so cool to see you doing something new. The intro especially, reminded me of a NoClip documentary.
I’m a huge Disney fan and because my brother and his family moved to Tampa a couple years ago and my mother just moved to Lakeland …. Seeing this potential for a train that connects them all is exciting for me. Even though it will be years before it’s in operation, I’m already dreaming about riding that train when I head down there for visits to escape the wintry north. So glad I stumbled upon this video 😁
Seems weird to take a train from MCO to Disney Springs. Imagine managing your luggage on and off the train, then around Disney Spring to.. what? A normal disney bus to get to your resort? It'll be interesting to see what disney does once the rail is in place. That being said, I'll miss the Magic that is - Magical Express. Video is great, btw. Keep us updated!
I hope that, similar to airport skycaps, Disney will have cast members to check your luggage at Disney Springs who will arrange to put your belongings in your resort room. Does Disney have an app for self-check in?
@@russmc04 That would definitely be the solution! Separate baggage handling on the train. It would be fine to get a regular Disney bus from the station to the resort, but the luggage is the problem.
I’m not so sure: I feel like most families that go to Orlando tend to go the rental car route, and taking a train would eliminate the availability a rental car brings
Oh also I’m not sure that universal could provide transportation from the train station to the resort, meaning it would just be easier for guests to rent a car at the airport
I don’t see the train being a good alternative to the magical express. You would need to run multiple dedicated trains per hour to keep up with the volume (they currently only run 1 train per hour from Miami). Then… you get to Disney Springs and I’d assume transfer to a resort bus? But those are not configured for luggage. I’m thinking people either use Mears Connect or hire an Uber. Rental cars are expensive in Orlando, and you have to pay to park everyday at the theme parks. I don’t think it’s a huge deal that disney is getting rid of the free option…… I’ve never been anywhere that has free airport shuttles to a resort
Actually, they currently aren’t running any services due to the pandemic. But it’s typically 2 trains per hour. 1 every 30 minutes in both directions. Also Brightline has ordered more rolling stock so that they can increase the length of the trains to 7 cars instead of 5. That being said, Brightline is certainly prepared for the extra volume of people.
My biggest concern about all that traffic in an area is Sink holes. Remember Florida basically is on BIG SWAMP under that "DIRT". The More expensive versions sounds like the best way but maybe not for the Train Company.
B - this has to be, hands down, your greatest video ever. People from documentary companies should be grabbing you up. Just utterly fantastic. As for “toll compensation” what a crazy notion, regardless of passenger count in the rail system, the number of cars on that road will only increase. Florida should be paying brightline hand over fist to save them from themselves. Guests increasingly face dangerous road conditions and larger waits, a situation which people think about when planning return trips. If Walt could do it again, and knew the future, I am sure there would be a monorail in place already.
One of Disney’s conditions is also likely that “if you want a stop at our resort, you CANNOT also serve Universal”. That was their stance in the early 2000s when a public rail system was being proposed
Also, the LYNX bus 50 can be used to go around the Disney Area. Major Disney stops are Disney Springs West Side and Disney Transportation Station. The 50 goes back to the main downtown Orlando station. Not sure about the air port from the 50, but it is either a transfer bus on the 50 route OR a separate bus from the downtown Orlando station. Just FYI.
damn this video is great. 200% the quality over the already great videos coming out of this channel. very proud to see this channel grow like this. You have my full support on this!!
You should do a video on all the things Disney World has taken away but either kept prices the same or raises prices. Loved this video and all your others.
Thanks for covering this, Brayden. So excited for the Brightline extention. We live in Palm Beach County and we always take the Turnpike to WDW. Been dreaming about this extension ever since they first teased of a potential bullet train to Orlando. So glad this is really happening.

This is such a great video, thanks for sharing it. We are so excited for the Brightline expansion. My husband's restaurant is only a few steps away from the West Palm Station and we can't wait to have lunch there then jump on the Brightline to Orlando. My parents and my brother's family live in the Orlando area and this means we can visit without the headache of the turnpike or 95. The service can't come soon enough, we are soooooooo excited!!
That tunnel they put under the highway is more impressive when you realize that pretty much anywhere you dig in Florida you are going to hit water. Most of the state is wetlands. Very cool project and an awesome video passing all of the information about it!
they really need to rethink getting rid of the magical express. it was so convenient and hassle free for families, and now they’re going to have to pay extra money for transportation to get to their hotel. and the other thing is that the train won’t even be going to the hotels, it’s only going to disney springs.
If Disney willing to do, they can cooperate with brightline to add a check in luggage service directly send to hotel. I am sure many people are willing to spend lot of money in Disney Spring after ditching their luggage. Great first stop in WDW if don't want to go to hotel so early.
I really hope they get that train to Disney, that will be awesome. I never rode on the magical express like i would have liked to do but oh well. The train sounds way cooler anyway. I can’t wait.

