    Good review.
    For those that think that this is expensive - the loaded Tahoe/Yukon is $25K more than this, and it really doesn't give you more. I'm looking at trading in a 2001 Yukon for this sled. These are already heavily discounted. You can pick one up for $46-47K. That a good value compared to the alternatives.

    Still the largest crossover in the segment as far as cargo capacity.

    3rd row seat is much better than anything out there, even the VW Atlas he mentioned. My wife is 5'2' and she complained about Atlas 3rd row seat and won't even consider it. I am 6'1" - 230lbs also have no issue with 3rd row seat.

      Your 5”2 wife found the atlas 3rd row uncomfortable? I am 6’ and found that it was pretty sufficient. All reviewers of the atlas even this one is saying the atlas has a better 3rd row.

    When will you do a Review of the New 2020 Traverse? And let us know what are the Upgrades.
    Why can't Chevy make the Redline with a middle bench seat? Some of us need all 8 seats. In oder to get the 8 seats I have go all the way down to the LT Leather Trim. They need to make it an available Option to get 8 seats in All Trims, not just the 2 Lower Trims.

    This was a really solid review, highs and lows. I appreciate that the review considered the intended market for the vehicle, and how buyers might use the vehicle day to day. Less of a focus on the personal opinions of the reviewer, but he still provided his impressions.

    Some day tell your kids- you know what, you have to take a loan for college, because I spent 17K in extra car options including brown seats with "rocky mountain" logo - when you were 7 years old.

    • @joerosson
      @joerosson 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I tell my kids that college is ADULT education and they can pay for their own ADULT education. (Never heard of Kids rent fund, kids car fund, kids utiity fund. etc etc etc.) Here is a better idea: someday tell your kids there is a word called "serve" and it is when we serve others. They can start serving in the military. That is a wiser way to finance their ADULT education....if you can call it education.....

    We got the premier ins, paid off good on the chevy trailblazer we had as it was totaled,i had a couple thousand saved 12 down got us 500 a month and the dealers pulled no bluffs we were with the manager, owner,and even the sales person later paid for out of his own pocket some nice floor mats till the ordered ones came in.Everything was transparent,i never thought nothing about heated seats who needs that crap,but I have had a few surgeries and that warme seat and me get along just fine,i tilted the back down all the way told the wife,Go thata way,wake me when we get there. :) SAFE VEHICLE TOO!!!

  • @jimmygross4628

    I really enjoy most of his reviews. However, in this case he missed a lot of technology that Chevrolet has fit into the new Traverse. Surround Vision, Hands Free lift gate with LED, Rear View Mirror camera are just a few examples. I am a Salesperson at a Chevy, Buick, and GMC dealership. GM has put a lot of time and funding into this project and I truly believe this car is an absolute game changer. The Enclave is a lot more defined and smoother but does not offer a lot of the same technology. Videos and Photos do not do this vehicle justice. Go drive One, you will not regret it!

    I have been researching and test driving mid sized 7 seat SUVs and minivans for a year. Pilot, Odyssey, Sierra, Traverse, Pathfinder, Aviator, Telluride, Explorer, and Highlander. I finally settled on a 2020 Traverse redline for practical reasons (SUV with most cargo space behind 3rd row) and fell in love with the looks. The Sierra had me swayed because of the excellent cargo and seating capacity, but after a test drive comparison within 10 min of the traverse test drive, I was all in with the Traverse. The traverse drive is so much better, for the driver anyway - and you look a lot cooler too 😀

    • @webweaver3015
      @webweaver3015 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I should add that the most comfortable seating in all of the cars I tested was the Odyssey, but it was knocked off my list due to no AWD.

    • @webweaver3015
      @webweaver3015 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Aviator was awesome with the interior and tech. But I hate Ford powertrains (I have 3 Fords), cargo space about on par with the explorer, and it was almost $20k more

    • @webweaver3015
      @webweaver3015 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I liked the Telluride a lot, next best cargo space and looks good. Drove good, interior looked decent, but was cheap and couldn't get over the Kia brand.

    I love my 2015 but wow what an improvement. Yes downshifting really helps and in towing mode the transmission is programmed to help hold your speed going downhill while pulling a 2600 lb. trailer even in cruise control. Braking is minimal. Amazing. I'm sure other similar rigs have that ability.

    Does anyone own a 2018 Chevy Traverse LS? An Error message, " All wheel drive system service" occurred after exiting a Parking lot lane in which we turned right. Immediatly I heard what sounded like a knuckle or clock clock knock.
    I looked up on recalls and comments and a 2016 comment came up and stated a loose Bolt on axle. Taking her into dealer tomorrow....please comment your experiences

    • @petrinasimmons6686
      @petrinasimmons6686 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @oscarm.4078 Since they couldn't find the issue, I traded it upgraded to the 21 Blazer RS in 21 no issues. Fast turbo rally sport equally aesthetic with the likes of airline turbo jet vents, really cool interiors red stiched and really a sharp vehicle all around. One glitch hard af on minor bumps like you see in Jeep models and older Lexus RS models.

      About $8,000 MSRP for the new Traverse. Most cargo capacity and C&D got 27 mpg at 75 mph in their 200 mile highway test. No other 3-row crossover or SUV will match that with AWD and Twin Clutch AWD.

      Tahoe equipped like this would be about $65K. And it wouldn't handle or ride as well.

    • @dcjohnson2490
      @dcjohnson2490 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh I know, I was referring to an entry-level Tahoe. I'm also aware that it would have none of the features for the fully-loaded Traverse. I was simply speaking solely on the $45-50k price tag. Also, I agree with you about the ride/handling. With the traverse being a crossover unibody vehicle and the Tahoe being a true-value 4x4 the ride qualities will be vastly better in terms of drive impressions, right/step in height, refinement, gas mileage and even parking.
