I drove this thing a few days ago when I bought my Colorado ZR2. Its really nice. Chevy has upped their game.
My neighbor has the black red line ed... when I saw it I thought to myself " Dodge really stepping their game up with that Durango " everytime it drove by I would try to get a good look at what kind of vehicle it was and to my surprise it was a traverse. I was like, well damn.

Frankly, this 3.6L version of the Traverse is capable of handling 90% (my estimate) of what most families would need to do over time, including off-roading and moderate towing. It has more room than the Tahoe and runs 10s of thousands less. It's only a second or so slower to 60 than a 6.2L RST Tahoe or Denali. It doesn't have the Mag Ride, but no one has complained about the way it rides without it. Better mileage, too.

And that's from a guy that's running a 2001 Yukon that has 310,000 miles on the same 5.3 and tranny. The Traverse is a great deal for those that want a family SUV at a good price. The Tahoe/Yukon line has become a bit too overpriced for what you get IMO, but the Traverse line hits the mark.

Test drove SUVs and mid size sport utility sizes a couple years ago ... I was going from a car and needed to go bigger with 2 active kids ... I ended up with 2016 Honda piolet , not to big plenty of room only thing it looks like a van cross over lol...i Saw this Redline Traverse and it looks like I'll be doing a trade in... has plenty of room and I LUV the sporty look.
That's the best part in my opinion, you get all the room and cool add ons, but you get to look really cool while driving it haha. Sharp looking ride.
I seen this suv on the highway and I am glad I came across this video! I have an Acadia but I might be interested in trading now lol.

Three things to ALWAYS check for before buying any car or truck. 1) Verify you can shut off ALL lights with the car in gear. Absolutely essential for going to drive-in movies for waiting outside for someone at night. 2) Verify the PASSENGER can enter an address into the navigation system when the vehicle is moving. 3) The engine does not shut off when stopping for a red light. All the above hurt resale value.
Yeah i especially agree with #2, not being able to set nav while passenger is in seat is a no go in the future, I hate my nav for this very reason.

@@abisanchez9676 It wears out the engine. When the engine stops, the oil drains back down into the oil pan. When the engine first starts, there's no lubrication for a few seconds. Right here on TH-cam you can see automotive engineers discussing this "feature". It's estimated that the engine stop-start will save about 1 gallon of gasoline in the LIFE of the vehicle. Why do they do it?. For reasons only a bureaucrat in Washington can answer. When cars are tested for gas mileage, they get a "Brownie point" every Time the engine turns off. The stop-start technology technology exist for the sole purpose of making the EPA happy, not the motoring public.

Can you turn off the auto stop/start? To me its just weird for the engine to turn off at a red light, and I HATE that feature!
The Auto Start/Stop System on the 2018 Chevrolet Traverse with the 3.6 liter V6 can be disabled as follows: Shift into L instead of D and press the + button on the shifter 8 or more times to place the range of the transmission to be from gear 1 to gear 9. In the Driver Information Center, on the dashboard, the transmission gear indicator will show "L9". Your range of gears will be the full range available in D, and the transmission will shift in L9 mode in the same way as it does in D mode, but the auto stop/start will be disabled. On the highway, the engine rpm and overall behavior is the same in both modes except that automatic downshifting while descending a grade will not occur in L9 mode.

Another car manufacturer copying Dodge. Dodge has had the blacktop Edition on all their car models since 2011 that I can recall. Black gloss wheels, black paint, stepped up Interiors and increased performance. Nissan is copying the theme to. Now GM is on the tip to. OH, don't forget good old Ford. They're doing it with the Edge. My God, are there any original automakers out there anymore!