(basically the same thing)
The idea of the toll road is that those that USE IT pay for it.
(something they're not likely to do if the state tries to grab as much of the rail profits as they can)
It's amazing to see new railroads being built in the US :)
haha free market go brrrrrrr
My thoughts on Disney discontinuing the ME is that they want you to rent a car. Then you have to pay for the parking fee at the resorts. Win, win for Disney. You're still paying for the ME since the cost is built into the resort room, which as you said Brayden, the cost of the resort rooms is not going down.
Not necessarily, if you get your own rental car you can then get a cheaper hotel room off Disney property.
Inaccurate and very selective information, unfortunately.
@@afcgeo882 What was the info then, talk about selective!
Great production Brayden. I cant imagine the time you put into this. Keep up the awesome work
Second that. Awesome stuff. Nino, we just posted a video breaking down Disneyland vs Disney World-- would love for you (or any Disney Parks fan) to watch it when you have the time. Check our channel please and thank you!
100% agree!
Was thinking the same😃, love it!
@@barrysolomon8993 The reason why for the compensation is because Brightline is leasing some land from the toll companies to build their new ROW.
@@barrysolomon8993 They primarily are concerned woth losing toll money from the turnpike and other toll roads which are not many.
I agree with you, it is a gift to have it here.
I-4 traffics is crazy. I would love a rail system.
Good Job Brayden Disney should hire you to do an evening news on all things Disney
He points out their flaws too often for that 😂
So I used to be able to check my bag all the way to my room from home.
Even better you just took your luggage at the airport before leaving tjen tada in your room .
That is what you do when you travel lol.
If only Walt were alive. I’m pretty sure he would already be building the station and ready to pay for the extension.
And Roy would be pulling his hair out trying to find a way to pay for it.
If Walt were alive this line would have existed 25 years ago, and they’d just be updating the lines to bullet trains.
Walt would be about 120 years old if he was still alive. Highly unlikely
Lucie.
I reckon that brightline idea would be awesome if they went the second route basically train to all the theme parks including Disney world
The thing I love about your videos, they’re professional and should be viewed by every one. Being from the Midwest I love the fact that you talk so “fast” it’s the best !!!🤩it’s like I’m listening to my best friend ! Thanks for all you do.
I can’t believe they are getting rid of Disney Magical express! It’s my favorite part of the trip. 😭😭😭
It is continuing under a different name and a separate fee.
What magical express?
@@rachaelgoldstein8091 Yes!
It was such a convenience and stress-reducer!
Bruh there’s no magical express you’re supposed to ride the monorail if your hotel doesn’t have a monorail you’re not really at Disney
26 - Jan 2.
Greed and profit over guest experience is the new Disney model
disney executives have lost contact with reality.
There will still be a bus operated by Mears from Orlando airport to your disney resort
Bright line sounds like a bright idea for their profit margins. What about us whom don't drive it's an awful idea
It is amazing to watch the American system try and do mass transport when it's such a standard feature of so many other countries.
More like reducing costs.
I loved that bus. No matter how good this change becomes, I will not get over it. I will always miss it. But I am a fan of everything privately owned.
I think it will crowd an already crowded Disney springs
my thought too
Without the margical express my resort choices changed drastically. I will not think twice before staying off property anymore. I live abroad, I don't drive, half of my family do not speak English and I always have chosen Disney resorts because is the easiest for us. But each day it is getting closer to any resort in Orlando. I hope the train changes my mind again.
CHOOOO CHOOOOO!!!!! Mickey Views video has arrived!!!
Brightline is awesome
This video was a great mini documentary explaining what’s going on with this project. I learned so much from it! Thanks Brayden!
Travel from the airport to Disney via car bus or train I would choose the train every time.
We live in South Florida, so this would be great for us. Also a fun way to travel to Disney. Great video! The production is fantastic

@@garygobin9951 yes! It's very pricy!
With Disney everything is always going up. I have a big family as much as I love Disney at some point I might take a vacation somewhere more affordable.
That’s discrimination

I hope you’re making bank with these videos because you deserve it. The work you put into this is insane, it shows, kudos! 👏
Wow brayden. I hadn’t watched one of your videos in a fair few months, because I felt sad about the inability of English people to come to Disney for a very long time. But this one popped up, and I have to say your production quality has soared. Well done. You’re 100% the best Disney TH-cam channel around
Will the line eventually go down from Tampa to St Petersburg and perhaps circle through alligator alley coming full circle? That would be epic!!!
This is an exceptionally well done video. Very informative, high production values, and excellent editing.
Dude, as someone who works in the transportation industry (in Orlando), kudos. It is clear you've done your homework. Bravo.
Wow. That's TONS of great information, and thank you for showing respect to the information regarding the railroads and rail fanners!
That sounds reasonable. Did they say why the Minnie Vans were discontinued?
@@davidlewis5189 No, but I'll ask her and comment back if I get an answer.
If this goes to Disney Springs I hope there is a solution for luggage. That will be terrible having every bus out of Disney Springs filled with luggage and people trying to get back to the resort
That’s what I was thinking
Yeah I was thinking that too! Also taking your luggage on a train isn't fun either :/
Excellent point! This will be a nightmare.
Guess you are going to have to start traveling spirit style
Brightline offers checked baggage.
The ME was a key part of our experience of going to Disney World. ☹️ Disappointing move, Disney.
If they would just have taken the $20 or $30 per person it cost for the ME and the few dollars it cost them for Magic bands that they no longer give for free and just raise the price of a vacation package by that much no one probably would have noticed.
All in all, Disney getting rid of the buses is a crappy idea
I agree it's way to save money
And Disney has more than enough money to keep the buses going until the project is complete.
I wish they would keep the free airport shuttle going for us single moms with kids and luggage at least until the railroad is open. I really appreciated it when we were able to stay at a Disney world resort with dining plan, flights and airport transfers included.
Thx for the outstanding update, Brayden! The Brightline system definitely shows lots of promise for Florida’s transportation in the near future.
I would love to work for Brightline in FL...as an FRA Certified Conductor...this might be a great option for the future of my career.
Well, this video exceeded my expectations. Well done, and congrats on getting your commercial drone pilot license, Brayden!
Brayden! Where are you? Looking forward to you next video.
I know right! It's been 3 weeks!!!
What about Mickey Vans?
Don't forget disney charges you to park at any of their hotels for the duration of your stay
I really hope brightside extends to georgia, taking a train to Disney or even the ksc would be awesome
To Atlanta, and Jacksonville
I agree. Make a line going all the way to Atlanta and maybe hit some spots like Savannah and a couple other large cities.
Disney Definitely screwed up they should have kept the contract for magical Express and charged like $5.00 per person the money there giving universal for this mistake will be huge plus now people will eat off site or not even stay on site since there's no real perks anymore
There is still the Mears bus you know that might shoulder the end of Magical Express.
I think that Disney would’ve increased revenue if that happened. It would’ve saved them from post-pandemic economic chaos
Mears is very expensive for single moms. This means I won't go that's it.
The scope of this project is mind boggling
This is QUALITY content. I’m impressed.
I've ridden Brightline and really like the service. I'm looking forward to it going to Disney especially. At least I have family that lives down there and might be able to get them to take me from the airport to the resort.
This video was EPIC! Love this style Brayden! Thanks so much 🙌🏼
That transition from the bus to the station while transitioning the topic from the bus to the train was smooth af
Disney: *Announces they are eliminating their bus service*
Bright Line: Allow me to introduce myself.
Also Brightline: So anyway, I just started chugging.
I bet they do bag delivery and hope you maybe shop/spend while your room is readied
The good news is, Brightline already offers check baggage service. Part of the current negotiations is on how to interline them from train to hotels.
Railroad to Universal Studios would be great too!!!!!
It is possible the leg between MCO and WDW might allow separate schedules from the Miami point. That's why rail service has branches.
Awesome breakdown.
You did an amazing job on this video!! As a resident of south Florida and a huge Disney fan,I have been waiting for this train for YEARS!!
Really Amazing what’s happening down in Florida. This would Never be possible in most of US.👍
B - this has to be, hands down, your greatest video ever.
This was an amazing video! Well done, Brayden!
I love the magic express bus! Oh Man ! It's so quick and easy! I hope they change their mind!
One of Disney’s conditions is also likely that “if you want a stop at our resort, you CANNOT also serve Universal”. That was their stance in the early 2000s when a public rail system was being proposed
Well, than I hope they build a railroad to universal instead. ;)
I remember that back in 02. I spoke with one of the guys from the light rail panel. He was pissed. Orlando needs light rail badly.
You have my full support on this!!
the people pf FL should be proud!! I hope nothing stops this project ....
Did you Know Today is earth day so that means Disney's Animal Kingdom has turned 23 today, April 22nd 1998.
You should do a video on all the things Disney World has taken away but either kept prices the same or raises prices.
Loved this video and all your others.
Great video. Although if you rent a car, now you have to pay Disney to park it on their property.
Not if you are a season pass holder or have a meal reservation at one of the resorts and park there instead of the theme park parking lots.
Thanks for covering this, Brayden. So excited for the Brightline extention. We live in Palm Beach County and we always take the Turnpike to WDW. Been dreaming about this extension ever since they first teased of a potential bullet train to Orlando. So glad this is really happening.

Haha. Real life tho’. That was me when I heard the news as well. How will I get my family of 6 to Disney??
